[Weinbach] “The Bucks and free agent guard Gary Trent Jr. could have mutual interest. The 25-year-old wing, a former teammate of Damian Lillard, would have the chance to compete for a title in a starting role with Milwaukee. Although, Trent Jr. would also have to take a substantial pay cut.”

  1. This guy doesn’t have sources.

He’s just a random guy on the internet.

Isn’t this the guy that tried to fight Brook or was that another raptors guy

  3. He seems to give us buckets quite often. I’m on board.

SignIng GTJ and KJ Martin would be great. They’re both only 25 and 23 y/o, are looking like vet min options, and would be good rotation players.

Trent would basically fill the Beasley role with slightly better defense and Martin is a decent 3 and D wing/forwardz

  5. I’ve wanted this dude on the bucks since his rookie season

Pipe dream, but guard rotation would be strong.

“Could have” = no proof or reporting of actual interest. This Weinbach even admits a “substantial” paycut is needed, pointing out his own absurdity 🤣

Yea outside of that “report” there’s very little smoke around Trent to Milwaukee. If you Google Trent, there’s some articles out there about how there’s people doubting whether or not Trent will even get offered the full mid level exception, but that’s a pretty far cry from taking a vet minimum dela though too. Still a pretty good chance he gets significantly more than a vet min as a partial MLE somewhere.

0 chance. He’d need to be on a vet minimum right? This ain’t a Beas situation, Trent could get $15 million a year at least
