dear de rozen’s days at Chicago Bull are over per Joe Cy and uh we got to talk about what this means for the team moving forward and why he feels this way and also why some of the signings may lead to trading for Josh gaty was the final straw and now demard de rozan is no longer looking to stay with the Chicago Bulls a source told the the Sun Times late Sunday night that Alex Caruso Josh giddy tray was the final straw in D rozen’s mind of any sort of return as the 34 year-old will now use his free agency to shop elsewhere and I don’t I I can’t say that I’m surprised by this I think that you know the the once you got out of the season the likelihood that demard D Roa was going to resign with the Chicago Bulls and be a part of this team it was slim to none to me right because it was just like okay there’s too many options out there maybe there’s still the sign and trade option that is on the table but realistically speaking if if you’re talking about bringing demard de R rozan back on that 40 or 80 million two-year deal that was rumored there if he was willing to accept that that would have been done by now right and so you know that he’s looking for something else here maybe not looking for more money but just looking for a better situation in which to win in and I believe that Demar just sees the writing on the wall he sees that this is going to be a young team moving forward and let’s be 100% honest the signing of Jaylen Smith says uh uh says more about bringing demard de rozan in or not bringing demard de rozan back than trying to resign demard Rosen I I think that when you talk about bringing in a young player and you talk about how the Bulls have moved over the past five days right you draft mataz buus who’s 19 years old you you trade for Josh giddy who’s 21 years old you you resigned Patrick Williams who’s 22 years old you sign uh you allow Andre Drummond to walk who’s now in his 30s and you sign J Smith who is 24 years old it it really shows where this Bulls team is going that they’re focused more on a youth movement and they’re trying to move pieces out of here that aren’t a part of the long-term picture and I’m not upset about that and I’ll say this I’m very grateful for the three years that Demar did give the Chicago Bulls there’s a ton of fun basketball year one was absolutely amazing I think that he’s been a phenomenal player a phenomenal veteran and a phenomenal piece for this team but it is time to move towards the Young movement I’m glad that Demar sees the writing on the wall and it’s just saying you know what I’m going to take the graceful bow out and I’m going to go about my business and finding my way to win an NBA championship and that’s what I want him to do I think that’s what’s best for him and I think this is the best decision for the Bulls overall let me know in the comments below do you feel like the Chicago Bulls Demar d rozan uh tenure is over especially with some of the signings we’ve seen and now this news from Joe cie that once that Josh giddy trade went down it was basically done here’s my thing and here’s the one thing to me that I think the Chicago Bulls really have to focus in on now if you cannot trade Zack LaVine he will have to be a part of this team that means that you’re going to end up losing Demar D rozan possibly for nothing the Chicago Bulls have to just be okay with that Chicago Bulls fans have to just be okay with that and I understand right now does it suck 110% doeses it feel like no you’re you’re you you’ve caused us to to miss out on potential pieces you could have traded these guys 110% but we can’t deal in the past we can only deal with right now and you want to know what I would rather AK deal in the right now logically than deal in the right now the way that he’s dealt in the past the conversation on the right now is that there’s probably not a deal that’s going to be done between between you and the Chicago Bulls and or between you and Demar rosan and you are struggling to trade Zack LaVine by basically saying we’ll take your garbage back if you’ll just take our guy off this hand off off our hands when you’re in that situation you can’t sit there and try and compound issues you can’t sit there and try and we got to fix this we got to Band-Aid this we got to put a patcho on this we got it’s not going to work just accept it it’s okay and and move forward and I think that’s to me where the bulls have struggled to do in the past where you need to cut your losses with a guy maybe you need to not resign some people maybe you need to not sit there and overvalue the talent that you have on your team that is what the Bulls struggle with that’s what Bulls fans struggle with right that’s what that’s what we all struggle with because we value our assets we we sit here and when you come to this city if you rep this city if you play well for this city we love you till the day you die demard de R rozan will always have a place in Chicago Bulls fans hearts but the real conversation around okay what is the future of this team demard D rozan now 34 years old while still having a phenomenal season is not the future of this team he is a piece on this team that has been a hold over from a regime that really never got itself off of the ground and realistically speaking if you’re talking about okay how maybe Demar could be a veteran on this team that guides the team and leads this team to success we haven’t seen him do that with the young guys that are currently here and I’m not saying he’s been put in the best situation I’m not going at Demar at all with this but it’s time to cut bait and I think that the fact that Demar is willing to do that the fact that the Bulls are willing to do that you just have to accept the fact that you’re going to take a loss on something like this unless he does come back to the table and say I’ve got a deal here they say they’re willing to trade me they want to work something out we could do a sign and trade maybe make something work but I don’t see that even being a situation right now because even then what are you taking back are you just trying to take back bad money are there players that are coming back that are actually valuable in a deal like that can you get some draft Capital back those things may be on the table but for for the kind of money that demard is signing 40 we were talking about right the two years 80 million so 40 million a year who you getting back in that who are you trying to bring back what veteran are you trying to bring in and I’m fine with adding veterans to this team but I just don’t think that that’s the way that you need to go right now focus on the Zack LaVine trade see if you work something out with that because that’s the more important of the two pieces that has to be moved that’s the more important of the two pieces that you have to look at and say he has to come back to this team if we don’t have anything next year and we have to figure out how to work him into the rotation and play him the right way so we’ll see what this Bulls team ends up doing I do want to know you guys thoughts in the comments below man let me know do you feel like dear’s days are done here in Chicago do you think that there’s a sign and trade out there that that works for the Chicago Bulls right now I don’t see one that I think benefits us for the long term maybe if you traded them to the Lakers right and you get back some young pieces like hood chaffino and you get some draft Capital back but you still got to find a way to make some money work in that situation that’s still a lot of money that’s that’s on the books that I don’t know if there’s players on the Lakers that I’m looking at like yeah bring them back I’d take Ru hashimura I’d take a couple of names but you still got to make some things work there and I don’t know if I I I don’t know if that’s a situation that the Bulls want to get them eles into although I would take Ru Haim more if that was available but like I said man let me know in the comments below we’ll be live after uh we’ll be live at 6 today uh with a special episode of course covering all the
