NEW Lauri Markkanen TRADE Update: GSW In Bidding War With The Kings?! Golden State Warriors Rumors

what Jake fiser of Yahoo sports had to say about marketing and the market for his Services a lot of quality teams checking in on a guy who’s really developed well over the last couple of years fiser saying the Kings to my knowledge earlier this week were close to a deal I do think that based off of my conversations that I’ve had I can’t say any more than that but there were calls made to people around the NBA that would have indicated that talks have been legitimate there obviously the Golden State Warriors and the Sacramento Kings have a great rival in the Western Conference they met in the NBA playing tournament this past year the year before that an epic first round series that went the distant seven games before Steph Curry went off launching the Warriors into the second round I’m very thankful at least as of right now that lry marinan was not traded to the Sacramento Kings that would make them infinitely better and as far as the Warriors Markin and Buzz remember what we talked about the other day from Brian WI horist saying that the Warriors are interested in him you had Monty P of NBC Sports Bay Area saying the Warriors trying to go all in on lri marinan and then there’s Tony Jones of the athletic on the Markin in front adding on top of what Jake fiser had to say that the Kings very interested in him Sacramento has what the Kings think is a strong offer on the board for Utah and as for what the Rival Kings have in the chamber they have to match salary they have to send Utah some viable pieces as far as player capital and or draft capital in order to get a deal done because this would signal a rebuild for Danny a and the Jazz and they’re not going to be a free agent hotspot because who wants to go to Utah outside of Kyle filipowski Harrison Barnes Kevin herder Trey LS Keon Ellis and then a couple of first round picks in 2027 2028 202 29 2030 and 2031 the NBA rule is you can’t package back-to-back years of your own first round picks and if you got the Kyle filipowski joke good job by you my take on this potential trade here Jonathan kaminga has more current production and upside than any player that the Sacramento Kings could offer in a deal so while the Kings very interested in lry marinin and the Jazz might like the trade off offers that Sacramento can put on the table it’s all up to Golden State and golden state has not been willing to include Jonathan kaminga in a trade they’re bullish on his talent and they must think that he can develop into a top tier player borderline Superstar borderline Allstar and in the last 44 games played of the season last year this was before and after the Steve Kerr meeting in which before Curr and kaminga not on the same page after that kaminga started to play a little bit more as you see the uptick minutes from 22.1 to 29.7 he started to play a lot more and with that he got more confidence in the production skyrocketed and the Warriors look at that half season sample size almost literally and they say well Jonathan kaminga in nearly 30 minutes per night young player who has a lot of development still to take place averaged 18 points per game 5 and a half rebounds shot 54% from the the floor and 36% from three the Jazz might look at that and say if you want Lori marinan you have to trade as Jonathan kaminga because they are somewhat similar players if kaminga can fulfill his potential and round out that form of his potential as for the Warriors trade assets Jonathan kaminga leading the charge again more than what the Sacramento Kings have to offer you might have to match some salary here as well Andre WI you throw him into that deal maybe Moses Moody a shooter who has some defensive ability Gary pyton the second he can knock down the three guard multiple positions good athlete just never healthy and just like the Kings have those picks loaded up the Warriors have some picks in the chamber as well 20 25 26 27 28 29 and 231 so the Warriors could hold on to those picks and obviously that helps them rebuild on the Fly they could trade them away if they’re trying to maximize Steph Curry still playing Peak basketball out of the teams with Lori Markin and interest I do think and this is an unbiased take that golden state has the best package to offer you could give the Utah Jazz Jonathan kaminga if they trade lri Markin in a way who’s an All-Star player who can score at all three levels has good size and is an okay Defender you want a player back who has that All-Star type of of ability who’s going to be your next franchise guy who you could see molding into a top Echelon type of player and that is Jonathan kaminga if you are the Utah Jazz now coming up next we do have a Lui marinan trade proposal what the Warriors could surrender and give up in order to really move the needle for this team and probably appease Steph Curry who might be looking at the dubs right now saying we’re not as good as we were and I’m 36 years old remaining years left in my Prime I need another star and Lor marinin can be that guy will he Force the Warrior’s hand that’s a potential Story down the road that we might be talking about happy 4th of July by the way which Warrior would win a hot dog eating contest I have a feeling a lot of people are going to drop Draymond Green down there if you have an upset pick let us know in the spirit of Fourth of July have some among the plethora of first round picks that the Warriors have and then two first round pick swaps as well so that’s a pretty good package for Lori Markin him he has missed a lot of time he is on an expiring contract but this would be the thought for golden state is that you’re trying to capitalize on Steph Curry still playing really well because the western conference right now is loaded and you simply need need some more star power the Jazz would control the Warriors future but if marinan is the number one target you do what it takes aggressive businesses win whether it’s in Corporate America whether it’s in professional sports and the Warriors as we know they’ve been aggressive in years past going after Kevin Durant making the trade for Andre Iguodala making some other moves that would be deemed as aggressive and if the Warriors want to win and field a competitive basketball team and Lori marinan is their number one guy do what you got to do to bring the seven-footer to the Bay Area he’s a seven-footer with the career three-point percentage of 37.5% Allstar in 2023 most improved player in 2023 I think think he’s still tapping into his potential and obviously Utah reluctant to trade him as they pursued a co-star in Mel Bridges but they didn’t land bridges and that could have since changed numbers the last two years again games played a little bit of an issue right 66 two years ago and then 55 this past year but the numbers really do check out from a three-level scoring standpoint contested shots he’s able to hit them for a big he has a really really quick release and the development that has taken place goes to show you he’s been in the lab putting in that work because it ain’t nothing but work marketed Advanced shooting numbers catch and shoot threes 41.8% going to have those opportunities on this Warriors team now that Buddy heeld is on the dubs so can you imagine Steph Curry buddy heeld Lori marinan interesting offense and the offense last year lackluster and mundane Corner three-point numbers 43.4% above the break threes 39% 3 point attempt percentage rate 49.3% and then the true shooting number is very good at 63.1% so we pop this trade Lauri is only 27 and a proven all star and a proven leader (if you ever seen him play on his national team or Utah he's a great team leader/teammate). If we're talking about winning now, i would add in kuminga to get Lauri and make the trade.

We need to acquire Lauri Markkenan and I know people don’t want to hear this but I’m willing to trade Kuminga for him.
He can do everything Kuminga can do, except he’s bigger and more experienced.
Think about it, If both players were not in our team and we had to bring one of them in, who would you choose? Are you choosing the athletic 7 footer who shoots well and has more experienced, or are you choosing a 6’7 player with potential but is still in his raw phase?
Not only can Lauri shoot well but he can also turn his back and bump his way closer to the basket to get an easy bucket. This fixes the issue we had last season where other teams would go on runs and we couldn’t answer because no one can get an easy bucket because they can’t shoot over bigs.
I think we’re just attached to Kuminga because he’s homegrown but Lauri is a better player.
