the latest pick they have could be a very good pick, based on our projected window, and whether the knicks stretch their window to the max or trades guys before they lose value or contracts expire.
still thrilled with the offseason moves as a whole, so far.

It’s a logical bet, I support the move.. if betting odds makes people feel better about future certainty then sure, why not.

“only three firsts” I really don’t like cocky talk like this, one major injury during one of those years we owe New Jersey an unprotected first and shit could come back to bite you real quick.

“Only three firsts” like we didn’t get quickley and deuce late. Don’t see the point in downplaying mortgaging our future but tall wings are exactly what we need around brunson so I’m hoping it works out. No one won the trade yet though

This is how it goes for basically all 4+ pick trades. The other team is in “win-now” mode so the first 1-2 picks are almost guaranteed to be bad
But in this case Bk gets two (maybe) late first rounders in a stacked draft
Not saying it’s a bad trade, just don’t think this reasoning is groundbreaking

The Jazz wanted IQ/RJ/Fournier/Grimes and 5 firsts for Mitchell. We instead traded that for OG and Bridges. I’d do that trade 10 times out of 10.

I was told we are going to be a draft lottery team in 2031

People arguing that picks 20-29 are worthless are just seeing the world with blue and orange glasses.

It’s a good haul for the Nets and great use of draft capital by the Knicks

The more competent your front office gets, the less your future picks are worth
