Realistically, what do we think Rob averages in his rookie year?

So glad we have 2 shifty bucket getters now Plus Naz ReidšŸ«”

10pts sounds right, hoping he puts up an efficient 15 and 5 assists and by mid season we are asking if Rob should be starting and Mike should be coming off the bench.

10 ppg probably? If he can match his college averages that would be really amazing, but as long as he contributes here and there and is efficient from 3 we will be fine.

12-15 pts is a wild expectation. I would guess 7-9 and maybe at some point he has a month long stretch where he shows elevated scoring. Itā€™s incredibly tough for rookie point guards, especially undersized ones

If he can average 12-15 off the bench then the pick is a huge win for us

  5. Most games, he’ll probably go out and get 6-7, but I can see him going off for 20 a couple of times.

7-10 is a safe choice. Wouldnā€™t be shocked at 12. Scoring 13PPG especially off the bench in college as a freshman is pretty rare

6-9 points. Will have a couple microwave games where he gets 18-22. Some spot starts where he he flirts with a double double. Heā€™ll likely have just as many 1-8 nights too. Heā€™s a streaky volume guy.

  8. 8 points on inefficient shooting..think his game takes time to find

  9. SeanKilpatrickFan

8.2 points, 1.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists per game

  10. 8ppg with a high of 34 on a random starter injury night

    If heā€™s 8-12 Iā€™m happy, anything beyond that ecstatic/shocked

I think close to 10 ppg and he becomes bff’s with ANT.

  13. ImmediateWeb9

    10 pts, 3 rebs, 4 asts, 2 TOs, 1 stl, .1 blk, 45 fg%, 38 3pt%, 80 FT% in 24 mins of play

I think I will answer it like this. If he comes in and is ready to play his role he could be a ROY candidate and remind people of Damon Staudamire. Smaller guard with instant impact but probably not as many points or minutes but letā€™s say 12-15 ppg. If this happens the Wolves are in amazing shape.

Now lets say he struggles some but still shows he should be on the floor and gets good playing time letā€™s say 8-10 points which would still be great.

8 ppg unless he starts taking the load off Conley significantly toward the end of the year.

The more interesting stat to me is his assist/turnover ratio, and how good his assists per 48 look. In 2-3 years when he’s our 30 mpg PG, assuming he doesn’t bust, I think we can pencil him in for 18-20 points. The real question is whether he can orchestrate an offense that involves the whole team, and can he do it without turnovers.

I think most of these expectations are wild. I think he’ll have more DNP-CD’s than not for the year. Small rookie point guards are almost never good and even when they put up decent counting stats it’s usually on very bad teams with horrible efficiency. I just don’t see how he plays major minutes unless they’re willing to give up a top four seed for his development.

Maybe I’ll shocked and he’s the rarest of small rookie pg’s but I doubt it.

I could see like 9ish ppg if he gets solid minutes off the bench, and occasional games where he goes off for 15 pts
