I will say this – at the time I think it was a reasonable – if optimistic – projection that Tobi would be the 2.5 option on a championship team. Jo was Jo and people didn’t know Ben would become Ben. It became apparent pretty quickly this was a bad projection and that cost the Sixers a lot of time and money, though I think missing out on Ben was more significant tbh. Still kinda wild that he made almost as much money as Klay in his career though.
