Because this worked so well with Z and LaRavia…. Maybe we should have waited and saw how he produces. Then again locking up guys for cheap is a major upside if they pan out.

Getting players on these contracts instead of unsigned free agents gives a lot more team control and have limited risk with the team options built in. Players get more upfront and if it doesn’t work they can be cut before it becomes a long term concern.
