I was going through my camera roll and just saw a picture from when I met Dominique Wilkins shortly after I meth him while taking a piss in the bathroom. (Pic was taken after lol)
Way back when I was 14 (2014-2015 season), my mom got me some awesome tickets for a hawks game the day after christmas. This was my first and only time sitting on the floor. I was psyched. Before the game, I went to the bathroom, which was located in one of the tunnels. Just after I walked in to take a piss, the biggest guy I’d ever seen walked a few stalls down from me. While we are both taking a leak, I was jaw dropped staring at this dude the whole time, because I realized it’s Dominique f*cking Wilkins.
He quickly notices me staring at him and says with a smile “whats up big man?”. At this point I’m acting like a total dumbass. “Are you Dominique Wilkins? Can I get a picture with you?” He bursts out belly laughing and says “when I’m done using the bathroom!”. I remember going to the sink and taking forever to wash my hands, just hoping I could have some small talk. He comes up telling me to where to meet him outside to get our picture and says something like “I’m going to the lounge to get a drink/food. You want me to grab you a snack?” I can’t remember what I said. He eventually met me outside the tunnel and my mom took our pic together. He told her how this gave him a good laugh for the day. Then he went off to announce the game a few minutes later.
I know I could have made that shorter, but just a memory I love. He’s such a kind person.

Even whilst yearning for FA/trade/offseason news, this is good content. Nique and Bob are treasures that transcend whatever ongoing storylines the Hawks find themselves in.
That is awesome. Funny how so many of the notable Nique moments involve him with some food.
