San Antonio Spurs Trading For Lauri Markkanen??

yo what’s going on guys it’s Houston Sports Talk Back another video day and today we’re going to be talking about the San Antonio Spurs potentially trading for Lori Marin and I’d love to see the San Antonio’s first trade for Lorie marinin there’s been a bunch of trade rumors popping up recently about Lori marinin potentially getting traded and you know honestly I think the best team I sorry I think the team that has the best chance to land him you know is the San Antonio Spurs four teams that are interested are his original draft team the innesa ter wolves the Golden State Warriors the San Antonio Spurs who we’re talking about right now and then the final team is the Sacramento Kings I think the Spurs have the best assets with draft picks and young players to acquire Lori marinin Lori marinin is going to be on his last year of his contract before he enters free agency and I’m going to go over what I believe the Spurs would have to give up to land him and what he has done the last couple Seasons so I think the Spurs would have to send away Kellen Johnson Blake Wesley and multiple draft picks I’m thinking two first round picks and two second round picks I think San Antonio would send a 2025 first round pick via Atlanta 2025 second round pick via Chicago and then the Spurs 2026 first round pick and then their 2025 second round pick uh for Lori marinan that’s not a that’s not a bad you know compensation yes the draft picks might be a little heavy but you know the player the players are kind of weak Kellin Johnson yes might be a very solid player um I think he’s I think he has a good future I always have thought that Kellin Johnson is a little underrated I mean he averaged 16 points per game five rebounds per game three assists per game but lloy Markin had a has had two monster seasons and you could consider to be an All-Star or All-Star type of player because he has been an All-Star in the last uh couple Seasons being an All-Star uh he’s one most improved player he’s one he’s he’s he’s one the most improved player and he’s been an All-Star for the Utah Jazz well let’s go over what he’s done in the last two seasons this past season 55 Games 55 starts 33 minutes per game shot 48% from the floor 40% from three on eight attempts per game the most he’s ever shot in a season so this was his second best three-point percentage of his career in a season but the most attempts he’s ever shot in a season from three he averaged 23.2 points per game with 8.2 rebounds per game one steal per game a half a block per game with two assists per game 2022 23 season he was an All-Star and one most improved player of the year 66 games 6 66 St s 34.4 minutes per game shot 40 or sorry for nearly 50% from the floor basically 50% from the floor uh 39% from three on 7.7 attempts per game 26 points per game was an All-Star and one most improved with two assists per game nine rebounds per game nearly one steal and nearly one block per game so yes he is an expiring contract in the next couple season you know after this past season uh is over after the 2024 25 season is over but he Aver a 25 points per game with 8.4 rebounds per game in the last two seasons and you add him next to Chris Paul and Victor wi Bama you have wi B you you have to deal with win Bama and laer marinan and Chris Paul’s the guy and Stefon Castle are the two guys to get them the basketball I’m sorry the league might be in trouble uh if you put Chris Paul with those two guys Lori marinan and Victor W Bama the Spurs are going to be trouble next year and they’re going to be really hard to face uh with Lori Markin who I believe is already 7 foot or if not he’s 611 um and obviously W Bama’s 74 yeah yeah Lori margan 7 foot an amazing three-point shooter so with with having two seven foot you know guys wama who’s over 7 foot at 73 74 um who could shoot the ball um and also very good defensively theyd be a monster but then they also have a guy like Chris Paul who’s one of the best facilitators ever play this game who who has given them the basketball and also a rookie like Stefan Castle who look I’m not a big fan of him scoring the basketball he’s not a good scorer he’s not or he’s not a he’s not a bad scorer but he’s not a great score and he’s a terrible three-point shooter but he’s a good facilitator as well I think Chris Paul will he’ll definitely learn some things from Chris Paul but what I am trying to say is if you put those two guys together Lori Marin and and Victor wenyama and they have Chris Paul and Stefon Castle to get them the ball as the as the you know as the back court and then they have other players in their roster like Devon vasel Jeremy soan who doesn’t have to worry about playing poon anymore it could be the Ford he is Trey Jones Jenny Osman this is a very solid Spurs team that should be a playin or playoff team if Wim Bama takes the right year two jump with adding in Lorie Markin and Chris Paul uh this this Spurs team would be a great team and I’m not going to call them a contender in the west if they add in Lori but I’m going to say that if they had Lori they’re definitely a playin playoff type of team in the West L
