if you’re a Knicks fan and think you gave up too many first round picks for male Bridges consider this Brooklyn had the leverage they knew M Bridges was a perfect fit for New York and New York knows to beat Boston they need more Elite Wing players right so you probably give up one more pick than youd love to but what is a draft pick in the NBA mid to late first round it’s almost exclusively a developmental draft Brooklyn had some Leverage Nicks had a need I’m all for did I get the player you know Minnesota gave up a ton for Rudy goar they’re really good the team that got all the picks isn’t not everything is a 401k if you’re good and you want to get really good you got to give up a few picks what are those picks what’s the hit rate on those picks I know the hit rate on male Bridges is 100%

    I agree ; it’s a good trade, Knicks still have assets. We just picked up 5 second rounders which are going to be much more valuable with this new 2 tier cap construction. (Just think about it for a little) for most teams outside the lottery a second round pick will be more valuable. Bridges is on a great contract . Deuce McBride is a valuable asset, Julius is on a good contract. The only rough contract is OG . This is where I get a little scared as a Knick fan because he’s great if he comes back healthy but needs to come back and return to an all nba defensive form. If not; I could see how a contract like the one we gave OG comes back to bite us in the you know what. Ik it was an impossible situation for Knicks , Leon rose taught his son Sam rose too well. OG had us by the basketballs.

    The Gobert trade set the market. If your an almost championship team, and you can trade those picks on a non all star who’s elite in their role, you do it now. Minnesota did it and now the Knicks

    Amazing how when NY gives up 4 1sts for a role player it’s a great deal, but when Minnesota gives up 4 1sts for a 4 time DPOY it’s the worst trade in history?

    Plus the Knicks got the Nets 2025 2nd round pick, which will probably be 31-35 overall, which will be a cheap salary as well. Also Bridge's is on a team friendly deal at 23 mil per year for the next two years

    The only way the knicks gave up too many A draft picks is if they gave away for the wrong guy and they didn't, And I that's what they were for.

    I very frequently agree with CC but he hit this right on the head. The chances of any of those first round picks being anything significant is slim & none & MB is entering his prime years. I can’t worry about the 2031 pick the Knicks gave up in this trade because that’s almost a decade away.
