The WORST TRADE in NBA HISTORY ๐Ÿšจ๐Ÿ˜‚

this is the worst trade in NBA history during the summer of 2019 Kawhi Leonard wanted to join the Los Angeles Clippers but he said he would only sign with the Clippers if they also brought in Paul George the Los Angeles Clippers had to give up Shay Gil just Alexander Doc Rivers the head coach of the Clippers at the time even said to Kawai are you sure I think Shay is going to be an amazing player it may take a year or two but I think you’re underestimating how good Shay is going to be the Thunder recognized how much leverage they had in this situation and they made the Los Angeles Clippers pay a steep price for Paul George the Thunder received sheay gilis Alexander danila ginari Trey man Jaylen Williams the Clippers 2024 unprotected first round pick a heat protected first round pick in 2025 and the Clippers unprotected 2026 first round pick but now the Clippers owe their next 2 years worth of draft picks to the Thunder and the Clippers are a significantly worse team than they were last year which is why a lot of clipper fans are saying that

Explore the fallout from what many are calling the worst trade in NBA history: Kawhi Leonard’s demand for Paul George led to the Los Angeles Clippers giving up a massive haul to the Oklahoma City Thunder in 2019. Doc Rivers, then Clippers’ head coach, warned of the consequences of losing Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, but the Clippers went ahead with the trade. Now, with depleted draft picks and a diminished team, are the Clippers regretting their decision?

  1. Stop saying itโ€™s the worst trade in nba history IK Shai is an mvp candidate now but when you look at the Clippers roster most of their impact players were at the backend of their prime (Lou Williams & Pat Bev etc) so it didnโ€™t really make sense for them to try to develop Shai and maybe get lucky on draft picks. Plus this trade was the only way they were going to get Kawhi and say what you want about his health but he is still a top 10 (arguably top 5) player in the league. And itโ€™s not like the Thunder have won a chip yet either.

  2. Real problem is Kawhi wanted to be the man, is his own city instead of joining AD and Lebron for 2-3 easy chips. All time blunder by Kawhi more then anyone

  3. The Thunder would of won that trade if it was SGA for PG13 straight up lol
Add Jalen Williams and whatever they got for Galineri and 2 more 1st rounders when they could be lottery ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ Woww

  4. I was upset that Leonard pulled that b.s with the lakers when to the clippers at the time. But looking back on it now. Shows god donโ€™t like ugly. Lakers went on won a chip. He and PG were already injured. Now they let PG walk for nothing instead trade him for somethingโ€ฆGreg out there somewhere rubbing his hands

  5. Doc rivers actually knew something good abt shai was gonna happen in the future and now heโ€™s one of the best players in the league, stupid trade overall okc is now becoming a dynasty ๐Ÿ˜‚

  6. Hindsight is always 2020 man. Two of those players didnโ€™t amount to anything, 2 turned into All Stars. It happens. You gotta take a swing tho.

  7. It's not a bad trade until shai and the thunder get beyond the second round. The clippers got five years of contention and a cf apprence. At the time pg was a MVP contender and kawhi was the best player in the world.

  8. This was at the time still the right move for the clippers. They got Finals MVP Kawhi in his Prime + Prime PG… Now its seems to be real bad, because SGA is now a MVP caliber Player and the Duo Kawhi and PG didnt really worked out because of injuries.
If they got 3-4 healthy Playoff runs, they would probably have a ring now.
But the dumbest thing, was to let PG "test" the free agency. Now they have a Team who cant compete for ring and no good young players or many draftpicks.

  9. I really hate the clippers, they traded away super team for PG and then they let him walk for free just because they did not want to trade with the warriors, where they could have got something for him. Now they get nothing For player they traded their entire future for.

  10. Happens every time when u let players make front office decisions, look at the position LA is in because they let LeBron run the organization

  11. OK, in my personal opinion, I would say it's at least top 10 worst trades in nba history. For me it's either how the lakers got Shaq or them getting kobe. But, I love his content. I think your next video should be your top 10 worst nba trades in nba history.

  12. W take, people are already saying it last year that it was a good trade because they got sga, but now that this year has concluded all because they got jdub in the deal, plus unprotected future clippers first. This might actually be the greatest one-sided trade in history.

  13. Worst trade in nba history was the Westbrook to lakers trade. Literally took 3 years of championship contention from LeBron

  14. People always look at the Lakers and point out the flaws but at least they got a chip out of it. SGA will end being better than Pandemic P and will end up getting a chip before the Clips.

  15. The way you people talk sh…..once kawhi injured…they not winning no matter who on their side. Shut the hell up

  16. Worst? Ever?
That is a highly underestimated statement.. I mean C'mon..The Hornets traded
"Kobe F"n Bryant" for Vlade Divac..
    …"not the worst๐Ÿ˜ฎ
