staff one of the last times that you and I did this you told me that it didn’t even feel close to the Last Dance for the two of you clay and Draymond when did that change um I mean we talked about it a lot just in the sense of the journey that we’ve been on obviously me since ‘ 09 uh Clay’s a 2011 Draft Draymond and then when coach came in 2014 and what’s happened since um we would have loved to maintain you know the core and finish out together uh but we obviously understand the league and things change and you know having clay head on to Dallas it’s it’s tough It’s uh it’s something that I never imagin would be a reality but you know you want him to be happy you want him to be able to enjoy the game of basketball it does suck leaving losing clay and there’s no no two ways around it so um you have to be able to celebrate what we accomplished but then be able to move on when the season starts next year it’s going to be really weird um and I know we’re all going to have that date circled when he comes back to Chase and that will be one of the strangest most emotional nights of all of our careers for sure [Music] [Applause] [Music] NBA is

    This is called saving face. Warriors did klay dirty , Klay took less than what the warriors offered because it wasn't about money. They dragged him all year long , made him play knowing draymond,poole,wiggins,kerr,curry all got 4 year extentions. Klay waited than waited more when warriors tried to get Paul george. So klay left, why wait for an org that doesn't want to sign you.They let draymond destroy there season, lose a 3-1 lead, lose kd, knockout poole, get suspended twice after getting the 100m contract. Warriors ORG is done

    In a few years, I could see Klay signing with the Warriors for his final season so he can go out together with Steph and Dray.

    Klay is a bum. He got an extra 100m to rehab AND we couldn't sign anyone. And chose not to replace him in the draft (we should have). And then not ONLY would he not take a pay cut, but he wouldn't even accept reality and take what he was worth. Only to sign a LESSER deal with a rival. Fuck Klay. Sorry. Not playing these dumb games.

    Klay’s my fav player. Grew up watching Kerr on Bulls.. and the splash brothers were truly truly special. Klay leaving is really sad. Makes me depressed just thinking about it. Steph is a great guy and teammate.

    If I was the owner, I would have kept him for life. In any possible capacity. Like a tenure contract.
    Same for Patrick Ewing for the Knicks. Same for GP in Seattle. There are faces that are associated in my mind to particular teams.
    If he can't deliver anymore as a player, he can contribute in other ways.
    But imagine this. He goes to Dallas and becomes a 20pts+ scorer again. And then wins it all again. Would love to see that…
