Lakers Trade For Both Jerami Grant & Robert Williams?

Lakers Trade For Both Jerami Grant & Robert Williams?

what’s going on everyone so we have entered day four of free agency and so far still waiting around for dear rosan looks like he’s more likely they not going to go to the highest bidder uh the Miami Heat are a team that is trying to acquire demard rosan as well uh we’ll see see how it plays out I still lean towards DeMar rosen going to the Lakers supposedly he wants 25 million a year I don’t think he’s worth that right if demard de rosan was the like missing piece if we were like a p away and it was like man if we had DeMar rosen we’re that’s it we’re a contender then sure but my problem is is that we need more than just dear we need dear and then you know several other players one of which we’re going to talk about here in a moment but hopefully the Lakers get Demar Rosen and that’s the first Domino to fall and then we can kind of shift Focus uh even though focus is already kind of shifted on the Portland Trailblazers So based on reports the Lakers have touched base with the Portland Trailblazers uh several times right that they’ve had constant communication are really trying to work out a way to get Jeremy Grant they want two firsts for Jeremy Grant which I’m not uh super on right if you want like a first and a pick Swap sure maybe but if you have to give up two first outright for Jeremy Grant I’m I like I like Jeremy Grant I think if you add him and dearo rzan now we’re back into the conversation but my issue is is that he’s overpaid he’s not worth a I mean Portland didn’t even give up Portland got gave up I think a first to get him right like it’s just again I I I understand in the market you’re asking for the highest price right everyone sets it’s sales right like you want you know $50 for an item you’re not going to say oh give me $50 you going just say I want $100 and then you know cuz maybe somebody will go okay well I’ll give you 75 but then you kind of work it down you go back and forth and you kind of meet in the middle at 50 and you’re like yes I got what I wanted that’s what my hope is here with Jeremy Grant now the Blazers supposedly want to move off of him sooner rather than later and if that is the case then I do think a deal for him gets done sooner rather than later uh they’re probably I imagine waiting around to kind of see is anyone else going to pop up you know is there going to be another Suitor for Jeremy Grant you know some of these teams are are trying to make some up grades and stuff you look at Team like you know Denver right they’re they lost kcp do they like try to work something out you never know you never know what’s on the horizon so the Blazers I’m sure are not in a hurry not in a rush to trade Jeremy Grant us Laker fans were kind of like can we get this over with can we do this now rather than you know procrastinating waiting it on as long as you end up with the guy I don’t really care I like Jeremy Grant again but my biggest concern is his his commitment to winning he has said numerous times that he loves being in Portland and likes the position he’s in and you’ll look at kind of the history of the guy he is a guy that has always beged question of his commitment he is a guy that at times can just look laxidasical out there like he doesn’t even want to be out there on the basketball court or he’s not like really engaged in locked in constantly and if we get Jeremy Grant and DeMar rosen I mean it it’s we’re trying to win here right like and we can’t have guy and Jeremy Grant just deciding I’m going to take time off also the Lakers tried to trade for Jeremy Grant back in Detroit I mean they’ve tried to trade for Jeremy Grant for years I mean he’s been in conversations with the Lakers for years and Jeremy Grant had his chance to be the a Laker and it probably would have gotten done and he would have been a Laker until he basically said he didn’t want to be basically he said I don’t want to you know be a third guy right now you you take that you take the comments that he’s talked about with Portland and you look at him he gets to take 20 shots a game and get paid 30 million and do whatever he wants is he going to be 100% committed if he comes on over to the Lakers now this was also years ago right people mature they grow older they they you know kind of change their perspective so my hope is that that’s the case my hope is that Jeremy Grant is excited about being a Laker and does go okay like this is my best opportunity to win a championship we got me we got you know LeBron James Anthony Davis you know we land Demar rzan man we got demaro Rosen Austin Reeves like let’s go let’s go try to win this chip is is my hope when it comes to him but another thing is too is like if we’re going to have to give up a bunch of picks and a bunch of assets and stuff you you got to get uh Robert Williams right you got to go get Time Lord I just obviously there’s concerns about him because of his injury history Portland I don’t like what are they going to get for him right like who’s giving up a first to go get him when the guy can’t play 20 games and you can’t start him and you know he’s more likely than not just never going to be more than a backup because of those concerns to me I wouldn’t want to go and trade for Grant Williams straight up right I wouldn’t want to go or sorry Robert Williams um I wouldn’t want to go for Robert Williams straight up if like we had to give up assets but if he’s kind of a tack on right if he’s a guy that’s like oh we’re we’re getting Jeremy Grant and you know they want two firsts fine but we want Grant Williams also because he would be per because if he’s healthy he’s great right rebounding blocking shots him alongside Anthony Davis would just be tough and look Portland they have uh you know they got Klean and then they got Aon so they don’t have any so so like where are they going to play Robert Williams I I just I don’t know where he fits in to their their schemes as far as rotation so to me it’s like you’re not losing anything and for the Lakers he gives them a little real lowrisk high reward type pickup you’re not asking for him to play a huge significant role you’re asking him to just basically come in and play 15 minutes a game so if you keep his minutes down and you keep his workload light uh I think it’s very possible that he could stick around and and be healthier I don’t still the questions of how healthy but if he can kind of stick around and be healthier um I think he’d be a very valuable piece and now you got kind of your backup know maybe keep Jackson Hayes in case Robert Williams Miss some time so that way you at least have Haze as your backup or you know if you unload Hayes bring in Colin Castleton and let him kind of be your third guy and then you have Anthony Davis Robert Williams Robert Williams could easily slot in in a pinch like if Anthony Davis misses a game right okay well Robert Williams just steps up he comes in or uh Lebron misses a game boom you slide ad over to the four Robert Williams comes in at the five to me it’s just it would kind of justify giving up what you had to give up right cuz it’s like oh we didn’t just just get Grant Williams we also got Rob or we didn’t just get Grant uh Jeremy Grant we also got Robert Williams right so to me it’s like now you got that and then you go get demard Rosen it now you’re like okay wait a minute we got something here right it’s like now we we we’re in business right because now you got demaro Rosen you which is gives you a scorer and just a closer and all the things that the Lakers really need as just a bucket getter you got uh Jeremy Grant as your three and D guy that could put the ball on the deck go get you 20 on any given night you got your backup center and Robert Williams who can come in and again rebound block shots defend do multiple things out there on the basketball court give you some energy and there’s no question about his commitment when he’s on the court it’s just him getting and staying on the court right and then at that point know you probably still have your mid-level exception so can you use your mid-level exception to go get you know go get like a tyus Jones or something I still would love to get um miles Bridges if possible but even if you can’t get miles Bridges right like go get um go get like a tius Jones because you probably need a point guard right especially because you’re unloading DLo so to me if you could essentially turn you know some combination of like ruy uh d’angel Russell and maybe like Jared vanderbelt or something into into these guys right because I mean uh Jeremy Grant Jeremy Grant’s making just a hair under 30 million and then Robert Williams he’s making uh like 12 a half million so you’re talking let’s say 30 you’re you’re talking 42 million 42 A5 million that you need to get to so you’re looking you know maybe you use DLo to go get um you know demaro R Roan right or ruy one of those two is probably going to Chicago if you’re going to do a sign and trade for uh Demar de rosan so essentially to Portland you’re probably looking at something like you know Jared vanderbelt which I’d like to keep Jared vanderbelt but if you get Jeremy Grant okay I think you’re in good shape at that point right so you go like Jared vanderbelt there’s 10 million go Gabe Vincent right cuz Portland just want salary filler that’s what based on the reports all they care about salary filler and then they just want the picks so if that’s the case then like I said you go him go Gabe Vincent uh and then either D’Angelo Russell or um ruy haimura so let’s say say let’s say it’s ruy hachimura right so ruy would give you another 17 million so 17 million from him got 11 million from Gabe Vincent that puts you at 28 uh you get to you know Jared vanderbelt that’s 38 and then you got to throw in you maybe a expiring or two um you know maybe you’re throwing in a a cam reddish back to them or know maybe they’ll take jayen hood chiino and then boom there you go now you now you got these two and you still have d’angel Russell’s contract uh to go and trade for uh a demard Rosen right unless thear really is set on the 25 million at that case then everything kind of crumbles that makes things a lot harder but if he’s willing to um say make like 20 million then you could go and give uh DLo and then throw in you know any contract get could be cam reddish or whatever and boom there’s the money and now you got all three that’s best case scenario but anyway as always this is a discussion B on you let me know your thoughts and opinions down in the comments below what do you think how do you feel what are your thoughts do you like the idea of going and getting Grant Williams or Jeremy Grant and Robert Williams I keep putting the two together um do you like that idea do you think no just get uh Robert Williams or just get Jeremy Grant or just get dear Rosen and go get other pieces how you feel whatever your thoughts are I’d love to hear it so let me know down in the comments below that being said if you haven’t liked this video hit that like button how me enjoy these types of videos and I truly appreciate it not Lakers Trade with the Portland Trailblazers is being worked out for Jerami Grant. Blazers want 2 of Lakers Nation first round picks and therefore makes things tough but if they could get say a Robert Williams in the deal on top of Jerami Grant that would be huge Lakers News.

  1. Bro… Lebron signed his contract…..all this means nothing…. We can’t do anything other than trades and we are already at $190 with Lebron signing

  2. For LBJ to be taking a cut, new HC and in LA…. Business is business. It’s something we’re not knowing as to why the deals aren’t being done. The blazers could use D:Lo on that expiring contract. They have 2 C’s and could use our wing players on low contracts. Idk mannhh

  3. Let’s get ready to run it back with the play in roster 😂😂😂 yea we are a joke. Bro jerami grant ain’t the answer

  4. The report of Lebron taking a pay cut was meaningless. None of the people on Lebron's list were ever going to sign for the MLE. I like Lebron, but that was a PR move. If Lebron really wanted to help the team, he would have at least waited until late Friday to do so. The best bet for the Lakers is to trade DLO at the deadline when someone will want an expiring contract.

  5. Friendly reminder that the deal for Lebron is not done yet there is a possibility he will take a million below to stay under the second apron so JG is still in play

  6. Lakers needs big men for center position. They may:
◾Trade for Nick Richards and Walker Kessler.
◾Get Robert Williams. 6'8" height with impressive wingspan of 7'5". He's a great defensive player.
◾Get JaVale McGee from rhe free agency. 7-footer height, wingspan of 7'5". He has the speed, ring protector, shot blocker, easy follow-ups shot.

  7. Technically we have 3 firsts that we can trade, but 1 of them cannot be combined with the other 2. We also have multiple swaps plus the ability to remove protection from the Utah pick. Rob has plenty of assets to make multiple moves. I'm hoping for Walker Kessler as our top target. I prefer Kessler over Robert Williams because we need size and floor spacing. I like Grant, but the only way I see a need for Jerami Grant is if both Rui and Vando are going out in deals. We need to get rid of the 1-trick ponies who can't play both ends of the floor, so I'm fine with trading both Vando and Rui. We need 2-way players who can shoot and defend. We basically have over $60 million in salaries to use in 2 or 3 separate deals when you combine DLo, Rui, Vincent Vando and JHS. Rob needs to trade at least those 5 players and can hopefully throw in Cam or Wood just to clear up a roster spot or 2 for free agents.

  8. Lol , the league doesn't just open up and give the Lakers anybody they want ,and give up nothing 😊

  9. I hate to say it but the lakers look like a mom and pop organization and we more than likely will end up with nothing

  10. This is a classic. Record yesterday havd it auto posted at a certain time.
    In the meantime shit changes.

Video comes out like 30 minutes too late:-)

  11. Lebron signed for the max. No motion for the next 2 years. Jeanie Buss needs to fire Rob and sell the team.

  12. Lebron took the max cause they didn sign anyone so trade Dlo, Cam Reddish, Gabe or Rui for Cam Johnson and Finney Smith

Jalen Hood can go if he isn’t NBA ready

  13. Ever since bronny was drafted it certainly seems some players and coaches are disgusted 🤢 by the Lakers commitment to merchandising and marketing. It’s as if they’re laughing behind Buss’ back.

  14. Bro just let it go. Free Agency is over for the lakers. Lebron has taken the max.

Nobody wants to play for the Lakerss for the money they're offering and No teams want to trade for them for the assets they have.

GMs hang up on Rob Pelinka as soon as Rob mentions DLo or Gabe Vincent. They tanked their trade value in the playoffs.

  15. We’re not trying to win. The front office is only worried about storylines and not championships. LeBron has destroyed this team

  16. I like the idea of Grant but R. Williams.. its risky knowing he's injury prone and he earns 12 millions. For a guy that might play 20 minutes, i dont know. I doubt his health but when he's healthy he's pretty good.
