done it maybe this is your first scroll maybe you’re seeing it in the headline on the old uh Twitter verse there maybe you’re just hopping on YouTube all the digital Medias of course just finding this out now the 76ers as many of you may have expected late last night the 76ers have signed Paul George to a four-year $212 million Max contract when you went to bed last night you knew Andre Drummond was joining the Sixers again to be again the best backup center Joel embiid has ever had he is back with the 76ers Kelly UB comes back to the 76ers and of course Paul George is the headliner in all of this playoff Paul Paul P PG PG13 whatever is with the 76ers going into the offseason you heard time and time again from darl Mory about how this team wanted to add a wing they wanted to add a dynamic player they have certainly added that Dynamic player in Paul George 34 years old to be 35 in the playoffs next year um what you’re getting from him at this stage in his career obviously is an older player I still believe can be that Dynamic scorer I still believe could be that solid Defender I still believe could be a slasher uh overall just a score that this offense will desperately need I am excited I am happy this is exactly what I want to see the Sixers do in the offseason when you really think about it look is it does it put them over the hump let me let me just cut the Cas here where does it put them in the East I I don’t I don’t think they’re better better than than the Celtics it’s it’s going to be tough for them to be better than the Bucks still it’s going to be tough for them to be better uh than the Pacers even it’s going to be a dog fight when you get down to it because of the one biggest thing that always has to temper your expectations and that’s the health of Joel embi at the end of the season what this does though if Joel embiid is at a similar point that he was at in this past playoff run what you will have here is a guy like Andre drumond be able to come off the bench and give you good minutes not be a minus 17 in the game like Paul George was excuse me uh like bball Paul was unfortunately in the playoffs last year against the Knicks you have somebody to help prevent the disaster without you willing beat the lineup and that’s just at the center position then obviously you bring in a dynamic scorer like Paul George and he’s a guy that along with Tyrese Maxi can help carry an offense in the absence of Joel embiid not just for missing games for injury or his fatigue doesn’t have him at the right level or whatever the case might be but in the event that he needs to be taken out of a game you can have other people step up get those rebounds get that scoring for you and that’s what you have right now by being able to bring in that solid backup center that you can trust and also the playmaking ability of Paul George and then the the cherry on top of all of this I mean don’t get me wrong the greatest thing that happened is Paul George coming here however right after that you look at the two other additions that were made Andre Drummond and then Kelly UB Kelly UB also coming back to the 76ers I thought really found his way in Philadelphia towards the end of last season you saw him be continuously this spark late in games when they needed somebody to step up if things weren’t working if Tyrese Maxi was off if Joelle embiid wasn’t playing more often than not it was Kelly UB in the second half of that season being that huge spark and I’m not talking about a 32-point game even though that’s a great example uh against the Toronto Raptors but I’m talking about other games odds and ends throughout the season especially in the second half without Joel embiid that you saw Kelly UB provide that big play that sparked it offense if it was only a a 10-point game he would score those 10 points in the spot where everyone seemed to be going ice cold and he was the guy to get you back on track so I’m very excited that he’s going to be back with the Sixers as as well on a 2-year deal Drummond 2-year deal UB 2-year deal and of course Paul George coming here on a 4year deal you woke up to this most likely this tweet by Adrien W darowski talking about Paul George obviously the breaking news there then he goes into a little bit more depth when he talks about the deal again Paul George free agent Paul George has agreed to a four-year 212 million contract extension with the Philadelphia 76ers sources tell ESPN George committed committed in a meeting with the Sixers officials and returns to the east to join Joel embiid Tyrese maxley in pursuit of an NBA title first thing we saw was Andre Drummond this was from sham Shania coming out there talking about how the two-year deal 10 plus million dollars to come back to the 76ers phenomenal there and then early this morning uh you saw this from wge as well Kelly UB 2-year Deal $16.3 million to stay in Philadelphia deal includes a player option for the 2025 2026 season for the Sixers starting two guard uh also how dare I forget Eric Gordon okay veteran guard uh joining the Sixers now 35 years old as well uh he’s gonna be joining the frey also here in Philly so a very busy first couple hours for Daryl M I’m happy I am excited uh the overall thing for me and this was as I told you guys going into all of this when we last spoke on Friday I you know there’s a there’s a pecking order here when you’re talk about free agency uh the the Sixers probably their best bet other than Tyrese Maxi was to blow it up that was probably their best bet but they’re not gonna do that they’re they’re not trading Joel embiid they’re not coming this far with Joel embiid to uh I guess quit now in their thought process so their best bet was to go out there and get that best possible free agent they could get well LeBron wasn’t coming here okay uh Jimmy Butler is pretty happy in Miami uh Paul George oh Paul George what’s Paul George got going on here oh Paul George we could get Paul George all let’s get Paul GE we could really use that Wing Daryl Mory soon as the season was over and he took to the uh took the microphone he just laid it out for you we want a wing player we want a star caliber Wing player to play with these two guys Tyrese Maxi and Joelle embiid are a great start and if you’re able to add another Dynamic Wing player to this offense to this team oh hey what we could do what we could accomplish well everyone that heard that just oh Paul George he want to get Paul George then you saw Paul George Joel embiid on what was it NBA today or whatever NBA count whatever it was and you saw them on the pregame show there with the Malik Andrews and uh Stephen A Smith and they were talking about you know adding pieces and Joel and beid adding pieces and a little look over to Paul George oh maybe this could happen and then a week later you see uh interest waiting in the 76ers in Paul George like okay let’s See’s maybe Paul George feels like he is gonna go back to LA maybe he is going to reup with the Clippers who by the way gave a twoyear $70 million deal to James Harden um and then you start to hear more about how things are waning really when in in regard to the Clippers and Paul George and you hear that early in the day yesterday and you knew he had meetings with the magic who brought in cavus colwall Pope uh so like oh they brought him in Sixers are are getting Andre Drummond the uh the magic are already adding a player that could be competing for the ball with Paul George in that G okay that’s interesting oh the Clippers aren’t going to be bringing him back as a story came out from WJ and from sham saying yeah it’s not happening between the Clippers and Paul George so that leaves the Sixers and the magic I was like it’s not going to be the magic if his next meeting is with the Sixers I Daryl Mory there is no way and the hold up apparently with the Clippers with the big thing was committed to that fourth year they didn’t want to do it with Paul Jordan after giving up five first round picks after ging five first round picks the the Clippers were little SK they didn’t want to give a third they want to give a fourth year the hall that they gave up to OKC to get Paul George we’re gonna back off on that four that four We’re not gonna do that okay so the Sixers jumped in Daryl morray says oh we got a fourth year for you fella oh boy dude we got a fourth year and $212 million on that max deal and just like that it was sign seal delivered dunzo Paul George to the Sixers what I want to see from Paul George now is that 41% from three he has never shot better than he shot last year from three and you see a guy over the last five year five years of his career consistently regardless of the offense regardless of who’s with him consistently be a 21 to 25 points per game type score he has kept that kind of consistency the big leap for him last year I mean really throughout his entire career but in the last couple years he has kept that kind of consistency and that’s very important when you’re talking about an aging player sure that that wall could be out there in front of them for them to hit and all of a sudden they’re just cooked and we all certainly hope that’s not the case but just in terms of style him playing with a younger Tyrese Maxi him playing with another the scoring champion in Joel embiid it can allow him to fill a role here on this team and I’m not degrading or belittling Paul George’s game by any means to a role player but in terms of what he could do on this team sure it’s a lot of what you’ve seen him do throughout his career but if there’s going to be something to fall back on and almost preserve PG for the near future of this contract it’s being able to hit those three to four threes per game it’s being able to shoot 41% from Beyond The Arc and help space the floor for a slashing Tyrese Maxi and Paul George be able to spot up for a three on the perimeter uh also still use that ability to get to the basket to be aggressive and go to the foul line and all that he still has that as very much part of his game but when it comes to the style of play you could really see more from him here in Philly is almost falling back more on that three-point range that he has and three-point range that he had had at the best level of his career at the best part of his career or the best part of his game this past season was that three-point shot if you’re getting a 34y old Paul George I don’t want him continuously going hard to the basket I want to be able to preserve him for what it matters most in the postseason because we all know the unfortunate question mark that Joel embiid has been regarding his health in the postseason you now have that other scorer that can help carry this team in a postseason run in the first round this team this team does beat the Knicks last year I mean all you really needed to even make it more of a series at least force a game game seven was a legitimate backup center that would have changed a lot in that series but this particular team does make it out of that first round last year but the Knicks have gotten better the Celtics are going to get better they just just by improving the the Celtics get better the Pacers stay a pretty damn good basketball team the Cavs are still a team you have to keep an eye on this team this Sixers team I I think still is better than the Cavs but you look at the Celtics the Bucks and you look at the Pacers you look at the Knicks these are going to some pretty good basketball teams in this upcoming season and that’s who the Sixers are trying to keep Pace with Dell embiid stays healthy which is what this is all based on the Sixers will go out there and still have themselves a time this season uh the Paul George acquisition is obviously one that gets a lot of people excited but still it’s going to be an extremely competitive Eastern Conference in the upcoming year and it’s going to be that way for a very long time this helps the Sixers without question keep pace and not that you ever a roote for injury but you never know what’s going to happen when a season starts who what team’s going to lose who and we’ve certainly had our share of that here in Philadelphia but this helps the Sixers keep Pace with the rest of the Eastern Conference does it make a the number one team in the Eastern Conference absolutely not I think we all realize that I don’t think any rational minded Sixers fan is gonna look at this addition of Paul George Andre Drummond uh Kelly UB Jared McCain and go oh yeah Eric Gordon and and go oh well now they’re better than the Celtics could it be farther from the truth does it put the Sixers in that spot to still be very competitive in the Eastern Conference absolutely does it put them in the finals they have a lot to prove for me to even buy into that um the realist in me on a day where I don’t want to take away from anybody’s excitement it still has me in the same position and going into this free agency period we had talked about the other names out there um Paul George probably in terms of putting you over the top was number three on that list for me behind LeBron which I know wasn’t gonna happen uh behind Jimmy Butler which I had a pretty good idea was never gonna happen I think we all had a pretty good idea that wasn’t G to happen and then the re the events that happened just before the weekend of Jimmy Butler uh saying he’s just going to play out his final year in Miami and hope for the best that kind of let you know what he was doing and then Paul George was the next best option on that list and here we are Paul George going to be playing for the next four years according to the contract with the Philadelphia 76ers this is it’s a great move for the Sixers it’s exactly what they needed but one thing we have learned time and time again from this Sixers team is it all depends on where Joelle is at healthwise by the time the postseason starts this is going to be a lot more fun of a regular season with Paul George being here knowing that you have that backup center in Andre Drummond is going to be a lot more fun and also the think of the minutes the minutes it get spell when I look at um Paul George and look for a declining play if I’m really like looking for that right it’s 34 years old what are we getting right now and how is that going to decline I look at the three-point shooting and say well who says it has to who says it has to decline it doesn’t uh because the three-point shooting shooting is so good when I look at Andre Drummond I look at a guy three years ago that was playing about 18 minutes per game off the bench for the Sixers then I look at a guy this past year that was playing at about 17 minutes per game for the Chicago Bulls still getting rebounds around uh eight to 10 rebounds a game and the limited minutes off the bench that’s all you need from A Center on this team and to have that behind Joel embiid is invaluable to have the kind of spark that uh Kelly UB could be uh starting at that two spot to have a guy like Jared McCain hopefully he comes in here he can shoot the lights out just like he did when he was a Duke uh all the discipline all the hard work that people talk about with him all that is still very much coming to fruition at the professional level this GNA be a pretty solid Sixers team in a very competitive Eastern Conference the unfortunate thing is no Health with Joel embiid you still get bounced out of the second round of the playoffs Paul George obviously has the experience of playing in uh Conference Finals in his career something that is another word use it again invaluable to this Sixers Squad that does not have a lot of guys that can brag about that uh all in all what a day I’m excited I know a lot of you guys are excited about it as well I eager I’m very eager for the Sixers season to start and I know we have quite a while before then and we still have a whole rest of the offseason to go for the Sixers but if this is the start to it they checked a major box if they were going to get that star player that third wheel if you will or that you know number two scorer maybe to Joel embiid or number three right behind Tyrese Maxi if they were G to go out and get that guy I at least needed to make sure they could round out the bench and get a guy like Andre Drummond they went out and got that we were pining for Andre John I did a hit on CBS 3 last night and they’re like what other moves you want to see the Sixers make I’m like well they check the major box for me with Andre Drummond I know a lot of people how pathetic is it that we got a pine over Andre Drummond and then I want Kelly UB back and there was a report late last actually over the weekend that Kelly UB and the Sixers weren’t seeing eye to ey Kelly UB potentially has priced himself out of returning to the Sixers and here he is $16.3 million over two years yeah oh that’s a pretty damn good deal I’ll take that even seeing him improve uh from a defensive perspective last year absolutely worth it but uh obviously the huge thing is looking at Paul George he brings a a great Dynamic um to the Sixers offense the ability to shoot from the outside uh the ability to score from just about wherever on the court and yeah I know we talking about what 77 games last year um one thing that does worry me about the three-point percentage the number of games played despite uh some injuries obviously in his career one thing that does grab my attention is it is a contract year it is a contract year I look forward to hearing what he has to say I want to I want to gauge the uh motivation to win a championship I want to hear what he has to say about joining this team how he sees himself fitting in with maxi and embiid how Maxi and embiid plan on fitting in around him as well what they can do to make sure they get the most out of him there’s a lot to consider but one of the things I really do look forward to hearing is just his determination uh at 34 years old 35 in the playoffs next year uh to see how he could keep on uh playing at an extremely high level for at least the duration of this contract that’s for sure four years 212 million not a bad day for the Sixers in total yesterday not a bad day at all for Paul George as far as some other names that are out there Klay Thompson is uh is still out there uh that I heard W say last night that his time with the uh Golden State Warriors is done uh he’s taking meetings one of the meetings was supposed to be with the 76ers we’ll see see if that still happens you and an off season let’s just live in this fantasy world for a second here and six boatload of money $53 million per year over the four-year deal of uh Paul George uh with the Acquisitions they already made I don’t know how Klay Thompson fits into it all and you still got to pay Maxi that’s something we can’t forget about uh but man that’d be something one thing you know what was funny one thing that that did dawn on me yesterday um while I was watching you know getting ready for all the free agent stuff it just kind of clicked I was watching um I think it was woes talk about Klay Thompson I’m just watching Klay Thompson and then I went on I was on social media and I think it was Duke Duke released like Through The Years video of Jared McCain and as Jared McCain gets older it that really cool I think the Sixers retweeted it but because I don’t follow Duke I don’t think on Twitter and uh they had I I went from watching Klay Thompson at jar McCain and I’m not saying not comparing the talent level I’m not saying Jared McCain is Klay Thompson I’m not going down that road I’m just saying this one thing visually speaking their their shot their form especially their set shot in particular because Klay Thompson doesn’t really move around a lot Jared McCain moves around a lot uh but just terms of their set shot eerily similar the release the setup uh footwork Klay Thompson and Jerry McCain just visually speaking all right this isn’t some piping hot take of oh Jeremy CES Klay Thompson not saying that at all I’m just talking about their form and their shot I’m like huh that’s you really similar they look very similar when they do that not saying it’s going be it I’m just saying just oh that’s a that’s a nice thing if you’re going to look like somebody look be look like one of the best Shooters of the last like 20 years in the NBA that’d be nice one of the best shooters ever if you really want to get into it um so I uh thoroughly enjoyed the frenzy that was yesterday and as soon as I saw that the Clippers back to Paul George as soon as I saw that the Clippers ended that meeting and the one report from W was unlikely very un likely and then sham sham Shia put out there uh he is not returning to the LA Clippers my thought was like oh so now he’s a sixer and I stayed up stayed up late and then woes put it out there what time was it this morning uh sham put it out there fouryear 212 million at 3:31 this morning I would assume WJ put it out there around the same time oh wge beat him by a minute 3:30 this morning Paul George is a 76er uh in your mind where does it put him did they get out of the second round of the playoffs do they get to the Eastern Conference Finals are they a finals team now where does this put the Sixers I think one of the most underrated things in all of this look the headline again Paul George great to have him but a huge deal for me I know for a lot of other people is Andre Drummond being back here and I remember when everything went down with Ben Simmons and James Harden came here and James Harden was obviously the headline just like Paul George is now but when Andre Drummond left I I thought I know a lot of people were focused on Seth Curry too but I thought hold on when embiid leaves it’s a disaster it’s a horrible disaster we all love the story of bball Paul but last year’s playoffs not great not great Daryl Mory checked two huge boxes and if you want to include Kelly UB in this sure I think they could have gotten uh somebody else but I really like Kelly Uber I wanted he was my number one I wanted him back if you were to tell me guys at that position to be in the starting five Kelly UB was my number one so I’m glad that’s done but having Andre Drummond here you can’t talk enough about how huge that backup center position is here uh in Philadelphia now you got the best guy that you’ve ever had backup in beid you know how old Andre Drummond is by the way 30 I don’t know why I had it in my head that he was 35 38 years old but 30 years old Andre Drummond back with the 76ers you love to see it so where you at on this now before I move on to the next topic I’m G do a chat check here I want to see how you guys are feeling about this deal uh when it comes to the 76ers so I’m going to do two chat checks today first off ibh saying good morning how about them Sixers says ibh Buddy Christ good morning will PG help the Sixers finally make it to the Conference Finals okay I gotta see how really it all comes together um yes to answer your question affirmative he absolutely helps the 76ers to make the Conference Finals finally helps that will they do it to me my biggest concerns still in the Eastern Conference are the obviously Boston Celtics the Milwaukee Bucks believe it or not right uh and the New York Knicks those are still my major Indiana Pacers can’t be overlooked certainly uh Paul George’s old team as we know from many many years ago now but it certainly puts the Sixers in a cat ategory where if they are able to get that third seed able to get that two seed excuse me then they’ll be able to of course have a great uh chance of making the Eastern Conference Finals this to me even more so than the 32y old James Harden this is a this is the best acquisition the Sixers have made since Jimmy Butler since the Jimmy Butler quadruple dink year this is the best acquisition the Sixers have made uh and I say that because you now have Tyrese Maxi that’s the Difference Maker for me and one of the things that really stuck out to me about Daryl Mor’s press conference other than shouting from the rooftops basically oh we’re gonna get Paul George we won Paul George hopefully we can get Paul George the other thing that stuck out to me in that was they were even surprised by how much Tyrese Maxi improved again from two years ago to this year they had a question going into it can Tyrese maxley be the number two scorer on a championship caliber team yes was the very loud answer to that with a huge exclamation point to it so I love that um and Paul George coming here to Philadelphia with Tyrese Maxi being able to play at the level that he could play at and obviously Joel embiid and the level we all know he could play at just a matter of whether or not you keep that uh keep him healthy throughout the year and ready for the postseason Paul George his versatility and his ability to blend I mean think about this in Indiana he had success as a player in uh o OKC success is a player obviously in La success is a player like he the guy out play he’s a great player uh it’s just a matter of how much of that greatness he has left over four years I think this first year obviously the greatness will still be there you got to keep him healthy as well um but over the next couple of years it’s a matter of whether or not he keeps his shooting up from the outside and that I think will keep him playing at an extremely high level uh over the course of this contract because these guys I mean even if their knees go if something they they get slower obviously the shooting is something that that stays there and if you’re able to keep him open on the perimeter he could be deadly and I that’s what I’m looking forward to the most about him what he could bring to this floor uh or bringing bringing to this offense and the ability to spread the floor uh so Buddy Christ that’s great I think that’s the longest I’ve had Buddy Christ up there on the screen so I appreciate it uh jordano Molina what’s they have a much better chance now hell yeah they have a bun better again this is the best acquisition the Sixers have made since Jimmy Butler it’s better than James Harden it’s a hell of a lot more it’s hell of a lot better than James Harden uh in terms of now J hard was 32 years old and we obviously have the the ability to look back on that and go huh that’s that didn’t work out it didn’t work out unfortunately despite a 40-point game against the Celtics uh in Boston without Joel embiid it still didn’t work out uh as we know but Paul George with Tyrese Maxi running the offense this is your best I’ll put it this way this is your best big three that’s the easiest easiest statement you can make in the Joel embiid era since Jimmy Butler this is your best big three by far John cheebo Sixers meeting last night was like is your name Paul George yes do you go there PG-13 yes uh I’d be I’d been called that uh have you heard of the 76ers sure why not okay here’s a max deal for10 billion the only thing I would have added is um the only thing I would have added is uh do you play Wing that seem to be the apple of the eye Ray leser too bad PG didn’t want to come to Philly three years ago before the Harden debacle let me think of the order of that uh yeah because he was with the Clippers still then right yeah yeah playoff P here with Joel embiid well Maxi’s maturation obviously wasn’t there yet there we go Jeremy Hudson uh money down the drain Kelly earned a new deal like in all honesty why what was the alternative because I the only other alternative to the Sixers signing uh really anyone of note was blowing it the hell up that was the only other alternative alternative it was trading Joel embiid so it’s either the Sixers give up on the embiid era and get first round picks and all that jazz and whatever and then just rebuild from there um or they go out and they sign a big time player and they went outside a big time player because the Sixers weren’t going to give up on and beid just yet so this is this is uh I hate to call it an insurance policy when you get Andre Drummond and Paul George because you’re thinking oh well we’re not going to be that good come the playoffs even if you are that good come the playoffs with let’s say Joel embiid’s a million percent healthy right let’s live in this world for a second where Joel embiid is playing enough games during the regular season to qualify for an MVP win the MVP get into playoffs and then he starts cooking in the playoffs and he’s healthy and we don’t have we don’t have concern about injuries with Joel embiid in the playoffs like oh will he come back in time to play himself into shape no let’s get away from that for a second let’s just think about this let’s think about Joel embiid is uh is coming back uh and he’s healthy as a horse and everything’s great you still need Paul George you still need need Andre Drummond if you want to have a at least a chance to compete in the Eastern Conference I mean the thing for me is I look back on the two teams last year with the Knicks and the Sixers you’re at least playing seven game you’re probably in all honesty I know the Knicks and Jaylen Brunson especially was he was unconscious in that series just incredible um but if you have a a backup center that just presents uh prevents disaster you might win that you probably win that series like Andre TR would have been a Difference Maker for the Sixers in that series certainly Paul George would have been as well but I mean that’s what so that’s what’s such a huge gut punch looking back on that series uh so yeah would you would you rather here’s the question then would you rather sign Paul George or would you rather trade Joel embiid do you want to go through another awful process because I don’t uh Kelly earn a new deal hell yeah he did Joseph EV I would have liked him back as well oh that just that just happened the rose instead of [Music] Lakers if yeah I have to see that nice with it it depends uh can embiid stay healthy that’s what it all goes on Ray i’ rather have George than Butler there you go signed signed Seth Curry for the league minimum George Kelly Drummond yep there you oh dear God uh and then uh second is yeah did I just put that in your head too okay uh and then second is watching the season get underway yeah that’s where I’m at that’s where I’m at but but bottom line is when I woke up this morning and saw this I was a very happy camper I in all honesty I mean I went I stayed up I don’t know it’s about 12:30 uh 1:30 last night 12:30 1 o’clock last night and um I was waiting for it because once I knew that the meeting was done with the Clippers and hold on there’s one more thing that I saw let me see if I can get this in here uh this was from W as well let’s see if this loads I put this up before the show and it didn’t go in here we go uh George and his agent Aaron Mintz of the CIA met with the Sixers officials including Josh Harris darl Mory Elton brand remember him and Legend Julius Irving in Los Angeles PG PG agree agreed on a deal that includes a player option sources said the doctor Julius Irving helped close the deal if you’re if you’re PG you just met with the Clippers and you’re like you’re still not giving me that year they’re not giving me that year and then uh you know darl muray walks in and Josh Harris like oh the owner took time to be here that’s nice you know uh and then he owns like 17 teams and he had the time to come here okay this is Honorable I like this okay then Elon like hey EB what’s going on man and then um Julius Irving walks in okay all right the doctor’s in the house that’s High Praise my friends that’s High Praise all right uh hey you’re Phillies um they played a little Series against the Miami Marlins and I think the best way to describe this is uh it was I was asked the question last night uh on CBS 3 you know how big of a win is it that they beat the Marlins all right the way I think is the best way to answer this because let’s let’s not ignore this this is a huge win that they didn’t lose three of four to the Marlin how big is a win I said it’s a huge win but I hate how huge it is like it shouldn’t be a huge win to beat the Marlins uh for those that watch the show regularly you guys know I’m a huge fan of nor McDonald and this this this type of series reminds me of a nor McDonald punchline stay with me okay stay with me here one of my favorite things Norman Donald would do is like he would say the obvious punch like he’d say the like the punch line would also be the point and it was like the Marlin suck so in this nor McDonald joke like the the Marlin suck and it’s like yeah the Phillies won they came back Nick ciano’s four hits oh Trey Turner a game-winning hit on his birthday you know and we should all be really excited to beat the uh the [Applause] Marlins all right you needed did the greatest start in the history of Christopher Sanchez’s life to beat the Marlins in the second game in this series um you uh needed Nick castios to have his best game of the season to beat the uh Marlins you need a late inning biggest comeback rally of your season to beat the Marlins you split with the Marlins yeah that not not ideal not ideal you over a two game span you scored four runs on the 26th ranked pitching staff in baseball 26 in ra 26 in that’s terrible and you’re the Phillies crying out loud I don’t give a damn look I know it matters interdivisional opponents blah blah blah blah BL blah I get it but good God man here’s what really sucks about only splitting with the Marlins and and granted I’m splitting hairs here over maybe one more game because you lose one game in a Four game series ah you know tough to win you know four games you know sweep a four game series against the divisional opponent blah blah blah the Marlins are always a thorn in the Philly side um but uh you got let’s see the Cubs you’re facing him and AA in this series uh you got the uh and the Cubs aren’t a great baseball team I’m not saying that but you know you can run into some good pitching there um you got uh you got the Braves you’re eight games up on the Braves right now in the NL East and then you got the Dodgers coming to South Philadelphia I hate using this term especially when has such a bad connotation on it but uh Gauntlet have we heard this one yet a bit of a gauntlet that the Phillies have in front of them Eagles had a gauntlet how’d that go oh that was at the end of their season this is just the end of the first The Unofficial first half of the Season pre-all-star break okay okay okay um so to stack wins in this Marlin series would have been nice to not have to squeak out wins in this Marlin series would have been better the seventh inning uh was ability to thrown in the side for two games won the Zack Wheeler start both seven and 2/3 both wheeler and Nola seven and two excuse me six and two3 looking pretty damn good and then just that final out of the seventh inning couldn’t get it and ended up being the difference in the ball game Christopher Sanchez goes out there between the two throws the game of his life from that uh three hit shutout complete game shut out uh that was awesome felt great for him my point on the postcast with Christopher Sanchez throwing that game over the weekend was very simple was this was a guy that was pulled after two and a third innings in the playoffs last year Rob Thompson looks down his rotation says who can I have up in game four I think it was against the Diamondbacks and he looks at Christopher Sanchez he says you get the ball but you don’t get it for long I’m pulling you after two two in the third Innings and he takes them out and that as I said at the time that moved everybody up the bullpen to the point where you knew Craig Kell was going to come back in the game or come back in the series so that was that was pretty crappy um and then I see him pitch lights out this year to the point of what has been to this point the Pinnacle of that complete game shut out first of his career and he was so dominant I mean from his change up to a sinker everything was working beautifully for him in that Series in that in that start and then they come out the following day that’s the Nola day and that sucked and then yesterday Ranger Suarez gets taken for six runs good God 10 runs and his last two starts um gets taken for six runs yesterday just everything looked off for him and then they’re able to Rally thanks to Nick casianos having the day of his life from the plate uh well day of his season I should say say and Alec B hit a home run that was that was great too and Trey Turner on his birthday coming up with a game-winning two-run single good stuff there yesterday from the Phils able to pick up Ranger Suarez unable to get that 11th win of the Season or 12th win of the Season though but all else is great all else is great uh Phillies have the off day today in but the Sixers aren’t winning a championship the Sixers are not going to win a championship with Joel embiid it’s not happening the rest I forget about the rest of the league the rest of the conference is too good I hope I’m wrong on that but I don’t see it happening even with Paul George I don’t see it happening so if that’s the way I feel then the only real option for the Sixers other than was nope we got to squeeze every last drop we got to ring out the rag that is the process maybe one of these drops will hit a seed and a beautiful tree will Sprout from it a big strong oak tree that will build many championships upon it so because that’s not happening because excuse me because that’s the way it’s going down Sixers are trying to squeeze every last drop out of Joel embiid they’re not going to ping in they’re not going to trade them and they’re not going to start another rebuild and I’m not going to say another process because I never want to see a process again and I I I said it earlier in the show I let me take that back do you want to start another process no there should never be another process after the way this process went do you really want to start another one you have to be crazy like I understand rebuilding is going to happen but a process like I understand tanking is g to happen but a pro no no no not doing it hey yeah let’s get two number one overall picks that are not going to have long-term Futures in Philadelphia yeah that was fun just nameth you uh Gerald cover did we get Lori marketed from the Jazz no no that would been awesome but no
