Source Article by NBCS Chicago's KC Johnson – "Agent Rich Paul pushes back on Zach LaVine slander"
By trading for Josh Giddey to play alongside White, the Bulls appear poised to start a backcourt for the future. The mutual understanding between Bulls management and LaVine’s representation that a change of scenery is best for all parties seems the prudent path.
The Bulls have presented upwards of 15 proposals to teams over the previous weeks. League sources indicated that the Kings and Warriors showed the most interest, although in the latter case, they’ve since made moves that likely signal another direction.
Interested teams will likely want an additional asset attached to take on LaVine’s three years and $138 million. The longer this situation takes to resolve, the less value the Bulls could receive in return.
Warriors have acquired 1) Waived CP3, 2) S&T Klay away, and signed De'Anthony Melton, Kyle Anderson, and Buddy Hield in the offseason. Probably what he means by "mad moves that likely signal another direction" aka "go for Lauri"

I think MDJ is just making safe decisions that’s why he didn’t bite when the Bulls offered him a package. I still think Lavine is on his list of backup target players, but you don’t want Lavine to be the first on the list of players you wanna get and trade for given his bloated contract and underwhelming performance.

Oh they’re DESPARATE desperate
It’s possible we go back in for him if all else fails, but I feel like Buddy Hield signing makes it a lot less likely. We need shooting but we need size as well.
I would take Lavine despite his injury issues if he wasn’t making 40 mil a year 😂. Because when healthy, he is a baller.
Bulls should’ve offered two 1sts
I am sort of surprised we didn’t take the Lavine deal- he obviously provides instant offense and would have been an immediate path to giving us structure.
But it seems like MDJ’s patience could pay off when you look at the markets for Lauri and Ingram, who are better fits for us.
Why would we want Lavine when we already have so much spread on the 2 position. Why not go for Vuc instead?
I quite literally think the LaVine option is dead for Warriors at this point…
The team is hardcapped at 1st apron and has 14 players now. To get LaVine, they’d have to trade Wiggins + Looney + GP2, which saves them ~$1m in total, but then would have to fill up those two roster spots right away. One could be Quinten Post, but I don’t know if they’d have the money to fill up the last spot (which isn’t allowed).
I know all three of those guys struggled here last year, but based on past performance, I have to believe that losing all three for LaVine would be a step back in on-court value *and* roster flexibility. What would the Bulls even have to give the Warriors to make that worth it? Two first round picks? Why wouldn’t the Bulls just suck it up and keep him in that instance?
Even if we don’t get lauri. We aren’t getting lavine. We have Melton and Hield now.
The Bulls front office is atrocious.
In my best Stephen A. voice, “let me remind you this is the same front office that insisted the Warriors include Kuminga plus 1st round picks when they inquired about Caruso and Drummond.”
They are not serious. LaVine is a good player but the Bulls know damn well this will end with them attaching a first round pick and maybe TWO just to get off that radioactive contract.
Bulls spamming trade requests like I do on 2k
It’s wild to me that the Bulls are having *this* hard of a time getting a team to take Lavine (a process, mind you, that’s been going on for seasons at this point) and yet, this sub STILL is pro-trading for him. He’s a walking red flag and this sub is like red flags, what? Where? Lol I don’t get it 😂
His contract just isn’t tenable under the new CBA, otherwise I’m sure someone should be happy enough to overpay him.
With CP3 and Klay gone, I don’t see how we do the salary match. Wiggins, OK, but with him we’re only halfway to LaVine’s salary.
If we could work a Wiggs for Vucevic trade, I could get behind that.
If Caruso was also included in the deal it would have been worth it. As it stands this doesn’t make sense.
