Just posted this but damn that is more money than I thought he’d get. Huge coup for OKC still…they just showed up 2 huge weaknesses.
People here are still gonna act like the Poeltl contract is bad, when in reality it’s actually a very fair contract for a solid defensive starting caliber big who’s still only 28
Probably the most important signing OKC could have made. He’s exactly what they needed.
This is definitely an overpay, but OKC needs to do it to get its targets, and Thunder has a ton of cap space anyways. I honestly think it is a good move.
As expected. Can’t wait to see what the nephews here and in /r/nba_draft have to say about the Thunder getting a non-shooting big.

The beauty for us, OKC only has so many minutes and money, but has more draft picks and talent than room, iirc
Somehow, someway, we need one of those pieces that fall off
