Golden State Warriors TRADING For Lauri Markkanen After Klay Thompson Departure? Warriors Rumors

currently right now I don’t think the Golden State Warriors have a plan that can change very quickly though and according to reports that dubs could have interest in a l marinan trade so if you want lry marinan on the Warriors really good player in that front Court three level score he would make Golden State a lot more interesting and competitive and talented then I want you to hit that thumbs up icon like the video and with that let’s talk about this here on Warriors today [Music] aari market and trade that is the subject on the docket for today’s Golden State Warriors today by chat sports I’m Chase senior Golden State San Antonio Spurs have expressed interest in a Lori market and trade who could be available by way of a trade with the Utah Jazz and this report comes from Brian windhorse to vbn and here’s what he had to say about this Warriors trade Buzz here there’s still still trying some other stuff I think Lori marinan from the jazz is available on the trade market they’re definitely investigating that whether or not they can make that work or not is to be seen look Mike dun leevy Jr needs to make a move after getting nothing in return for Klay Thompson and Chris Paul Klay Thompson five-time Allstar franchise great four-time NBA champion one of the best two-way players in the history history of basketball sign in trade we’ll take a couple of second round picks CP3 older player damn near 40 years old let’s trade Away Jordan p and then release Chris Paul and get nothing back the gold State Warriors used to be a well-run organization that was smart Innovative forward thinking that would pull off these Splash moves and because of that they were consistently competitive making it to five straight NBA finals and now we’re Far Cry from the dynastic era of the Golden State Warriors with Mike Dunley in charge they seem poorly run when they used to have a plan they no longer have a plan how do you lose Klay Thompson and Chris Paul and get nothing back and now with Steph Curry being 36 years old still playing Elite basketball you have a roster that is in question you have a roster that in a loaded Western Conference has no chance of competing but the Warriors can change that if they trade for lari Markin and and it’s up to Mike dun leie Jr to make that happen because if I’m Steph Curry and I’m looking at this team right now and I have a few prime years left I might ask for a trade I’m not even kidding why would I want to continue to play for Golden State when I’m playing at a championship level but the organization isn’t operating at a championship level did Bob Meyers see what was to come in the future and that’s why he said I’m out of here too many difficult decisions to make got to pay Draymond might have to pay clay it’s too tough for me to Bear let me go into sports media here Mike Dunley didn’t walk into an easy role but I don’t think he’s executed that role very well since taking over for Bob Meyers we’ll see what happens with Brandon pjesky and Trace Jackson Davis but this Warriors organization has no Direction right now and I need people in the Bay Area who cover this team to start saying that because the Warriors have to start taking some accountability here not many other options aside from lri marinan that could make golden state a legit playoff team which is why I’m putting my eggs in that basket other players that you could go after other players who the Warriors have been linked to Brandon Ingram Zack LaVine I like him I don’t love him I would nearly love lri marinin because he helps you in the front Court he’s a really good player he’s very affordable would be on an expiring deal you’d have to give up some good draft capital and maybe a Jonathan kaminga but you’re banking on Jonathan kaminga taking that next step and right now he’s your number two too risky apparently a Zack LaVine trade did fall through we’ll see if the Warriors revisit that I think Zack is a player who is a solid Wing scorer has never played on a winning team can’t play a li a defense and the Warriors turned out a trade for Zack LaVine here’s the thing about LaVine I think he would make the Warriors better and it would have been involving a Chris Paul trade instead you got nothing back for him how does that make any sense here’s what Chris Haynes at TNT had to say I was told the Chicago Bulls were trying to get something going for the Golden State Warriors or with the Golden State Warriors trying to get a Zack LaVine package together what I was told was it could have been a Zack LaVine for a Chris Paul or Andrew Wiggins the Warriors from how it was explained to me they didn’t feel that was an adequate amount for a deal structure so things didn’t go as planned so that fell through which led to the Golden State Warriors choosing to release Chris Paul so you release Chris Paul you get nothing in return and then you turned out a trade for Zack LaVine if that’s your thinking if that’s your plan okay he but what is the backup plan the Warriors don’t have one as for Brandon Ingram the Sacramento Kings look to be the team in on him and you have Sacramento right down the road from Golden State improving young team ascending exciting Golden State in this weird spot right now where there isn’t a lot of excitement around the dubs and it’s a far cry from where they were during that dynastic run be honest with me should the Warriors do what it takes to get lri marinin give me a y for yes or an N for no let’s hear from dub Nation Down Below in the comments section for those of you not familiar with Lori maran’s game good player seven-footer career numbers from three 375% solid Defender not great was an All-Star in 2023 most improved player in 2023 as well Utah reluctant to trade him as they pursued a CO coar as they were trying to trade for Mel Bridges but now that they didn’t land that co-star next to lri marinin could they reset start over and trade him away numbers the last two years they’ve been damn good 25 and a half points per game two years ago alongside eight and a half rebounds almost 50% from the deck 39% from three on nearly 8 threo attempts per night and then this past year 23 points per game eight rebounds 48% almost 40% from three on eight three-point attempts per evening very very efficient numbers for a seven-footer he’s also been a very durable player too he has played 65 plus games or no he he’s not a durable player excuse me because he’s only played 65 plus games once going back to 2017 so those are certainly some concerns he still is a younger player though but any big that is off injured that’s of course a little bit of a concern but he’s affordable right unrestricted free agent in 2025 five so if you give up a boatload for him and he walks or he gets hurt there is risk involved but in high leverage business there’s always risk $18 million though in 2024 2025 for a player who puts up those numbers it’s pretty good his Advanced shooting numbers also very solid catch and shoot three-point percentage 41.8% Corner three 43% above the break three-point numbers 39% threo attempt percentage rate 49.3% and then the true shooting percentage at 63.1% so this is a player who can get Buckets in the Warriors right now outside of Steph Curry need proven bucket Getters if you don’t want to disrespect Steph in the final years of his career you go get Lori marinan who helps you now and in the future because he is still a young player as for what it could cost and some trade ideas you came to the right place and I’m glad that you continue to hang around because we have some market and trade ideas to get to there’s a kaminga factor here of course I know my boy K Jackson in the comments section he’s down to trade kaminga if it means the Warriors can improve the squad gold state was unwilling to include kaminga for Paul George other teams will have strong offers so Jonathan kaminga must go if you want Lori marinin here’s what Ramona shelburn had to say about the Warriors offer for PG the Warriors offered multiple combinations of expiring contracts young players and an unprotected 2027 first round pick the Clippers countered by asking for prized youngster Jonathan kaminga the Warriors resisted because kaminga is so important to their own future but also because they worried George wouldn’t be as interested in joining him uh them if they gave up too much to get him here’s the thing if you want to land kaminga I get why the Warriors want him I get why they’re bullish on him he certainly has a lot of potential but at what point are we going to stop talking about potential and talk about this you got to prove it to me it’s going to take more than kaminga though to land a player like Markin and think about it from the Jazz’s perspective they’re going to trade away an All-Star they couldn’t get a co-star that means that they’re going to reset next few years could be rough they want a young player who you can build around and that young player on this Warriors team right now is Jonathan kaminga so here’s trade idea number one it’s a three- teamer dubs get Lori marinan DeAndre Hunter Clint capella the Jazz Larry n Jr Jonathan kaminga Moses Moody 2027 second and first and then three first round pick swaps the Hawks receive as part of salary dumping Andrew Wiggins cavon Looney and you part ways with Trace Jackson Davis you did draft Clinton post a 2026 and 2028 second rounder and then a first from Minnesota in 2028 trade idea number two much easier dubs get Lori marinan the Jazz get Jonathan kaminga and Andrew Wiggins two first round picks and then two first round pick swaps I get it it’s a risky proposition but do you want to take advantage of Steph Curry being in his prime still and the remaining years of that contract that’s a thought which deal would you accept one for trade idea number one two for trade idea numero dose we just popped them back up for you so you can look at that join the conversation down in the comment section right now Golden State Warriors today absolutely humming right now don’t forget to hit that sub button we appreciate 1. Brandon Ingram or Markkanen would be great addition in place of Wiggins and or Draymond. You don't trade Kuminga (a future star). Dumleavy should've jumped on the Zack Levin for Wiggins trade offer. Levin may not be a good defender, but offensively he can carry a team when needed.

  2. I like the 1st trade idea. Warriors got taller and deeper bench. Two 7-footers that can stretch the floor for Green and Hunter to slash on.

    C – Quinten Post (2-way stretch 5)

    PF – Lauri Markkanen

    SF – Draymond Green

    SG – De'Andre Hunter

    PG – Steph Curry

    2nd lineup

    C – Clint Capela

    PF – Kyle Anderson

    SF – Lindy Waters III

    SG – De'Anthony Melton

    PG – Brandin Podziemski

  3. Yes, Lauri is a desirable addition, and I would very much love to see it happen, but without sacrificing the future of the team.

When an organisation is consistently involves in trade rumours, especially with promising players like JK, MM, BP and TJD, your players will most likely to abandon this organisation asap when chances come.

This GSW is no longer the team that can shock the world with their own developed players. It seems that they've already deviated from that direction.

Losing CP3 is quite crucial since he had already proven he can be the glue to a lot of things.

And the leave of Klay is yet another example of player in exhaustion of loyalty to the organisation.

With this frequent trade talks, I can simply predict that without over-paying, JK and MM may definitely be gone on their own choices once their contracts come to an end.

  4. It is quite disingenuous of this channel to continue to comment about the moves thus far, without addressing the fact that the new tax apron restrictions are completely changing how teams have to do business in the NBA. Getting the Chris Paul contract last year, was for the exact purpose that it was used in this moment. Have it as a potential chip to use in a trade, and if no one wants to cooperate (i.e.: the Clippers, who are dealing with their own salary issues), then let him walk and get that 30 million off the books.
Taking on the LaVine contract would be a disaster. Too many years, for too much money.

  5. The Warriors don't have a plan? What??? Based on what lol. Please have legit sources and please do research, otherwise you're just a fan with a microphone.

The Warriors NEEDED to get under the 2nd apron; it prevented them from many team building tools like: mid level exception, sign-and-trades of their own players, taking on salary in a trade, aggregating outgoing salaries to balance incoming salaries in a trade, buying a 2nd round pick with cash.

The Warriors trading away Poole was a huge W. Poole's VORP was THIRD WORST in the entire NBA in '23 (-1.2 per Basketball Reference). For 27.45 million.

Chris Paul provided invaluable mentorship to Kuminga, Pods, and all the young players. It would have been nice to keep him, but not at that price, and not if it meant the W's were in the 2nd Apron.

Old Klay was a killer, but his past 2 post seasons have shown that he is definitely not the same guy.

Look Forward, there are moves to be made. But they can only be made if the W's aren't in the 2nd apron

  6. I think the front office is sht but at the same time teams are salty that the warriors dominated the league. I don’t know why they aren’t like that with other champions. These rules were all geared to stop the warriors from winning. It’s crazy.

  7. Podz and Moody gotta go. Moody has earned more playing time and it would be a shame to develop him him and not reap the rewards at this point but it need to be done. We can get another guard, guards are everywhere. Kuminga is special that’s why he can’t be traded. Yes we are past potential but that’s on Steve Kerr…Kuminga is a dog.

  8. I don’t get the calling out lol . Did you expect the warriors to be great forever? The 2nd apron is destroying teams that want to win and spend big. Lacob is trying to cut costs so they can be competitive going forward and people are blaming Dunleavy, I don’t get it. The 2nd apron caused the warriors to lose poole for nothing. I’d be mad at the nba for making those rules up. Curry can’t cry about the roster now when he has that contract and then requested to sign dray back . I’d blame myers for the mess they’re in. The guy missed on draft pick after draft pick. Dunleavy is just here for the rebuild
