Yeah I’m sure his decision had nothing to do with the absurd amount of money OKC offered /S
GoldenBoyRecords
I think it just showed to an extent his ceiling was going to be capped here because of not having the ability to expand or showcase more of his skillset.
GorillaFig
I think they meant an expanded roll* of cash
Yankeeknickfan
The expanded role being $11 million more dollars per year, and the advantage of early bird rights
JNerdGaming
poor journalism. he was already the starter here. it was literally just about money.
HmmmHelloFriends
They’re gonna let him shoot 3s for a month like we did two years ago and then he’ll be told to stop again
NYdude777
Centers should be rebounding and playing defense not shooting 3’s.

For all of you saying this is BS and it was all about money, you have to understand there is a human element to every decision. Of course being able to touch the ball more and make decisions from the high post ala Jokic and Sengun would be more appealing. Of course being given the green light to shoot from 3 is appealing. Would these points have mattered if it didn’t came with the bag? Probably not but this pitch certainly resonated with iHart and I hope he makes the most of it.
jbrunsonfan
They are going to let him shoot threes and Thibs is going to get shit for it. Then people are going to tell Thibs that he should let Mitch Precious and our backups shoot 3s.
Nicholas-Kopis
He has to say positive things about a different role on his new team. His game grew enormously under Thibs.
Fungmar
how could they possibly expand his role more than what he was doing here?
Saucy_Totchie
Come on now. Thunder were paying him $30M/year when the Knicks could only do $18M. No need for this lmao.
2drunkman
Thunder wooed Isaiah Hartenstein away from Knicks with EXTRA 💰.
Nuff said.
MarvinWebster40
Expanded bag (which we are all behind)
The-Son-Of-Brun
Extended roll of Johnny Cash.
SuspectDevice61
Hysterical. Imagine how much he would have been paid if he was actually very good.

Nah they wooed him away with 12 mil a year more in salary

30 mil helps too
OldJewNewAccount
Yeah he is going to be a double super special starter rather than a regular starter.
Additional_Silver749
Can we move on. We’re talking about the probable 15th best center in the league here..he’s not on the knicks anymore… WE DONT CARE.
Shot_Acanthaceae3150
And expanded $
HoyaDestroya33
Once they see Chet at 4 isn’t as effective as Chet as 5, he’ll regret choosing the Thunder once they cut his playing time and he’ll be a glorified backup to Chet. The money will help though.

This is just filler stuff.
The money is #1.
