Sandro played well and PH advanced. Good result IMO

  2. Common_Starling

Goga missed a putback dunk on his own basket at the buzzer in order to send the game to OT. Don’t think i’ll ever see a finish like that again.

Wow that zone defense was the mvp here

  4. idrinkcement

Should have shot the ball in Philippines’ rim, go to OT. Win by 19.

  5. The fate of the universe on the line, the Martians have the death beam pointed at earth, you better hit it… I want Justin Brownlee.

  6. Competitive_Wear_408

Georgia couldnt adjust to our Pinoy SONA

  7. Never imagined I’d see a game where the winning team would try to score in their own basket to force OT.

2 games in less than 24hrs too. Let’s go gilas.

  8. tremble01

No, Goga. The Basketball gods do not approved of that.

  9. M_O_N_K_E_SENSEI

Philippines gambled with that zone defense to turn that game into a half court battle since georgia was out running the them

The Michael Jordan of the Philippines sends his regards

  11. HalfTreant

So the Philippines will either face Brazil or Montenegro

28pts, 8 rebs, 8 asts. How does this affect LeBrownlee’s legacy?

  13. techno_playa

    Brasil is gonna be difficult.

They are fast, athletic, and big.

Georgia won, but at what cost?

Weird ending but really clever, they try to force OT to get 5 minutes more on the clock and get a 19 point lead to qualify for the group semis.

Can’t believe I’d be alive to see the day we actually look on par with these European teams. Who knew we already had the talent all along and just needed a coaching overhaul.

  16. 16-0 run by Georgia in the 1st. 20 point lead in the 2nd. PHL team battled back and even got a one point lead in the second half.

  17. Devoidoxatom

Didn’t see the earlier parts. Was Kai Sotto’s injury bad? Feel like they missed his rim presence and passing bad

  18. Competitive_Wear_408

Was weird watching Goga’s body language all game, felt like he was gonna pop off at any moment. Guess this was what he was like at Indiana because at Orlando he was able to keep his emotion on check

  19. accessdenied4

Georgia tried to tip in the missed FT by the Philippines to go to OT but missed. But there is still a bit of time to try and shoot it again, why didn’t Georgia did that? Is there a difference between “accidentally” (tho it is intentional) vs blatantly shooting the ball into the opponent’s basket? Or they just gave up because even the tip in missed? Lol

  20. PositiveCounty4347

Team USA shaking nervously and Gilas hasn’t even qualified yet

  21. Lmao spoelstra’s philosophy in zone comes down until to his summer league assistant (Cone) 🤣

  22. Winter_Purpose8695

I am looking forward to seeing more time for Quimbao and Tamayo in the future

  23. Drummallumin

A little surprised they didn’t push for the win at the end but I get it, they’re gonna have to win 2 games anyways and the extra 5 minutes of intensity probably isn’t worth it from a fatigue standpoint.

  24. itsallmelting

Feel so vindicated for calling for Chot’s head. Our federation is so fucking stupid keeping him as hc that long.

  25. FrankieBarbingo

Gonna be hard to beat that Sexton, Edwards, Brown, Jabari Jr, Carter Jr lineup

  26. durianlover13

As a Gilas fan, im not mad at all with the loss. PH team showed resilence that I would never see in the chot reyes era. These guys play smart basketball now, know how to exploit their quickness and are patient in their approach. They just need to watch those TOs and missed FTs though.

  27. RobbobertoBuii

no more PH/GIlas being the ones getting blown out by 20+ every game. Great job continued Tim Cone

  28. Bitadze and Mamu is a good pairing, i’m excited to see what they do in the next years

  29. Silentrift24

What’s the technicality anyway for the Philippines’ to have advanced even if they lost? Was it because they beat a higher ranked team?

  30. VTuberFadeaway

it’s actually insane how competitive the Philippines has been in this field. Cone really is a miracle worker.

  31. waffle-winner

Sandro “Face of the SAS Franchise” Mamukelashvili.

  32. techno_playa

“We’re going zone, we never practiced it.”

    Lmao

  33. paddiction

Hopefully Kai Sotto is fine, he’s been the best big man this tournament

  34. Mamu!!! I wish the bucks didn’t let him go cause he was the best
