Hayes-Davis averaged 15/5/2 on 62% TS (48/39/82 shooting splits) during the past Euroleague regular season and made the Final Four with the Turkish powerhouse.
He also was the first and only player to score 50 points in an Euroleague game, doing so against Alba Berlin on 83% TS (9/16 from three). Euroleague star and former NBA player Nikola Mirotic stated that it's the equivalent of scoring 80 in the NBA.
Hayes-Davis drew considerable interest from multiple NBA teams, with the Suns being most adamant to get the 29-year-old sharpshooter back to the NBA, but ultimatelly it broke down because he doesn't have an NBA opt out clause in his contract.
The former Wisconsin Badger has become one of the top-paid players in Europe with this new contract.

Looking at his NBA stats I can see why he doesn’t want to come back.

I hate it when such statements are made — but there’s not a database to compare it to, nor is there anything concrete about the contract reported in the first place. Presumably more than Suns could have paid him though?
Good to hear he is having success over there, Jabari Parker seems happy in Europe too, glad they didn’t end their careers when the NBA didn’t work out.
Side note that Wisconsin team was likeable
With his NBA stats I’d reject a return offer too
I’d probably stay to eat all the amazing Turkish food tbh. But honestly, good for him. Nigel is a super good dude so I’m glad he’s doing well.
isn’t he the one with the adorable video of him saying gosh she’s beautiful
