Player that would be worth that we heard James Harden We heard clay Thomson We heard a bunch of names and they’ve struck out everywhere and nowar deen Uh with the fact that LeBron has signed He has pushed them right up to the which we don’t need to get into the nuances of the way that debit your ability to build a roster out but it basically means You can’t aggregate salary into a Sign and Trade so itd be very difficult to put a Sign and Trade in andar deren has already said that He’s not going to take a mid level exception we’ll see if He’s forced into doing that But you add all that Up and Western conference If you’re not going up You’re Going Down Uh and so you look at a team that was a playing team last Year We have to talk about lakers We have to sort of always give them a punchers chance because LeBron James and Anthony Davis but How many years now have We been talking about them needing to add firepower either in the form of a third Star or Building out the peripheries of their roster in a smarter fashion with more Shooting That’s Why they wanted clay Thomson and they just haven’t been able to do it so anytime that In The Western conference your biggest Moves are to Sign lebr James and to Sign bunch of coaches You’re not look teric and so the idea that and i don’t think they’re under this illusion But anytime you do change coaches and It’s a big name There is some sort of like fluffy fake optimism that oh we switched gears were going to be different next There are Only a handful of coaches that make a real needle Moving difference with the same roster that they inherited Only a handful did it jaon got seems to get something out of nothing But for the most part all of these coaches are very good but not other worldly they do What the roster enables them to do and the lakers just have not upgraded their roster Uh you got What Now four years removed from that bubble Championship the lakers have only Won two playoff series since then have We seen the last of LeBron James really competing for a Championship it certainly feels that way I mean I think Maybe It’s probably been that For A While although they do tease you you know they were in the bit to the bulls here the the fact that the bulls kept hanging on toar dero and Alex caruso and Andre drum and l who they still can’t rid of When their value was highest they’re going to be stuck with these guys I don’t think is going to end up Going Back there um but yeah the lakers were one of his options the problem is and There’s been reporting on this that He’s not going to accept a mid level exception Which is like 12 million bucks He doesn’t want to accept that and That’s the way the lakers were Trying to squeeze him in now Again We just talked about they could possibly do a Sign in Trade I’m not i would advocate for it Because i don’t think fits very well they need three-point Shooting He’s not a three-point Shooter but you’re right He’s still a very very good Player in a playoff bucket getter He’s 20 close to 25 points a game you mentioned the Shooting percentage Again It doesn’t come from three and that hinders you a little bit in the postseason um but He can still help a lot of teams the problem is Where can he fit in for the money that he wants to take so I’ve heard sacramento is a Dark Horse again I don’t know how much he fits there with the ball so much in deon fox’s hands but sacramento Pretty much everyone believes is not done a Dark Horse in the lor Mark in case umar rosen could Go Somewhere on a oney deal enter free agency kind of Bite the Bullet this year take a smaller salary I’m thinking about a team like okc Who’s ready to compete for a title Right now he goes in He takes a oney deal and Then He becomes a free agent Again next Year after he perhaps ups his ups his value but Yeah It’s looking like unless Somebody pulls off a Sign in Trade and commits valuable assets Uh to do that with Chicago There’s not a lot of teams really really any teams with significant cap Space left so He’s starting to have to diminish the amount of money that he’ll take and Maybe start thinking a l a little more big picture Where I Go Play for this one year I take less money go to a team that can contend and reenter the market next Year My fiance is a Kings fan So I think He likes the sound ofar rosen head It would be It would be a big name and If
