“We need a second star” guys he’s already on the team…

Don’t get me wrong , if we can swing a deal for another star level player that’s in our favor then I’m all for it(let’s say you somehow get Lauri for capela and a first or something)but that obviously won’t happen. We don’t need to mortgage the little future(draft wise) we already have when it’s obvious we’re not up there with the Boston’s , Denver’s, etc of the world . I would love for us to go the depth route , put great fit pieces next to Trae & Jalen , have a deep team & great coaching … a well mesh roster is a 50 win team in this eastern conference, again if there’s a trade out there that we clearly came out on top then DO IT !. This isn’t me saying run the same roster back absolutely not but putting great pieces that make sense around these two is much better than swinging for the fences when we’re not there yet .

  1. Be fucking for real he’s not a second star 😭 he’s the future GOAT 😍

Where does Jalen rank vs the other second stars on every playoff team in the east right now? You are underestimating the strength of the east right now. Sure it isn’t as tough as the west, but how many teams that finished better than the hawks improved this offseason and still have better rosters than the hawks when you look at them realistically? Maybe the hawks jumped Miami this offseason, but do you see them jumping any of the others confidently right now? And the hawks still have to deal with injuries because they have injury prone players and their medical staff have disappointed for years. And fyi, 50 wins was good for the 2 seed last year.

This gotta be the type of posts to convince the front office to never be aggressive and get a star 💀

He is the best player on our team. Absolute stud.

  5. IceTraeDaGang

He’s gonna definitely average 22/10/5 next season the only question is will it be on godlike efficiency or good efficiency.

  6. If JJ hadnt gotten injured for such an extended chunk he was MIP last year. Anyone not hyped on him taking a bigger role hasnt been paying attention

    unironically.

    NOW LET ME USE STATISTICS

    JJ 22-23: 5.6 PPG / 4.0 RPG / 1.0 APG

    JJ 23-24: 16 PPG / 8.7 RPG / 3.6 APG

If we extrapolate this increase in stats between 22-23 and 23-24 this means:

    JJ 24-25: 26.4 PPG / 13.4 RPG / 6.2 APG

You heard it right, JJ is averaging 26/13/6 next season. I am not delusional and this is totally valid.

if we had two star caliber players we wouldn’t have lost in the play in game

  9. Can we just stay healthy. And play defense. The EAst was wide open now we still last team in.

If he waits until 2025 to sign his rookie extension he would be doing the Hawks a huge solid.

  11. For real tho, hes good in isolation. He has great court vision. He’s efficient. The real test is how much of this stuff keeps with increase usage. But I think he will make up for DJM alone easily.

He’s definitely the goat of Atlanta. If he develops his perimeter shooting or his rebounding a little more he’ll be an Allstar for sure. He’s gonna be putting up some serious numbers this next season

We need more than 2 stars. The Celtics have like 4. The sixers have 3.

  14. DeAndreHunterMIP

Can someone remind me why he dropped to 20 in the draft? I remember he had issues at Duke but I’ve been trying to look up what they were but nothing came up

  15. Adventurous_Cap9072

I just hope he can stay healthy for a full season

I mean wasn’t he the best player on our team statistically when healthy? This kid has shown flashes of consistency and stardom. Might be an unpopular take but I’d rather invest him for the future than Trae. This kid has all the skills and a lebron-esque learning ability.
