KG took the whole #USABMNT on 1-on-1 back in 2000 😤 – NBA History (@NBAHistory) on X

Who would do this in 2024 and why do you think Jaylen Brown would win if he would’ve been selected?

He’s bringing the ball up from past half court again Kidd as a 7 footer. Impressive stuff.

I’ll always remember trading for him man…the NBA Live game the year before he was the only 99 overall player. I was freaking out as a kid lol

He had such a special blend of size, skill and athleticism that not many players have. And on top of that he wanted it. KG would have eaten the current NBA alive if he played in this era.

Why isn’t Jaylen on team USA again? Fuckin shame

Young ‘Uns don’t know just how complete KG was. He would be even better in this New Era too.

That’s against Grant Hill, Vince Carter, Jason Kidd, and Shareef Abdur-Rahim if anyone needed to know.

KG was a legitimate goat-level player. He would be successful in any era, fit with any teammates, and succeed in any style of play. Criminally underrated even though people have him in the top 20.

I watched both of my 7 foot cousins get cooked in open gym by KG. I couldn’t stop laughing because they felt the same way I did when I played against them.

Absolutely kills me that so much of this man’s career was wasted in Minnesota

I will take KG on any all time team, prime kg was a monster. If he had played for the spurs people would talk about him instead of Duncan

KG was an absolute unicorn. Dude was so good that MJ gave KG a run when he was at Farragut. KG talked about it on his show.

It’s crazy to imagine what the 2024 Celtics would’ve been like with 2008 KG on it — but with KG encouraged to shoot between 5 to 7 3’s per game. He could always make those — but it was never something he was asked to do or make a weapon of because of the era he played in.

Considering that the Celtics won 64 games, maybe they would’ve won 70? 73 games? That doesn’t seem like an exaggeration. It would’ve been overkill and the salt from every other team’s fans would’ve piled higher than Mt. Everest.
