Gary Trent Jr.? The best remaining NBA Free Agents | DNVR Nuggets Podcast

on today’s dmvr nuggets podcast we’re going to talk about the free agents who are still available that would make sense for Denver we’ll go through the list of the main ones say yes or no we’re also going to be looking at things that are possible in the 2025 season that have not really been on our radar in previous seasons and then lastly Christian Brown what’s an optimistic and pessimistic outcome for him in this upcoming season all on the other side oh Bab great comment in the chat already what do we got really is a good one what is up everybody welcome to the dnba show let’s go much better energy today man I’m feeling it I am feeling it we got the fellas we got some good topics we’ve got qualifiers Olympic qualifiers going on there was actually basketball today I don’t know if we’re going to talk about it but there was basketball we’re here at the Toyota Lounge driven by your Front Range Toyota stores toy to the official vehicle of dmvr the fellas are in their house over here a forest green shirt for INF fol yeah just bow bowing to our new Celtics overlords uh a I didn’t realize that we were so good here’s why I’m going to start Today’s Show I left my water on Harrison’s side get I’m gonna stand up and get it what is this is this oh my gosh right there there it is look at that uh speaking of Harrison big papa himself um some personal news I’ve upgraded from Grande to Venti at Starbucks I’m now I’m now a venty guy yeah that’s big news you what yeah big news I get it man get big personal news I get it it’s guy there you go not happy about it but it’s the reality of the situation we’re do you think this is a temporary thing like to get you through a season God I hope so I like this amount of caffeine can’t be healthy for everyone let’s just go we actually never break the fourth wall on this like you know now that you’re into this a little bit sleep crazy sleep schedule still grinding like a dog well I’m guessing that’s why you’re getting coffee are you just getting the extra coffee for no reason wasn’t that in play yeah line up I know um no I mean it’s been incredible so far uh it’s it’s awesome being a father is great she’s an angel during the day and an absolute demon at night like I don’t know what’s going on like she she will sleep anywhere yeah for any amount of time that you let her during the day like she would probably sleep on that chair during this show yeah of course the second it gets past like 11: p.m. forget about it yeah it’s all over man this is why like when athletes have a a kid or something some I I say this all the time guys will go through a slump or whatever and people will try try to figure it out but you’ll know a story behind the scenes about something that’s not allowed to be shared like a personal matter sometimes it’s as simple as yeah they just had a kid they like man why is he in slump oh well CU he’s a ventti venty coffee guy now yeah I mean have I looked up how much it costs for a night nurse yeah that was that was a quick that was a quick browse on the internet well she that’s not going to happen she’s she’s been having meltdowns at night you would say meltdowns it’s not just like say okay okay has she been having meltdowns at night sure meltdowns use your kid for well as a segue uh nuggets Twitter has been having a meltdown of their own over the last 24 hours or really 48 hours and you know I get it man I honestly can’t blame them for it I think that the nuggets are entering a phase that is different than any phase that they have been on even if I personally am not as Doom and Gloom as I think the average or even certainly not the worst but the most and most vocal but of the average nuggets fan I certainly feel less comfortable and certain about the Nuggets right now than probably at any point since um Purgatory yeah so really over the last two years so I get it but at the same time I will say my first comment on the show it’s been an interesting 24 hours online man people very very mad well the nuggets are you know I spoke spoke with someone uh in the in the team yes on the team yesterday and uh and they were saying that it’s the first time in a while that the nuggets have had to get better you know it’s like they they they were kind of it’s felt like maybe something inevitable was coming everyone felt comfortable with the plan even if they fell short let’s stay the course and with the then you win then you fall short and everyone around you gets better right and so there’s a sense now uh you know from from some of the folks internally and I’m sure externally with all of the fans of like man we need to PL plan a looked so great for so long right and now it’s kind of a bit about plan plans B and C right now and I think that’s a weird place to be just shortly removed from the greatest run in team history turbulence in a plane crash I imagine feel the same for a period you know what I mean like the first 5 Seconds of a plane crash probably just feel like turbulence and I think that that’s a little bit of what it it is is you when you go through A Moment Like This I mean the Nuggets if you could draw out what the yach era looks like drafted in 2014 comes over in 15 and it’s a straight line up almost I mean yes the Murray injury happened that created a bit of a pause you know that that Purgatory period but it’s mostly been a linear climb and then the championship and this last year’s a little bit of a Down you lose Bruce Brown they don’t they don’t make it to the Conference Finals and then this year it just feels like from a roster construction another Point down and so like I said it feels like is this turbulence is this the you get to the top and then it’s just kind of like this you kind of go up and down you have up years and down years and and things change or is this like no man this is this is like a trend that now is going to continue an equal measure and I think that’s part of the freakout at least you know for the nuggets and then I just don’t think they trust the vision honestly of Calvin Booth I don’t think he has communicated or sold the fan base on a vision that they agree with I think he’s tried and been pretty clear about his vision I agree but it’s clearly one that people don’t believe in well that’s what Ian that’s why I say I don’t think they have sold him on it I don’t I honestly don’t know if he cares like I think he he just goes but right right right you can definitely see the vision you know what his plan is um but I mean yeah it’s it’s a tough sell coming off a year that they just came off of I mean it’s it’s tough to keep going on that vision and to sell people on it when that’s what happened um yeah even at ball Arena yesterday there wasn’t like a feeling or a sense of um like oh we’re back it was kind of like uneasy feeling of like oh see what happens this summer yeah you know see what happens like yeah I don’t know yeah it wasn’t like a championship feeling to me and there are people that are very good at exuding confidence and you know oh I should put my trust in this guy when they don’t deserve it like there’s people that are just really really good at that and there are people that are bad at doing that even when they have a good vision and then of course everybody in between where we are right now it’s unclear but certainly the part that is clear is that that part of it there doesn’t feel seem to be this like we’re rallying around the the the thing and we all know where this is going and and we have it no there’s little conflicts in Civil Wars I think in the organization in the fandom online certainly uh because of slight differences of of opinion not actually slight massive and fundamental differences of opinion on how to go forward the funny thing is I don’t know how encouraging it would be if booth is already zagging because like it or not it it’s like a president at the start of their term being like yo this is going to take you know maybe two terms to come to fruition and then year two everyone hates the plan and we’re like scrap it you know it’s a long-term plan it and I’m not saying I love it by the way because I I feel like they could have and should have kept kcp but it’s a long-term plan and he’s not going to deviate this early right right I I don’t think Calvin boo is shocked by anything that’s occurred in the last Cali I don’t think he’s shocked and I think he’s very clear and confident about the vision going forward like I don’t think his confidence has been shaken at all but I do think they’re deviating slightly from their plan how so Russell Westbrook yeah yeah to play over jayen picket in year two I well as I have said big man to play you know over whoever it might be in the front court that one to a lesser extent but I think that one too Russell Westbrook like signing this veteran you know point guard to play 25 minutes a night this year I don’t think that’s what they envisioned like a couple years ago at this point when they were at the draft last year right I you’re you’re right to some extent I’ve long said that I think the plan with Jaylen picket was last year plan when it didn’t work out I do think there’s like a diminishing return on that plan that it’s like it’s even more risky this year to say that Midway through last year when he didn’t play at all that’s probably when they realize like okay like we’re going to have to do maybe something different here and you know what he’s still on the roster so maybe there’s something you know he gets an opportunity this year and it works out but I think as far as going into this year with him as the next guy would have been super dubious I want to bring up this one though because I think this is the central thing about think and by the way I want to make it clear feel how you want to feel about this think how you want to think nobody really knows how this is going to play out and so if you do feel Doom and Gloom I don’t blame you like there this is a moment of uneasiness that is less clear at least to me personally it’s less clear than previous off seasons have been so I’m by no means tell like trying to say that you’re wrong in feeling that way um one thing I’ll say though one of the central questions and I think it really paints how you feel about this is is this all about the cronies being cheap and I think that one is even a tough one to answer to be honest with you avoiding there are real I know the number one reason the Nuggets feel that they would not want to go into the second and it is for flexibility and I know a lot of people will say yeah but flexibility I mean never never makes moves like that so what is the point I think it is this season is much more likely to see a trade and I would say even if you just said the next two seasons one of the things that’s different about this season more than any others is it feels like the Nuggets could change directions in a major way not a kcp which is already a major enough move but I never thought they would trade Jamal Murray I never thought they would trade Michael Porter Aaron Gordon or any of those guys whereas this is a year that feels like that’s at least on the table if if something were to come up I think part of that is Calvin Booth probably would be more willing to take a swing on something like that but also when you get to this point the question is how do we stay here and the answer might end up being that a Murray is traded for I mean for a superstar player I don’t think they’re just doing that to reset the deck but you could foresee a world where there was like you know a Luca or something of that nature that became available and they tried to pounce on it and I think that is why like can you imagine a world where Denver could not trade for Luca he really wants to come to Denver and you couldn’t do it because of a second apron and I honestly think Denver thinks that way I think Denver looks at it and says what’s really important is yoke everything else is in it there’s a second tier and a third one and I think the idea of going into that that’s the main motivating factor but yeah I also think that I understand why people think that cronies are cheap and I’m not 100% sold that this move isn’t at least partially motivated by their cheapness yeah yeah I mean it I would it is possible for them to retain kcp and keep AG around in the future they could do that whether it’s wise prudent realistic whatever but they could do that they could I think the only reason that it’s not kind of easy to point to that is it almost just sounds like this is just how Booth sees it yeah you know I actually think that’s reason number one personally I think it is believes in what this is not meant as blind defense of an owner of ownership that I think quite possibly could be cheap but it’s it’s just that I think Calvin boo simply looks at the situation and goes yeah Christian will be fine yeah Christian will be fine yeah I whether agree not yeah I I think like the biggest reason they didn’t go into the second apron is because that’s what the front office thought was the best option for the team flexibility maneuverability the rer they have all that come together um like at the end of season presser Josh Kony Calvin boot said they weren’t scared to go into the second apron um so either like maybe they were lying I don’t know but um I kind of take them at their word a little bit there and I think if the best thing if the front office thought the best thing for the team was to do that they would have sold ownership on that vision and that’s what would have happened like that’s that’s what I keep coming back to I just think they thought the path forward is what happened and what they did I will say that this nuggets team was built though by the time these negotiations were taking place between owners and I this is the one thing I’ll say about the kronies I do think they love the second apron because I do think in most of the League’s future this will serve them nicely as an excuse of well we don’t go over this number there’s a number that’s almost an effective hardap and we always get to stay under it there is something we’re at this very moment it hurts him but if you just look at the ownership of 15 years of the Denver Nuggets maybe twice ever would they have wanted to go above the second apron and this happens to be one of the times where I think it probably would have just been smart so my thing about the cronies being cheap is I don’t think that they send a message to the GM I think the GM believes in this vision and this is the direction he wanted to go motivation number one flexibility in the future motivation number two the cheapness part of it I personally don’t believe that doesn’t mean the cronies aren’t cheap I think they voted for this rule because they’re cheap but I think the rule hurting them this year here is more about their uh belief in a different direction whether Calvin boo sat there in whatever meeting they had and was like the best thing for us to do for now for the next couple years for Nicole y’s Prime is to go into the second apron this year that’s the best thing to do here’s why I feel like that’s what would have happened I feel like they would have gone into the second apron and not not telling anyone that you have to love it you you can you can certainly disagree with with Calvin Booth I just do think that that’s the way it happened yeah um so there you go that’s kind of how I feel I’m definitely uneasy about it I expect it’s weird I we keep waiting on some of these deals that we anticipate to happen and you know who knows with this new free agency not even just Denver across the NBA we’re waiting for deals to drop and they’re not dropping so I guess it’ll go into this holiday weekend but um you know we’ve previewed a lot of what we think we’ll happen so we’ll go a different direction today on month that’s betterhelp hp.com dnvr by the way move Vagner just goes to a deal 11 million a year the the big surprise of the offseason so far is how much bigs are getting paid yeah go go past basically the same deal isn’t it as Zeke Naji that’s crazy you know what I mean like and it’s just the centers man have gone for a lot of money some of the names that were thrown around as potential suitors ended up getting like four times more than what Denver could have offered anyway so Drummond five mil Drummond five mil I mean Drummond’s you’re an anti- Drummond guy I’m pretty anti- Drummond man I’m pretty you know where Drummond is best Drummond is best when your main Center gets hurt and he has to fill in for four games cuz I don’t think he’s a good backup but he is almost a good like replace that and that team isn’t ready and all of a sudden he grabs 19 boards but it’s it lasts for like two three maybe four games and then it’s like all right now he’s just teams know what they’re doing here um by the way you guys did you guys see the Slovenia loss today got blown out by Croatia yeah you know who’s on that croati tuned in for that game just for to watch Slovenia nothing else no other reason I’d be tuned in just to watch Slovenia ponia was pretty good total attention was pretty good there zubot zubot was really good had a triple double um pretty interesting um don’t don’t drive up his value so let’s talk about things that are possible this year things that are just possible the nuggets have skated by kind of easy honestly to this point without too many crazy distractions I’m going to say the first thing this year that I think is more possible than it has ever been and that is that Michael Malone gets fired I don’t think he gets fired in the middle of the Season guys I’m not saying that this will happen but I think this is the first year you could walk in and say is Michael Malone on the hot seat and we just know okay maybe there’s been I do think it can be overstated some of the Schism between front office and Coach but nonetheless it’s clearly like you know you think about that and I think this is a year where it’s like if the Nuggets start poorly or not playing the way that you know ownership and front office wants that would be a conversation that will hang over the season I think um I don’t know if we’re there I don’t we’re not there hold on to be clear we aren’t there but I’m saying this year if that’s a possibility that has not existed before I’ve never thought Malone was going to get fired in a season in an offseason maybe but never in a season uh sure yeah I mean I think I I I think the tension that everyone sees is palpable between the front office and Malone and I don’t think no matter what anyone say says that they’re going going to suddenly be on the same page uh about how to go forward here so I think this Fric this friction stands to get worse if they don’t start winning thing is when you win oh it’s so true all goes away n this matter it’s still there it just doesn’t matter no one cares when you’re losing this stuff grates and builds and turns into bigger conversations so I think that that friction I think that that friction is is at risk of really heating up this year so do you what way do you see he seems to think it’s not a thing that could happen I think it’s a thing that this year again I just wouldn’t be blown away if that was a conversation during the season we’ve never had that conversation before yeah I would still be pretty surprised if it got to that during the season um just because like the bottom line is I still think the nuggets are going to be really good like could they win 57 games again sure of course they can I think that’s a very realistic like win total for them this year I I would bet so hard against that really yeah 57 wins I think they’re going to be better than most people think but 57 I will say bet 365 does have them as the best odds to win the West there you go whatever you know if you just browsed the title odds like the nuggets are the favorites come out of the West um so I think they’re going to have another like very good regular season just looking at the roster right now um and yes there of course is tension there we’ve talked about that we know that I have actually some optimism that there’s going to be you know more common ground between front office and coaching staff I agree this coming season than there was last year oh then last year okay I I just sense some optimism like from the Nuggets about yeah like we’re going to have a different regular season philosophy this year in terms of playing the entire roster not playing the starters as many minutes mixing and matching more starters in bench with the rotations I I just sense some early optimism there from talking to people now it’s July 2nd we’ll see what happens when the season actually starts and when uh times actually get stressful in during games but right now I I just sense some optimism that there could be more connectivity there and um like there there could be a little more alignment this year than last year I think things will settle down I think that the end of this season was very hard on everybody players coaches front office ownership I just think everybody felt the Sting the way that the fan base did and so I think there’s tensions are high now but I do agree with you that you get into Camp you get around guys and those things kind of melt away and then to your point if they win then things are great I’m just saying that this is not a conversation that I think was even on the radar to me now it’s on the radar albeit very far out but I do see it um I even say you said 57 wins I put on here nuggets fighting for home court now I think they if you you told me like of what I expect the roster to shake out as I would be like I think I’m in like the 52 win range that’s probably where I would land yeah me too but the thing is is 52 wins especially with if you make major moves you have a new starter which you haven’t had for two years in a row does that mean a slower start I could see a world where Denver spent some time this year as the 876 seed you know because you think about how bunched up everything is I could see it where you get to a point on Christmas where it’s like yeah they’re in the seven seed and they’ve been there the whole year and they have to make a season push or something to get over there I mean we’ve been so used the last couple years to being number one two or three half you know early on and just holding that spot but I could see this being a year where it’s a little bit different and I don’t think that’d be the worst thing in the world probably not I think the Nuggets want to become a process over results type of team and last year they were total results and what I mean by that is we’re going to play our guys as much as we want like we’re going to fight through injuries we’re going to do all that we’re going to go for the number one seed late in the season not thinking about the bigger picture and going back to what I just said earlier about maybe more alignment between front office and coaching staff like if the nuggets have a Miami Heat type of regular season look they’re not going to be in the playin they don’t want that but if they could be a four seed maybe even a five seed and have the starters expend 70% of the energy that they expended last year I think they would take that yeah yeah I mean you it’s a good time to remind ourselves high how high the floor is when you have yic on the team it’s just I think people forget I mean even when worst case scenarios happened Murray and Porter and then other that’s true missing two actually the two main scores there was one year too where then like at the end um then Monte goes down and will remember that like it was it’s and they still win 50 games I mean the the floor is going to and even last year man if you didn’t love the off season they go into the and and no one loves the way this the postseason ended they won 57 games I they’re winning games shouldn’t be too big of a problem without a catastrophic injury the floor is way higher than people think yeah like it’s nowhere near play in man even if the West got better they’re going to win games right I mean the qu I think the questions are about like the tighter margins at the playoffs and the best of the best by the way I don’t mean that the think the nuggets are going to be an eight seed or seven seed I just mean that there’s a chance that they don’t get off to a super hot start like they’ve had a lot of hot starts you know through this era like where it’s like okay that 80 start or 70 start propelled you I just wouldn’t be surprised if this one was a little bit more if you bring in some new pieces especially maybe some volatile ones well just if you have a different starting lineup starting lineup alone although there’s going to be some growing panss there Christian Brown did play 22 minutes last year with the starter so only 22 huh it’s the craziest stat you could throw have you seen their net rating though I’ve heard it’s good look up the net rating that’s yic and Christian Brown not just that with the starters I looked up the net rating for uh Christian Brown and the starters what was in those 22 minutes got a little excited not going to lie 22 minutes baby give it to me 100 I think it was like a 34 net rating yeah plus 34 bab plus 34 in 22 minutes that means they were like plus one plus four or something um crushed it yic unhappy I put on here and this is the thing like not I this is more outside noise than than real noise but I do like you already start seeing that my my mentions have only been yoke is going to ask out he’s going to ask out he’s going to ask out I don’t actually think he is and like I said I think things will be good but I do think that those are just again conversations that have never followed like you think about LeBron James and all of the attention some of this he brings on himself but his team’s all the time like every player that plays with LeBron has to be in trade rumors all year long just has to be even his son that would be a good one part of the job man part of the job get used to it buddy sorry but that is nature of the business when you’re with LeBron and I really believe this that yoke is now elevated into that status and the nuggets have unfortunately elevated into the status where any sign of like oh we’re not sure about this team people just go to the trade machine when I say people I mean the people that form the narratives you know like you might turn on first take or one of these shows and they’re starting to talk about should joic demand this or demand that and we’ve just never had that before nobody’s ever speculated about yic demanding thing right and I think part of Booth’s gamble here is to avoid this game of musical chairs of Demands and trades and and just kind of SL moving pieces around horizontally um and he’s and he’s hoping that something sustainable can grow in its place there uh but it’s a short Runway before the conversation starts as you said outside on this show on National shows luckily I do think Denver benefits a bit here in a way that we used to all get kind of Stuffy about but I think it helps them and it it never gets too loud in Denver it just doesn’t but even if the even if there’s as much basis for a should yic ask out or whatever like they’re just not going to lead sports center with that so that’s actually an advantage I think in times like these that you you you really don’t even have to hear the noise too much but I there’s a little bit it’s a short Runway if it doesn’t look like any of these guys are good enough I mean I think the fan base as we know is pretty much already there a lot of them they’re ready to start having conversations about what it takes to take advantage of what’s left of the Prime trade joic that we’re talking about I’m just saying that as a not trade joic would like jokic’s level of content becoming a topic of conversation I think I mean on the hook Collective they’re already saying this they’re already like well yic G to just like if the nuggets are in the playing in December yeah yeah yeah it’s probably going to come up I feel like National Talking Heads have refused that conversation in the past just because it’s a waste of time with Nicole yic he’s really just the one superstar that even if you’re ESPN you can’t convince yourself to do a segment on that right because like it’s just so unbelievable you can you can convince yourself that Luca would demand a trade that joic you just can’t convince yourself of that but look they’ve had a little instability this summer losing kcp you’ve got that narrative if if they get off to a rough start during the regular season yeah I think it it could come up but my thing with Nicole yic has always been I think he’s happiest and most at peace if the nuggets are playing the right way and like even and they could be playing the right way in the five or six seed yeah and he’ll be perfectly happy um so I think that’s what is most the last one here which is kind of a double-edged sword I think this is the a year just like Giannis experienced after 2022 where people are so hungry to move on from him being the best player in the world I personally think he might not have the MVP distraction this year I just think the default might be like he would have to like triple earn it to be able to get it and so but again that’s the one to me that I go that might actually be the nicest part of this season for the first time in Five Seasons it just he just might be third or fourth an MVP voting in a way was really a distraction last year though this last year no because they were coming off the championship right that’s the difference this year they’re not and so you don’t have that in your back because last year it was like he could win it he’s the reigning play he’s the best player in the world reing NBA champ he deserves it but this year if you start to be like he’s the leader for a fourth one and he’s coming off that people will just start that conversation it’ll feel a lot more like 2022 I I think we’re we might be a lot back to the a much closer to the place where no one really talks about Denver at all yeah it could be oh this is Beautiful by way I don’t want to say Hunter Hunted but please don’t that’s the place that’s the place where we live um that’s the be great that’s the place where the team lives if you get Westbrook that ain’t true though they certainly didn’t take and run with the uh favorites best team in the world narrative did not did not sit very well with them but I think just winning 53 games again but no one talks about Denver all year I feel like we’re back I feel like we’re back that’d be great what if the um the uh less distractions and nobody talking about uh the Nuggets actually propels joic to have his best season ever and win another MVP the less the less attention the team just the team loves that you know they they play into that and they play better it could be honestly in a weird way it could be great for that just being a little bit outside the radar and outside the conversation who knows all right let’s take a break let’s take a look at some other free agents we of course think we know who are have who the leaders candidates are we’ve talked about Westbrook but there’s some other guys maybe that falls through maybe there’s other guys we’ll talk about those guys and how they would fit in Denver Toyota is the official vehicle of dnvr we’re chilling here in the Toyota Lounge you guys hanging out in the Toyota chat uh gamble responsibly if you were someone you know as a gambling problem wants help caller tx800 gambling um we are back here segment three so let’s talk about some of these guys that are still available as free agents this may be an incomplete list like was we started an hour ago kale made a list we had five Center free agents I think we’re down to like one or two yeah we’re down to two guys are get we made the graphic an hour ago uh let’s go to the pg list here let’s go to point guards tus Jones Marquel folz Kyle Lowry Patrick Beverly why did you just say Kyle Lowry like that Kyle Lowry Kyle Lowry what do we think of uh this crop of guys I’ll be honest man Markel FZ see would he be like worth the risk on this no I mean he’s a good Defender he’s long the Nuggets need somebody who can put the ball in the basket at point guard backup point guard man they you think that you do that’s what you think yeah I do I think so none of these guys I think Patrick Beverly is still decent I just think he’s too big of a distraction I think joic would get annoyed by him I think he would too actually yeah he’s he’s decent though he’s a decent option yeah he’s just so annoying got to subscribe to his podcast yeah I just don’t oh that’s right I just don’t want him around I’ll say it that way tus Jones for me off this list so wa Russell West I guess Russell Westbrook not a free agent not a free agent Harrison correct so he’s not on the list I would say tyus Jones I mean I don’t he doesn’t it’s just like a safe it’s like if Monte was still good you oh really you think Monte’s not good no I’m just Kidd a lot of people talking talk about Monte let’s talk about him real quick I was exaggerating a little bit when I said that by the way Colin Gillespie and Monte Morris now signing for phoenix mean of course Monte Morris like they needed a point guard I think he fits there um look I think here’s a PSA on free agency people have this um this idea free agency as like the nuggets have a list of 20 guys they’re going after 20 different guys five point guards five shooting guards and every time somebody sign they cross one off the list and you know Monte Morris signs and it’s like oh the Nuggets missed out on another guy right that’s not how it works um in NBA free agency most guys that the Nuggets would go after like the Monte Morris level guy the Delon Wright level player most of those guys know where they’re going before free agency even starts maybe they’re picking between one or two teams and so teams like the Nuggets that are going after like just a couple guys they they have a very specific list that they go into free agency with it’s not like they go into free agency with 30 different guys that they’re looking at I think Denver like had two or three guys that they were looking at going into free agency and it’s still those same guys right it’s not like they Monte Morris got signed by the Suns and the nuggets are like damn we missed out on another one I I don’t think the Nuggets had any interest in Monte Morris I don’t think they had any interest in D Wright um they had a very specific list of guys that they were looking at and like I don’t think it’s a case where it’s oh the Nuggets keep missing out on guys that that’s not how it works yeah I think that I think you’re right especially about the part about Denver not having interest in Monte Morris and by the way I remember Monte might be good there we all love Monte he might be good there on a team in particular where spot up three-point shooting is going to be huge he can do that and then just get the ball where it’s supposed to go which he’s really good point guard in that regard I don’t know how well he’ll defend on that team that’s one of the things you wonder about him but look bers can’t be choosers and the suns are Beggars and so are we for the unit but I will also say too like it’s it didn’t like there Monte’s exit wasn’t awesome from Denver like he was shocked by that trade you know and he has spoken publicly about there being at least one trade in his career where he uh didn’t think it was coming because maybe he was told it wasn’t coming uh and he got traded anyway so can I tell you something though this is where we’re talking out of two sides of our mouth though everybody that was saying you know this was was one of the things and I love Tim gley but it really was one of his weaknesses was he just couldn’t do this and and so my point is that there’s this angle of like oh what a rude thing to be able to just ship a player out this or that and I’m like guys there’s two types of GM and there there’s a line there between the like ruthless and this happens all the time and the guy who never happens and I’m saying you can’t be both and that trade got them that trade was a home run it got them kcp they want a title my point of that was not to vilify Booth but that just Monte want to come back that’s the other thing is it’s always a two-way it’s always a two-way street um of those guys none of a move you I want to buy Markel I want to buy great defender I want to buy it but you always get a little scared about a player like that um you go to shooting guards here kale what do we have for shooting guards that was really exciting with point guards you guys don’t want to run that back one more time all right I’m going to give you guys a hot take here did I actually believe what well first of all I’m going to ask what happened to Gary Trent Jr he was good he was good he was interesting he was feisty he was a nuggets killer is he is he like uh he might be something wrong with him or something you know like he might be a behind the scenes problem CU I’m shocked that he’s not more coveted Gary Trent reminds me of Bruce Brown enough that I go could he be the next Bruce Brown dude he’s just sitting out there could be the cheapest deal out there I remember him eating Michael Porter Jr’s lunch do you guys remember that it was like early in mpj’s career they High School Rivals they’re high school Rivals and Gary Trent Jr looked like friend Rivals it looked like Anthony Edwards it was unbelievable did actually he was into him exact absolutely his lunch yeah man it was tough and ever since then that guy has scared me and then we just never heard from him again he’s an athlete he can shoot and you know he has that defensive intensity I feel like that’s what you need around he can’t defend he he’s had the defensive intensity what what does that mean he gets into guys plays hard yeah like of bad Defenders there’s guys that there’s guys that don’t play defense at all and there’s guys that try yeah I don’t know why Gary Trent’s gone on signed I’m guessing he’s just going to go back to Toronto maybe I mean seems like that could have happened already are there any other guys that you like in this list that you think are can you bring up the list again kale I totally missed it uh no buddy hee I could actually get into buddy heeld he kind of sucks but you need shooting you need shooting would be nice just get a guy out there to Launch some threes um like he was pretty bad in Philadelphia yeah the second half of last season when they got him um but he’d probably get a little Nicole yic bump I I could talk myself into buddy heeld small forwards let’s go to small forwards here it is highlighted by demard Rosen Cody Martin sadique Bay and then a couple options that probably aren’t options I feel like this show has had to had a quiet crush on the Martin twins for a while I feel like we like that was the one that was the free AG I don’t know I thought it was Caleb oh really I thought it was I thought it was I think it’s Caleb but either way I don’t think that he’s get I mean that’s going to be a guy that I think ends up signing a little bit more money well kind of like some of the guys we just looked at he Gary Trent Jr Demar Ro and sadik Bay I mean it’s really sadique Bay if we’re get talking realistic expectations here at sadique Bay so yeah another shooter uh I’d be cool with sad Bay really on a minimum what’s he doing though here shooting okay standing in the corner and shooting I can’t believe we put this one together on power forwards I don’t know why we added LeBron James this is my bad kale I I not kale it’s me I’m the one that did well he is technically a free agent he is technically a free agent we can go out and get him that would be pretty awesome miles Bridges Kyle Anderson tyan Prince I know don’t I can’t believe but what was the point cuz I went to the site that had the like top guys you know and then pasted them and then followed by Miles Bridges sick um Tori and Prince is probably the name here that somebody looks I like Precious AA I think he’s good would you take him on in Denver absolutely PR the precious AA Market though is like way higher than this man like you think about Goa baz and what he got well you have LeBron James on I mean I’m just I’m just going off the list know you give me a list I go I have a lot of jobs here you guys have a lot of jobs also no to Miles Bridges just just Kyle Anderson on that list I like Kyle Anderson Denver could use honestly that type of player I don’t think you’re getting him though I just don’t think that has happened yeah that’s not gonna happen um and then the Center Market here is interesting this is the one where everything got deleted because this another great graphic Messi metu and Dario s and one power forward it just kind of shows you that there’s not really a ton of great options this can’t be the extent of the available centers the available centers list man who else is there I mean Tillman just got scooped up Mo vogner just got teamed up James wisman just got James wisman man can you imagine if Denver’s plan was wisman was that Indiana but took that took that I think it was yeah I I think the Nuggets had a conversation about wisman oh my God that would have ruined me that would have been rough that would that one would have honestly ruined me if they would have gotten wisan I think they chose right if they would have gotten wisman they would have literally followed in the footsteps of every team that won a title and then ruined it the Warriors the the Lakers the Bucks yes and then also do you want to get sad how much worse have the backup center options been in the last he’s been worse honestly he’s been worse he’s actually I’m not even kidding he’s been worse I’m not saying I want him I’m just saying here are some other available backup centers what do you got Daniel Ty Cody Tristan Thompson javil McGee bobon Omare utan Thomas Bryant Thomas Bryant let’s do it can you imagine there are a bunch of you imagine of those me DeAndre those guys are all other with the exception of Ty those guys are all DeAndre Jordans like Jay Huff still out there those guys are all DeAndre Jordans like if you brought in a javil McGee he’s here to be the DeAndre Jordan Ro you don’t bring him going to be above it so I say all that to say Westbrook maybe doesn’t sound so bad after you go through the kind of the list I actually am talking myself into it no I think you’re in a place now where it’s it’s first of all it’s following Reggie Jackson it’s if it plays out the way we theorize it would be on a minimum yeah and you’re you’re out of routes to make yourself to to like improve this roster so this is to me when everything was perfect on this team or virtually perfect and people are like let’s add Westbrook that’s like throwing a lit match up in gasoline like why but I just think the situation has changed now where you you’re like the risk reward I think is pretty low at that point um or or especially compared to other choices so I just think it’s at this point yeah man I mean that we’re down we’re down to bottom of the barrel options I think that’s how they looked at point guard in free agency like I think they wanted to kind of go high reward potentially like the Monte morrises the tus Joneses The dwn Wrights I don’t think the Nuggets were interested in any of those guys I think they were like oh Russell Westbrook like that could actually do something like I think if CH Paul was available that’s a guy the Nuggets would have had interest in as well um like higher reward guys than just a Monte yeah do you all right let’s take a break on the other side I want to talk about Christian Brown and as he is the guy now that moves into the spotlight likely moving into the uh starting lineup what’s the upside and downside for him in this year three I got some takes I got some takes as well oh we have no break that’s that’s right K reminds me and I foring around all right Christian Brown moving into the starting lineup I’ve identified a couple of things the very first thing is what does he shoot from three you think about it might clog up the offense a little bit to guys not guarding him that closely or or what have you but that also means that he would get wide open shots I think he shot 39% from three this year I don’t think it’s crazy he could shoot that on volume or even 40% given that he’s going to be guarded probably given space given that he’s going to be playing with starters playing with nikic in fact would you know that um oh yeah I was going to say playing with yic he shot 40% playing with joic last year 39.6% that’s pretty good I just it’s possible the shooting yeah I mean I think on volume I think Brown wide open for a spot up three is something I can live with yeah I don’t know if teams are going to be worried about Brown on the move yeah uh so Brown from the corners out of that pick and roll um but I mean I definitely think he’s he improved like last year he got to a place where if he was open above the break and he was set I felt pretty good about the three there is something to even though we overrate a little bit kcp three-point shooting it did seem to me like teams respected it it did seem to me like teams stayed connected to him as he darted along the perimeter they might not do that with Christian and that’s that’s the big difference to me but wiatt open threes I think Christian showed some improvement last year uh and it’s it’s pretty fair to to expect I think some marginal Improvement again in year three I think he can get better there yeah I think Christian’s a guy who’s going to get steadily better at like every aspect of offense every season like I feel like he’s a very by the book type of guy and like linear in his Improvement like I feel like he’s going to get better as a shooter better as a driver better as a finisher better as a passer like every aspect of offense for him I don’t think he’s ever going to take these massive leaps yeah but I think steadily he’s going to get better at everything offensively little by little every season what about this one which is one I really I I’m buying by the way I think he can shoot really well next year I just do I don’t think he’ll shoot at the mid-range I think there’ll be other weaknesses in he’ll be at the three or at The Rim but I could I foresee a world where he actually has a really a surprisingly effective year shooting the basketball here’s the one though I think is really possible nuggets have the best defensive rating of the yic era or I should say rank let’s not say rating the best defensive R this could be the best defensive team at Denver on and kcp was a great defender but physically imposing I I and also just if you look at the numbers yoke and Christian Brown on the court together that’s the best defensive rating Denver has had with yoke on there I could foresee a world again where the defense is actually better than it has been this one doesn’t seem like a pipe dream to me it doesn’t um I feel like just in a vacuum kcp I think he’s the better regular season Defender than Christian Brown right now um but I don’t think it’s out of the realm of possibility that Christian Brown grows into a better Defender over the course of the Season uh we just haven’t really seen what he can do in you know 30 minutes a game um I’m excited for that I’m excited to see that he can guard a wider range of players than a kcp he’s a little tall he’s stronger he’s more physical uh he can guard bigger guys like he’s better at guarding and Anthony Edwards for example um kcp screen navigation how well he sticks to guys yeah how he just gets up in guys they’re going to miss that that’s something Christian Brown has to get better at like kcp on Steph Curry kcp I think is one of the better Steph Curry defenders in the league maybe among the best had some really good games against him this year really good a reason why is he’s just so good at stay staying with him navigating through screens not losing his guy off the ball really just pressing up into him that’s I think where Christian Brown’s really going to have to grow but I think he’s got the ability to because I I do view him as an elite Defender yeah I’ll hold off on saying the best defense I think it’s on the table more so than maybe some people might think I don’t want to as much as I think kcp had a rough playoffs I don’t want to go too far I think he it’s not even a knock on him man yeah I know but I just I don’t know if Christian is a defense first player with a high motor so he could fig he could very well figure this out even like right away um I just think what KY the way kcp changed life for that team defensively is hard to replicate specifically the ways that win mentioned um that said one of the things I loved about kcp was the motor like he you would never have guessed that he was the oldest player in the starting lineup oh with how hard he played pick a game pick any day like pick anywhere on the calendar right it could be mid January he’s playing his ass off and that I think Christian can do but I’ll take it further and say Christian has to do that I think Christian has to be the guy that looks like he’s playing twice as hard as the other four guys out there um and and I think he’s capable of that when we sat Courtside shouts to Courtside Dave when he got us those tickets kcp was the number one standout to me because no well also the level of focus man like he really is just like locked in at all time at every second on the court you could see he’s processing what’s happening he getting ready for the next thing like it’s it definitely is hard to replicate that being said I just think Christian Brown pton Watson taking steps up again going from year two to year three that’s a big leap usually it’s usually year two to year three is one of the B bigger leaps so I could foresee them having a big impact and then number three he develops two or three things he does with joic now here’s give me give you a couple of examples offensive rebound he a very good offensive rebounder and now that you become a fifth option in a starting lineup could that become a weapon that all of a sudden Denver’s back to getting offensive rebounds and that’s another part of their offense they lose a little bit in spacing but they gain a little bit in Second Chance points and and that has a trickle down effect could he be great from the corner three and right now he’s not a very good Corner threo percent uh shooter he’s better above the break but can he work on that this off season that’s a shot he’s getting four times a game and so it becomes a little more repetition and then the other one here nuggets have not had a great transition game in the yic era they’ve just never been a fast-paced team they’ve never gotten out he gets out a lot he’s a very good offensive transition player could he be a guy that Denver’s was 17th in Fast Break points uh last year is that a thing where next year Denver’s like fifth or sixth or seventh you if especially if you say you add a Westbrook and you up Elevate some of these young players again you lose a little in spacing but could you gain some in just a new identity you do other things well that make up for the things you’re going to do worse yeah and I think that’s just part of my argument that there needs to be a shift in in how the Nuggets approach the regular season in terms of everything you know lineups rotations but even how they play a little bit yeah um they’ve just been playing the same exact way for these last couple years and look it was great got him a championship 57 wins but I feel like there’s got to be a little bit of a Natural Evolution know maybe play a little faster maybe just mix some things up in terms of the offensive play calling have a little more motion to your offense just start to shift things get some new ideas in the building and just not roll out the same kind of script that you’ve rolled out the last couple years and maybe playing faster part of that also I think yic ball has evolved over the years and and in some ways trunk all the way down to the two-man game I agree I’m hopeful that Christian Brown can bring back a little bit remember the first form of it was Gary Harris just cutting off ball you know what’s funny is Gary Harris early on in his career was not more Dynamic than Christian Brown right that he he built into that and it h it was kind of cool dhos were just they fell asleep on me in the corner cutting behind the defense like that kind of stuff to me I think Christian’s a great cutter it’s a big point of emphasis when he’s on the floor with yic you know maybe the spacing and everything is going to be different but can he bring the cutting back to yic ball because frankly that has really dried up I think over the years I think uh yeah it um I I just don’t think it’s that crazy to talk yourself into Christian Brown in particular forget the the bench pieces are obviously can be chaos but Christian Brown brings things to the team that kcp did not he lacked some of the things that kcp brought to the team so there is some give and take but offensive rebounding is a big thing to me transition play is a big thing to me and I think he might be a guy that can bring those and if he can make his threes in particular from the corner the offense might not take as big of a step back as I think a lot of people are worried about uh the pessimistic part of the season last year was a outlier shooting he actually just really struggles and it affects the way teams guard him I think you start there if he has a year where he shoots 30% from three over the first two months or something like that it’s like okay your shooting guard who can’t shoot you know labeled as that that that that would be really tough well and combine that with the fact that he’s playing a lot of minutes with Aaron Gordon right and now maybe you have two Shooters in the starting lineup that the defense doesn’t respect that’s my biggest fear totally going from kcp to Christian Brown It’s offense ly and in terms of specifically shooting you know like if Christian Brown goes through a really cold spell a really dry spell from three and Aaron Gordon you know he’s never like a 40% guy if he goes through a cold spell as well what’s that going to do to the offense what’s that going to do to the spacing how’s that going to throw the Nuggets off um that’s probably my biggest fear yeah that’s a really good the spacing was my first concern and I do think people are right to point out that championship year shooting was a I don’t want to say outlier but it was a career year like he’s he hasn’t always been a lockdown shooter and maybe Christian Brown’s numbers are better than people think last year but no of course yeah it’s very 31% almost seems more likely than 40 even though he was way Clos he was way close but there is something to it’s also our defense is just okay with it like he ends he does shoot 38 39% but no one cares like you get to the playoffs and teams are like yeah take it man like it’s that’s another thing yeah so how how you shoot and how defenses guard you are two different conversations and and as brilliant as yic is you do want to optim SP optimize spacing around him so that’s the concern another one for me is why I don’t think that this is one of kyp’s headliner strengths there was a little bit of secondary ball handling in the bag and I don’t I don’t I don’t think Christian has that per se and I do think that this team as it stands has a stunning lack of ball handling outside of the point guard position yeah that can definitely be a part of it too the offense just getting even more stagnant because there’s fewer guy like we all remember when Tory Craig was on the lineup and yoke would turn his body and see him no thanks and be like well I guess I got to go back to the same guy again so that I don’t think we’ll get there with Christian I that with Christian he’s not as he’s he’s a better he’s a better player than Tori offensively man yeah but not but not he needs to have a good out of the box you know he needs to have a good first month to build the confidence would actually I’m in it there is a that goes this why I say he needs to devel one or two things he does with yoke cuz yoke needs to be able to turn and see him and say okay oh we’re going to go to one of these two things inverted pick and roll could be it you know y something of that nature yeah I could see him in yoke having a good dho game like Gary Harris had in like 2016 2017 with him so simplified man gets the ball in the DHL going to his right hand Christian’s strong and where he should be able to overpower a lot of his matchups right to the rim remember how good Gary was at just putting it at his hand and going up like he had those big hands that’d be great to see something like that um and then the last thing I have for the pessimistic side here Malone not having faith in him honestly so your coach believing you is is a huge part of this I honestly think it’s one of the things that he struggled with early on in this season it was confidence and I think a lot of that confidence was does my team and my coach want me taking these shots or they like every time you shoot them they’re like oh and I think he was feeling that a little bit whether it was you know intentional or not and this year you move into the starting lineup and you have a bad first three or four games is the is is that pressure do you feel the eyeballs of the coach on you that’s one thing I could see happening or yanking around his minutes like all right you’re the first sub out no I forgot to get you back in so you just didn’t play very much today yeah I think that’s one area where like Christian Brown and and one reason reason why his season got off to a bad start last year is because his role was kind of in flux yeah they wanted him it seemed like to be more this scorer at the very beginning of the year didn’t seem like he was too confident there and then his minutes got kind of yanked around his playing time was fluctuating and then second half of the Season he got back to like being the Bulldog Defender and dialing back his offensive game and that’s really where he started to shine again it actually gives me confidence heading into next year like I hope the nuggets at training camp I hope Michael Malone comes out and says Christian Browns are starting shooting guard I hope he gives him that confidence right out of the gate this is his job he’s got it he’s earned it and we’re going to let him run with it I hope there’s no indecision there I hope there’s no position battle there yeah um and I hope that gives Christian some confidence like okay this is my role this is how much I’m going to play this is what’s being asked to me in the starting five and I think that can be a good thing for him and if you have Russell Westbrook that’s an easy guy to steal minutes right like that’s a I want any if they do get Russell Westbrook I don’t want any conversation about is Russell Westbrook the starting shooting guard I don’t want any of that that’s what I was going to say doesn’t even have to be with the starter it could just be like you get into it and all of a sudden Westbrook’s playing 29 minutes a game and Christian Brown’s at 16 if it helps it’ll be in place of Mike so it does help uh it actually didn’t help let’s get to some super chats here before we get out the door ulyses Ventura bring cousins back I think that ship is sailed brother how about uh I love it astray I think there is a legit Dwight Howard that’s that’s what I is yeah he’s photoshopping himself everywhere aray I think there is a legit chance if we fire Malone we upset yic how badly I’m unsure of but I don’t think Malone’s firing is a convo to be having I think people think the players love Malone a little bit more than they actually that’s just me yeah uh going to keep that one for a minute finlin finlin is it Stein Orin fellow Ser Tristan V uh Tristan V vich for Center that the the K in there throws me off I don’t think he’s an option but he’s he’s flashed okay and we’ll close with Jay oh beautiful sentimental note enjoy a coffee wind or add to the Night Nurse pipe dream fund thanks for all the content on no sleep thank you appreciate that one all right everybody that does it for today I am begging the Nuggets to make some moves so we no longer have to keep speculating about some of the stuff I’m hopeful I I don’t want to go back to the free agent center list tomorrow just just there’s no list I don’t want to I don’t want to go back to it again much of a list left we might not even talk basketball tomorrow if nothing happens who knows all right that does it for the show thanks all the say goes that hung around hit that like button on the way out see you tomorrow we all sting like the May

  1. How does Wind not know that Trent Jr is a great defender? He was one of the leaders in steals plus his 1v1 defense is great by itself

  2. For Wind: I was recently up to 1,500 mg of caffeine/day with two young kids, and now I’m down to almost zero (I’ll have a coke or something when I’m out to dinner).

It was not ok, and now I feel SO much better and more alert now without the extreme caffeine, even with a 4-year-old and 1-year-old.

Those Ventis serve a purpose for now, but return to regular Wind once you get through this period! 😂

  3. The nuggets currently have the best player in the world. The moment of this player will not happen again in our life time. The team is insulting the very nature of their fans but not doing absolutely everything they can to get back to the championship. What the hell is Calvin Booth doing???

  4. When it was TC, Josh, and Malone… it seemed like they all had the same vision. This season if feels like Josh has stepped away a bit and Malone and Booth don't see things at all alike.

  5. This long term plan is bs really . Jokic has 3/4 more years at the top . It’s a win now situation . Denever was lucky that a player like that fell in their lap . A generational talent , and the Owners are screwing up his prime years .

  6. These guys talking about being a 4 ir 5 seeds. You can count in ine hand the number of 4 seed or lower who win titles. I understand possibly not going hard for 1 seed. But if we arent top 3 our chances to win title are slim.

  7. There’s like a 0% chance we get Gary Trent Jr. – he is coming off $18m/year and just averaged 14 a game shooting 40% from three. We can’t pay anything more than like $5m/year because of the Nnaji contract. Booth. Consult me before you do these dumbass contracts. We all knew that was a vast overpay. Nobody else was bidding

  8. Aaa poor Harrison, she is on revered schedule… it will reverse it self slowly. Lots of light during the day and total darkness at night even if she's wide awake.
    Good luck!!

  9. How careful we are with the words hehe… ridiculous… ahh, ughh, i, ahhh, i think, gulp, you know…

  10. In my opinion, the biggest problem is that there seems to be a disconnect between Michael Malone and Kelvin Booth. The young players are never going to fulfill Booth's vision if Michael Malone doesn't play them during the regular season to get them going and Michael Malone, who wants the veterans, he's just wearing them out playing them too much during the regular season.

  11. Christian Braun gives way more effort than Kcp wtf lmao dude plays super hard what is this guy talkin about CAPABLE of replicating? Braun plays with energy all the time. There has been times when he has literally been the one on the court tellin others to ramp it up lol smh

  12. I think Jokic should tell Booth I also have a vision of a team future and I want this and this and that change or Im out ! F… Booth VISION like who is he to have a vision at all ? He should ask Jokic what vision should team have !!!

  13. Last season was the first that CB didn't reach a championship. Let's see how ol boy responds!

He knows what to work on, hopefully he's out there putting in work.

  14. Thing is – we were saying this for a long while now. Years.
Unfortunately – we were a minority. The "Enlightened" and "Positive" nuggets eco-system (comfortable with mediocrity forever) told us to shut up, "don't be negative", ridiculed and banned most/all.

Maybe because Serbs (Jokic fans) are NOT comfortable with mediocrity and are USED TO WINNING. And they KNOW basketball. Competition even more.

Alas, this is the outcome. THIS IS IT.
TBF – Jokic was just a super-lucky shot – TC won the lottery (it happens). He had no clue what Jokic can and will be (hence the first years). Cheap, long-shot bet that turned out big unintentionally. But that's all Nuggets are used doing… long-shot, cheap bets (spinal problems, attitude problems, foot problems… things that ended up on a discount rack bc damaged or about to expire) – I won't name names – you can figure it out yourselves.

And since then – Jokic was carrying this shithole, making average players look like "stars" (murray, mpj, ag, barton, monte, garris, Plumlee, etc etc etc) and same goes for the coach.

TC set the targets on BB and KCP – and that was the ONLY good move in the past decade.

One thing that especially irks me is the CBA excuse.
It's like Silver thought of it one night and surprised everyone (competent GMs and generous Owners) with it.
It didnt quite happen like that. The CBA was re-negotiated and drafted BECAUSE those same GM's and Owners DEMANDED IT.
Mostly from the franchises like Nuggets (because "we're not GSW").
It was in the works for 2+ years. GMs and Owners fully involved and PUSHING FOR IT. New CBA, they thought, will help them bridge the gap between "big" and "small" market franchises. And help them make MORE MONEY.

    Above is 100% true. Period.
So, it wasn't a surprise (meaning you could've prepare yourself for it) AND – most of it is YOUR (nugets and nuggets-like franchises) DOING.

    Funny, huh!?

    Yeah.

I'm not gonna even comment on Kroenke-Boot-Malone statements, actions and dynamics. Its unprofessional and completely embarrassing.
Not gonna comment on Murray (lets be Honest – he's bottom 10 guard in the league without Jokic) or on the others.

I'm just gonna say – Jokic did not deserve this insult and humiliation (to be put in a situation to beg for likes of Russ and Saric) – and this has been a pattern (remember the "starter in this league"?) since he got here.
He SHOULD LEAVE AND LEAVE RIGHT NOW.

He's a good man and doesn't deserve this.

  15. A big yes to Alec Burks, Markelle Fultz, Trayce Jackson-Davis, Saddiq Bey, Miles Bridges, Jae Crowder, Oscar Tshiebwe, Stanley Umude, Doug McDermott, Kai Jones, Cedi Osman, Cameron Payne, Luka Samanic, Jordan Usher, and Daniel Theis. Theis, Jackson-Davis, Crowder, Jones, Osman, or Tshiebwe to backup Jokic and provide defense. Fultz and Payne are quality backups for Murray. Burks, McDermott, Usher, Umude, Bey, and Samanic can provide buckets when MPJ is having an off night. Miles Bridges is a no brainer. Thanks for posting.
