  1. he got everything. 4 yr max. player option at the end. trade kicker

We may have lost the SGA trade, but I’m glad we didn’t double down on a failed project and give this underperforming player such an absurd contract. The 76ers really have to go all in for 2024-2025, because this contract is going to be a disaster from Year 2 onwards.

What exactly does a trade kicker do for someone on a max contract anyway?

I thought trade kickers can’t get you over the max.

  4. It’s pretty crazy to give a max guy a trade kicker. You are giving him financial incentive to request a trade if the cap goes up.

The Sixers absolutely made the right move by signing him but woof, that’s one hell of a contract.

Can someone explain what a trade kicker is like I’m 10 years old

  7. apollyon_53

38 years old by the end of the contract. Not a lot of elite ballers at that age
