Did the Lakers ask their janitor to coach Summer League or something
we’re really going winless in Summer league
Disastrous first couple games. I guess to be expected? Hope we start to look somewhat organized in Vegas.
Not gonna judge the players but holy fuck how can you not be embarrassed by the “team” the Lakers trotted out this summer league 🤮
It’s Summer League. Two or three of the players are gonna maybe even get minutes if at all. Dalton probably for sure. Idk why yall being so harsh lmao.
Why is Buha pretending that summer league matters? They’re scrimmages with most players hoping to make the G League
Thanks Obama
We played terribly. Our shooting percentages were abysmal.
Knecht shot poorly but did show some good promise. His shots were largely within the flow of the offense and his 3’s were good looks that he normally hits, based on his college numbers. For that reason, I am not concerned about his poor 3 point shooting rn and think it should regress to the mean, especially over the course of an nba season.
Summer league shooting splits don’t mean much so not a massive indicator for what he will look like. Trae Young was trash in SL and panned out great in the nba while Kevin Knox was fantastic in SL but was a bust.
Knecht is yet to hit a mid range and that was a problem in college so he clearly needs to work on that a lot. He shouldn’t really shoot mid ranges in nba games and only attempt 3’s and shots near the hoop like layups and dunks. This should only change if he significantly imrpoves at mid range shooting in games.
He had a couple nice steals and showed a good finishing ability. That dunk he had was crazy.
Overall, he is showing the potential to serve as an immediate contributor for the team if they can use him correctly. He needs to have plays ran for him to create good looks on catch and shoot 3’s. The catch and shoot 3’s and driving the the rim when appropriate are what he should be focusing on.
A bunch of guys playing for themselves, a bunch of people in over their heads (including coaching staff), and there is no system in place (yet hopefully).
IDK I just see a bunch of players out there that are gonna have to learn other languages pretty soon.
Only like 3-4 guys that are hustling and really trying to fight for every loose ball, fight for every possession.

Woof that was…interesting
Really liked the little run we saw from Diarra in the 2nd half. Definitely an interesting body.
Knecht will be able to shoot better in a system and the people around him not being so ass
yall honestly care how this team does? 😂
Did Hinson play?
For a while I thought Hinson might get the first ever double double with points and fouls.
I really think some of yall should just not watch Summer League for your own sanity, if you’re gonna overreact like this
It’s summer league who cares
Less than ideal. It’s a meaningless summer league game but damn it sucks to see a blowout like that
Don’t think I’ve ever seen a team shoot 25% from the floor. Usually somebody manages to get hot.
For some context: Austin averaged 29.5 FG% with 25% from 3 in Summer League.
seeing why Knecht wasn’t drafted higher
Front office is a joke.
I don’t mind rookies shooting poorly during summer league.
But Maxwell Lewis going 0-8 is a REALLY bad look.
2nd years that make that jump to become starters or good role players should easily dominate.
I really hope Dalton doesn’t get the whole “shooter forgets how to shoot when they play for the Lakers” thing
To paraphrase allen iverson: summer league? We talkin bout summer league?
while some people are overreacting to summer league i think some people are underreacting. summer league is not necessarily about winning every game, it should be about teaching players schemes and sets they will potentially be running for the team that theyre playing for. so far the coaching has been completely detrimental to the players. even the announcers today pointed out how the warriors looked like a team that had actually been practicing for weeks. even if the players dont play well and the team loses it be nice to see the players being put in a positionto succeed
