City officials have been piecing together an elaborate plan to turn the southeast corner of downtown into a sports and entertainment mecca. The code name for the plan reflects its aspirations: Project Marvel.

Sounds like they want to build an adjacent arena complex, like the Battery in Atlanta. That would be pretty cool, if possible.

Sounds like they better stop racking up future lottery picks and start trading for players that want to win now if they want us to pay for their shiny new building. That tank shyt is dead.

Sounds awesome. I hope they find ways to provide more parking and perhaps light rail to get people in and out for games. Just a thought but maybe a bridge over the 37 connecting to the Alamodome and it’s parking lots.

Great now tickets are going to be even more ridiculous

  5. I’m curious if UTSA and its future in the Alamodome are in any way involved/linked. Obviously UTSA doesn’t have the funds on its own, but a partnership of some kind with the Spurs facilities or something adjacent could be interesting.

It won’t happen, this city hates progress and the residents here are poor. Time to move to Austin
