    Bezos would be such a drag to me. Having no connection to the city it’s just a “watch line go up” billionaire toy

    I’d love this because he has the deep pockets to where he actually wouldn’t be able to complain about the tax. I don’t think he’s selling stock to buy the team though

    $5b would make sense if all the owners were selling. Wyc probably has a relatively small part of the team.

    Amazon has 1.6B employees.

    All he has to do is wage theft a half hour from each employee on average, and assuming they’re all getting minimum wage, he just made another $5.8B.

    My math’s right, the logic is a little back and forth, but either way fuck him and the rest of the billionaires.

    (And fuck the Cape Cod Cake Eaters that are going to come on here and cry about their billionaire buddy)

    They have 1.6M not billion, big difference. Still they don’t need to do much on average to retain a B or close to it via wage theft.

    The best-case scenario is Bezos buys the Celtics and pays for a roster that wins 4 out of the next 5 championships but the caveat is the new Celtics arena will be shaped like a massive dick.

    Would love his DEEEEEEP pockets, though. Paying close to $500m in salaries in the near future would be a drop in the bucket for him.

    Bezos as sports owner would be interesting. His whole thing with Amazon and consumer oriented businesses is always about appeasing the customer. So in this case he would definitely try to appease the Celtic fandom to the maximum
