Bronny talks his first Lakers Press Conference and Jersey Introduction

guys so uh bronnie we just got through your press conference and and really interesting to hear your perspective and your thoughts on all this I want to go back to that moment though and and we just saw the video right of you sitting kind of waiting for the call what what is the the whole day like just the thinking about what might happen and then to have it result in this way where here you are sitting with us um you know I just Tred to stay as calm as possible um knowing my dream is going to come through I know all the emotions were going to come in as soon as my name was called if it was um but yeah I just was trying not to think about you know everything that was going on around you know me getting drafted or not um so yeah I was just you know taking it taking it slow taking it slow and and and you know absorbing everything in you know you’ve been playing with the the best players in your age group for a long time right and a couple of those guys are going to be in the NBA now uh what have you learned about your game and and kind of as you progressed step by step to the point where now you’re all right here you are NBA player yeah um you know my whole life I’ve been playing up basically in my whole life I’ve been playing a grade um older and I feel like that’s that’s that’s built me into something that um you know is tougher than my age group or you know can defend the the ball um better than some of other people um but yeah just just you know experiencing that that that toughness of older people I feel like that’s buil me into something that’s ready you know we talked to Rob on the day that you were drafted and he was going back to the Lakers winning the inseason tournament and then you know LeBron rushing back back to get there for your first game those months in between how difficult was that to just to try to find your game again when you hadn’t been on the court and to be able to get back and and show that you were did what you could do um you know it was tough uh it was tough um you know not going in there as a most top recruited player in the country I wasn’t you know implemented right away into the into the offense and stuff like that so I had to um you know take it day by day and and watch film and you know put in the extra work um to you know find myself again and I feel like that’s um you know why I am where I am today yeah so I guess in that sense when watching some of those USC games right you’re just trying to get back onto the court and everybody’s judging as if it’s the same player that they would have had that that that whole time do you see there being some real upside there remaining now is you think okay now you’re going to have a full season offseason to train and to get ready for the NBA season yeah for sure um you know that this summer I’ve you know tried to focus on preparing myself um for wherever I was you know going to end up um but yeah I feel like I wasn’t you know given a a fair you know judgment especially cuz I had that that incident um yeah I’ve I’ve I’ve been working you know day and day out and I feel like I you know built myself into something that is you know ready to go yeah I don’t know how much you got a chance to talk to Dalton but just kind of coming in with a that’s your rookie class right you’re the two guys for the Lakers what do you know about him his game and kind of how do you see yourself being playing alongside him uh just met him um maybe an hour ago but you know he’s a cool dude seems like a cool dude but I you know watched his his college games and he you know seems like a really good player of excited to play next him I’m sure you’ll get enough questions about your dad but thinking about Anthony Davis just like a big man like that you’ve seen a lot of his game and what he’s like what what can that do for you just to seeing the how he does on both ends of the Court um just insane you know Legend um you know just being able to you know take some of the pressure off me um pick and roll stuff like that pin Downs um yeah just his presence is is is you know what’s important to someone’s offense and I feel like that’s a you know a big jump for me especially in in big big wise yeah all right last one for you bronnie and we appreciate your time so summer league is coming up right it starts the kind of the pre-summer league up in Golden State uh what are you looking to do or just get it KN on the floor what are the things that you want to showcase and and do by yourself um you know just showcasing I’ve you know been putting into work for this whole summer um you know it’s just a lot that I’ve been doing you know getting up early mornings um but yeah just going out and being aggressive and being myself and showcasing what I W you know was doing before my incident and you know proving myself to people the daughters all right well congratulations once again we appreciate your time appreciate it yes sir

  1. Cmon now, nepotism at its finest. If he wasn’t Lebrons son he wouldn’t even be drafted😂

  2. LeBron sent a letter to the NBA Commissioner stating that Bronny should be named ROY prior the the season starting or he(LeBron) may sit out the season and boycott!

  3. you know what if lebron just said my one wish is to play with my kid before i retire people would have accepted that but that kid isn't even good enough to play in the WNBA

  4. His Stats kinda shaky… It is absolutely trahhsht. But I mean we have seen Ben simmons. So hope is there.

  5. Like seriously.. have anyone ever seen stats held up for THIS long? Wonder what was the point behind that?

  6. i wasnt going to be a hater, he looks like a good kid, but as soon as he started saying bs like "USC didn't give me opportunities" then nah, imma be your hater boy. They let you play all the time even with your trash stats and you're just in the NBA because of daddy lebaby.

  7. Poor kid. So much pressure from his dad and from LBJ's fans. I hope there will be no hate for him of just playing what he can only do. Clearly he's not that ready for NBA and was just hyped by his Dad and fans.

  8. He got in on the strength of his dad but he knows he has to put in work and make a name for himself. .

  9. The mf is big he has the frame. He fenna bully a lot of guards going to the rim in a couple of yrs. He going to be good real good. Y'll trippen. This kid going to be alright he just got to want it.

  10. Stop saying um in between your sentence elaborate your vocabulary lil bro u big u got two ears n one mouth for a reason listen more

  11. Spoiling your son destroys your son! This is the worst thing that self-centered, Mr. LeGoat NeverBe could have done for his son. When he retires in 2 years guess who won't be picked up by any team in the League: Bronny! And this will be the biggest stain on his historic NBA career, I'll give him that. He is the NBA's all-time leading scorer. But that's it. He's simply better than Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in "Points Only".
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar won 6 NBA titles, 6 MVPs, and made 15 All-NBA teams. This is the one thing people will talk about regarding his legacy, that he imposed his will on the Lakers organization by drafting his Brick House shooting scrub son!Shame! Shame! Shame!

  12. First assist, first lob, first high five, first but slap, first chest bump, first huddle, first screen. And the list goes on, that’s all LeDiva is worried about. 🙄

  13. I honestly don’t get the fuzz about “history playing with his dad”. I mean, it’s not like he is also a generational talent coming out of HS like Lebron was 😅
