Detroit Pistons Sign Simone Fontecchio To A 2-Year, $16M Deal
yo what’s going on guys and yes Simone fonio got himself the contract the two-year deal 16 million for the 6’9 shooter who also is a good Defender and rebounder he’s going to be staying in Detroit for a little bit longer now they have Malik Beasley Simone fonio and Tobias Harris all guys who can play next to K Cunningham Jay NY and assar Thompson and Jaylen Duren it’s just fantastic Cuda to them I think this was a deal that they I mean we we were expecting them to bring back Simone for a while now as he was somebody that even the prior regime was a big fan of and why wouldn’t you I mean this guy is an absolute animal and he’s had a good work ethic through and through so for me I think he’s just somebody that if you’re a Pistons fan you’re excited that you guys are keeping somebody that yeah I know Utah brought him over but he’s definitely someone that you guys fostered and gave an opportunity and he really shined he was 28 years old he average like 10 and half points four rebounds and shot like 46% from the field this past season so it was really really good numbers for a guy like that I want to hear your guys’ thoughts what did you guys expect from simonia were you guys as surprised by what he was able to do this season I personally I wasn’t you know necessarily surprised by simonia cuz I knew you I remember when the Utah Jazz brought him over their whole thing was like oh the reason why we signed him was in our opinion he was the best remaining free agent like two years ago so I I think it just goes to show that they’re in a situation where they believe that Simone Fu again in my opinion was probably one of the best if not the best remaining forward on the market and he averaged 15 and 12 points 42.6% s from three in the 16 games he played for the Pistons after arriving from Utah so I think this was a good deal Tran langon notice noticing Talent when it’s available and again like why not keep Simone in town for at least another season I mean worst comes the worse you’re trading the guy for a to a contending team that will maybe use him again draft a trade asset as comes the worst is he doesn’t pan out and stays here but he’s still 28 he can help this team get to the play in and yeah I think it’s it’s a good idea like it’s better than not having him there letting him walk for nothing and plus it’s such a cheap deal I’m surprised he didn’t do a three-year deal but I guess he might want like to have the opportunity to go back to Europe if he cares to do so when he’s 30 but besides that yeah good deal now does that mean starting lineup Kate Cunningham Malik Beasley Simone fonio tose Harris Jaylen Duren or t Tim Hardway junr in there I feel like that’s not terrible what do you guys think let me know your thoughts

I couldn't believe that they signed him for that cheap of a contract! Simone is a REALLY good player. GO PISTONS!!!
Glad the Italian Stallion is back for the Stones. I’m curious how this plays into the cap space and his early bird rights.
