Detroit Pistons Agree To Deal With Malik Beasley!

Tran Lon is adding snipers to this Pistons roster man so according to Shams the Pistons and Malik Beasley have agreed on a one-year 6 million plus Dollar Deal Beasley most recently played with the Milwaukee Bucks last season where he shot the second best percentage from three in his 8-year NBA career at 41.3% his career best was in the 2019 2020 season where he shot 42.6% with the Minnesota Timberwolves and his career average Ted about 38.5% which instantly makes him one of the best Shooters on his team his worst shooting season was his rookie season where he shot about 32% but after that he only shot under 35% once so he’s a very reliable shooter Malle stands at about 6’4 187 lbs and he’s 27 years old so he’s right in the prime of his career this makes things interesting for the Pistons and gives them even more options it’s clear that the Pistons priority this offseason was adding shooting as it should have been the Pistons were one of the worst three-point shooting teams last season and they’ve addressed that by adding Tobias hair Tim Hardway and Nam Malik Beasley were all capable with three-point Shooters so what does this mean for the Pistons cat space it hasn’t been determin if the Pistons will decide to use their 25 million roughly in cap space or the $8 million mid-level exception that they have if they use the mid-level exception they’ll have about 1 or two million remaining from that after signing Beasley and they still have their 25 or so million available to make a move for potential starting power forward or they could split it and look to add maybe a backup big man and maybe a backup point guard per perhaps somebody like tyus Jones Ty Jones made about $14 million last season with the Washington Wizards and he’s somebody who I would actually love to have on this team especially if we can get them around 10 to 15 million a year I wonder if the Pistons though who haven’t yet signed Beasley are waiting to see if they can use that 25 or so million of their cap entirely on one more big fish to bring in as a starting power forward I think that could be why they haven’t disclos the details of Beasley’s deal yet because they might be trying to see who they could possibly land with that cap space which is separate from the $8 million midlevel exception that they have so they have options so now when Malik Beasley start my initial thought is no I still believe the Pistons are going to roll with K Cunningham and Jaden iy to start the regular season but this move does signal to me that the Pistons are creating competition at that two guard spot which I love to see so we got to wait and see but either way I love what the Pistons are doing I know K Cunningham is probably grinning from ear to ear cuz it’s been well documented how the lack of shooting around him has put a cap on how effective he can really be so it’s really encouraging to see Tran Landing doing right by a star player and surrounding him with Players whose skill set fits his more evidence of that is the Pistons trying to potentially bring in buddy heel to Detroit another sharp shooter and even though he went to Golden State it’s clear what the agenda is for trer Landon question for you do you think this signing affects the starting lineup in any way what does this mean for Tim Hardway Jr who was just traded to the Pistons a few weeks ago whom many thought would start alongside K Cunningham also how do you think the Pistons should use their remaining cap space should they use their 25 million roughly in cap to sign Beasley or should they use the mid-level exception and then use their cap separately to bring in a starting power forward or maybe bring in a backup power forward and a backup point guard let me know and as always Detroit verse everybody [Music] peace 2K breaking by Michael J bringing Glory Days Back to the Future Michael J he’s way ahead every his time he’s got to play yeah let off by none other than his brother Canon and this is more than a game Mr passion they see working J me on the way that through the air Detroit shot and it doesn’t really matter if you love him like him hate him that boy is Bo in this D

  1. Great signing. Trajan is giving Cade some room with these additions. I hope Paul Reed and Tyus Jones are next.

  2. Great pickup for the Pistons! They just need a decent backup center and maybe another point guard for their depth chart. Good moves Trajan Langdon!

  3. I'm really curious on how the rotation works now. Does Ivey come off the bench now? I don't like the Tyus Jones signing because we already have so many guards as it is. Also Tyus wants a starting PG role and he's not getting that in Detroit. Just go for guys like Dorian Finney Smith, Wendell Carter Jr, and JaVale McGee.

  4. The goal this season is to find out whether Cade, Ivey, and Duren can thrive together. If thats the case then Ivey and Duren should start. There is nothing gained by starting either Beasley or THJ. They are not longterm investments Detroit must find out if core can work. A true evaluation can finally occur with these additions. They finally have a coach that will be committed to development. The starting lineup should still be Cade, Ivey, Fontecchio, Harris, and Duren. Bench unit THJ, Beasley, STU, Ausar and Holland. Detroit probably needs to find a backup PG.

  5. Beasley started 77 games for the bucks and shot 41% from 3 on over 6 attempts per game and we got him for room exception 6 million a year ? Awesome 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽

  6. Lauri is an impossible dream, Bridges doesnt want to come to Detroit… Ingram is my best shot but i dont know if he wants to come here…im starting to believe that most nba players dont like the city and with our last years results…

  7. Exciting times. Langdon doijg a solid job all round so far. Feels like the foundation of the team is finally solid. Itll be interesting to see how bickerstaff handles the egos and distributes the minutes.
Still hopeful we can get involved in a 3 team trade for a solid backup big and point guard.

  8. We can't see the future so we Don't Know if these moves will work out, but Langdon's moves make since. Even the Holland pic makes more sense with Simone resigning as well

  9. I don’t think we starting yo boy Ivey it don’t make sense Malik and THJ shoots and play better defense I hope we get a back up center and let Stew play back up PF honestly

  10. Might be best to get Reggie or Payne. I like Jones, but they need a center now. I wonder if Ron plays much at all now.

  11. Just 6 months ago Beasley was expressing how important playing time and an opportunity to start was to him when choosing a free agent destination.
He's obviously betting on himself with this one year deal and he definitely expects to play significant minutes, if not start. Regardless of what we think I'm certain Malik thinks he's better than Jaden, and so does THJ.
I don't see a world where both of these guys are happily coming off the bench behind Ivey. Not unless Jaden plays significantly better than last year.
