New Orleans Pelicans Sign Daniel Theis To A 1-Year Deal

I’m probably one of the few people who get super stoked that Daniel Ty signed with the New Orleans Pelicans I said Mason blown Ley or Daniel Ty would be a great cheap option for New Orleans and they go out and get Daniel t as Mason headed to the the desert with Arizona or Phoenix either way Daniel Ty we heard that pal palan inos wanted him but he ends up staying in the NBA which I love the German himself he technically can I think it’s this point you don’t play him really as much as at the four anymore but he’s a very good gritty bruising big that’s just perfect for New Orleans style and this past season he played with the Clippers after being bought out by the Pacers and he was a guy that just kind of fits the modern backup NBA Center playing 17 minutes a night 59 games which 59 games was the most he had played since his first in Boston and he’s the guy he’s going to come out for his career he’s like 19 minutes 7 and a half points five rebounds one and a half assists just under a block in a steel game but he put up six points four rebounds in 17 minutes a night for the Clippers and that’s what you like to see with him who’s a guy who’s going to come in shoot 53% from the field 37% from three and yeah the last three seasons that he’s really played with Boston and a bit with I guess he would yeah with Boston primarily and then be in this past year with the Clippers he’s been about a 36 37% three-point shooter on about one and a half attemps a game and he’s a good backup center when you look at Daniel Ty what are you getting you’re you’re getting a guy who can be a spot starter if need be he can come in and play pretty sound minutes on a nightly basis I think one of the things people are going to realize is that he’s good to go for anything you might need need him and I think that’s part of the reason that makes him so versatile is his ability just to to stay ready and he’s shown that repetitively now if we we look at what the depth charts for the new orle Pelicans going into next season I mean with jont Murray there CJ McCollum all the boys I really I do really like what they’ve done here David Griffin this offseason they played their hands well they didn’t they didn’t try to do too much they made one big move and they continue so they Deonte M CJ MCC Brandon Ingram Z Williamson Daniel Ty EES Messi Trey Murphy herb Jones Jordan Hawkins Jose Alvarado Jeremiah Robinson Earl Malcolm Hill Matt Ryan Antonio Reeves I would not I would not be surprised if they go out and try to find themselves a third big man no offense to Jeremiah Robinson ear he’s more of a small ball big Power Forward I think they’ll look either at I know Orlando Robinson was just waved by the heat I don’t know if he’s going back there if he’s not he’s definitely someone to look at pre aoua who’s a big that gives you a little bit of energy and is mobile Daniel TI is just a solid versatile big man who sets good screens finishes out of the pick and roll and could Spa up from three or finish at The Rim he’ll contest shots he’ll pass the ball and he’s a Sol a player so besides that I mean most of the bigs are off the market I don’t think they care for bismack Bio or Tristan Thompson they would have gotten him already Harry Gils I just don’t think the knees are reliable javil McGee it’s he’s just I think he’s pass his prime they had Cody Zeller they could bring back who I mean he’s still for for being older guy he moves he’s still somewhat mobile he can set screens and get back get back you know get back to the to the rim quickly off of you know screen picking rolls it’s not much of a defender or like a rim protector but a guy like L Robinson who’s a good rebounder can finish around the rim and flashes maybe a three-point shot could be solid if not like you take a flash at like yoka inuki but I like Daniel ice here but let me hear your guys’ thoughts what do you guys expect with the New Orleans Pelicans now what they’re starting center is going to look like if so do you think it is going to be Daniel Ty or do you think I’m just wrong with this one I I think it is going to be as of right now I think they want E’s Messi to be the starting center but Daniel Ty is like one of the better insurance policies you can go out there with if they they do want to roll the dice and I mean it makes sense trying to get ease Messi out there as soon as possible in my opinion
