Pistons draft RON HOLLAND

W Pistons the first pick of the NBA draft so far that I could wholeheartedly actually I like start number two but I guess the second pick so far of this draft were I could be really excited about for the team and I think the Pistons made a great pick here with Ron Holland at number five he was a guy that I think at some mock drafts he wasn’t even in the lottery which I couldn’t understand because I watched um film of every player that was projected to go in the first round and it was two players in this draft that just from watching them not even seeing what they’re doing just as soon as you turn it on guys that just jump off the screen to you athletically what they’re doing what they look like and that was alexar and then that’s Ron Holland and this is a guy at number five that makes a lot of sense in a draft like this and for one you get the guy that just visually as an athlete in terms of his body his size the way he moves he jumps off the screen but you also get some real production to back up the decision you get a guy that was averaging 19 half points in the G League which it’s not the G league isn’t as hard as um like most of the top overseas leagues to scor don’t get me wrong but the g- league isn’t been somewhere where guys just go in there and put up crazy numbers like it’s like overtime Elite or something it’s definitely some real competition in the g- league you’re playing some grown men he gave him 19 and a half almost seven rebounds about three assists so he’s got a well-rounded game and he could really get up he attacks the rim hard the only downside is this guy doesn’t shoot and after drafting assar Thompson it could be a little risky to draft another guy that couldn’t shoot threes but part of it is he just took bad threes and hopefully would you get him in your team um he won’t take these off the dribble threes or contested threes but he’s a guy that shot 73% from the free throw line so it’s not like he has no hopes of shooting whatsoever a lot of it is he just took some pull-up dribble pull-up threes that he definitely should not take in the NBA he should be sticking to three points to three-pointers two the catch and shoot once and fitwise for the Pistons it’s actually probably Terri just because of that’s like the one thing that they really lack in their young guys they don’t have shooters from Kate Cunningham who’s an okay shooter Ivy who’s not a great shooter Oar Thompson who can’t shoot Isaiah to Stewart who kind of can shoot for a big but not amazing um that’s the one thing that they lack so fitwise it’s not perfect but like I said with the rockets taking shepher number three I’m not a big fan of in the top five going based off fit I want to take the swing and maybe Ron Holland’s a bust maybe his shot gets worse maybe he a making is no good but if I could get an 18yearold that was giving me 19 and a half points that’s a crazy athlete um that has some signs of being able to shoot a little at least he can shoot free throws I think that that’s a great draft pick for them u i haded my notes going into this that it would be the steal of the draft that was when I was thinking he was going to be drafted outside the lottery or late Lottery but I still think it’s a great pick at number five um and it can be great on defense it seems like he works very hard on that end too which a lot of guys that go to the G League are kind of there to just show off and don’t really do that he seems like he has that dog in him he really seems like he has it all other than a three-point shot which like I said he’s 18y old years old and if you just put him in a situation where Ivy and uh Kate Cunningham are drawing the defense just hit the open one I have more faith in him than in Oar Thompson that he’ll be able to do that consistently for them next year so I like this pick for the Pistons especially seeing as with their young guys they’ve yet to find one that like you’re clearly building around Kate Cunningham eh maybe but you still need more highlevel guys you can’t just take guys off a fit yet and this may be the complete of your real core in terms of your young guys this could end up being the guy that with Duren and Kate Cunningham could form a big three and then you’re working on building around those guys and seeing which other pieces work around them because Ron Holland could be an absolute stud I think it’s a great pick he’s got a well-rounded game jumps off the screen in terms of as athleticism one of the younger players in the draft Big W for the Pistons probably my favorite pick so far let me know what y’all think though drop a comment hit that like and then subscribe please yes sir
