Expendable so joins this team in the draft and ni make a long-term commitment and a hefty Financial commitment for a second round pick for what seems for him to be like the backup point guard of the future for this organization we’ve also seen that Leon and Tom Tibido like to have three point guards on the team that can run the offense maybe that means someone like Ryan Arch yako is going to sign in the off season or maybe you bring over Rus jaidas but I am excited to see him play and I’m excited to him see him play alongside some of the ni New York Knicks rookies pcome dier as well as Tyler KCK AR Ariel Huck porty as well as Kevin mcculler will be exciting to see what yakobus can do and if he does enough to convince the Knicks that he should be over there next year or if he just wants to cap space for hardenstein doesn’t matter he’s on the Knicks he signed an 80% partially guaranteed rookie deal he’s going to play in summer league and if he plays well enough he’s probably going to be on the Knicks next year but maybe spends a little bit more time in the G League I know a lot of people didn’t love my reaction to the pick that was more so CU I couldn’t pronounce his name and that’s why I said it was my worst nightmare but look he’s young he’s raw but he is T ented and he’s 18 almost 6’9 can put it on the deck can pull up from all three levels can get to the cup and score it he’s got offensive skill has to grow the rest of his game will be very intriguing to see how he fares in his first games in this summer league I want to see him come out with the green light and just jack up shots and let him go offensively we’ll see what dice does as I assume he is coaching the summer league Knicks once again most Rook the rookie I’m most excited about though is Tyler Co I wanted him to be the pick for the when they selected dier but coak Falls the second round they give him that four-year guaranteed contract and I expect coak to play really well he’s going to set the table he’s going to run the show he’s going to get the ball to dier and mcculler and other rookies and players on this team where they could do damage a guy that has a lot of burn under his belt a lot of miles and I would say overall just experience from his long college career should be able to come into the summer league and be an immediate Difference Maker and showcase that talent that have had him selected at this spot that he was Kevin mcculler Jr one of the largest Sliders in this draft class some people thought that Knicks were going to take him in the first round they get him at pick 56 I’m excited for him high energy high IQ he’s got skill he can compete on defense he’s going to get up and down likes to play in transition really someone that I think is going to make an impact early on in his career on the defensive end and I can’t wait to see him play in the summer league Ario hucky the 2024 Mr Irrelevant um it’ll be fun to see what does in summer league a lot of people have put a lot of high hopes up there his tape is fun he flashes skill he has Dynamic ability he’s athletic he has the potential it seems like in film to be a guy that could be a rotational big down the line but I just think it’s unfair to put any sort of expectations on late second round picks in their rookie Seasons but in summer leag he’ll be going against his peers people his age same type of experience could maybe add another player or two who here is that full summer league schedule for the next game one just a couple days away that’ll tip off on the 13th maybe we go live on the channel for that unfortunately won’t be able to do the rest of them because i’ have my wisdom teeth taken out on the 16th so puffy drugged up face Marsh will probably not be able to do summer league games the rest of the way but game one on ESPN 2 on the 13th 5:00 p.m. eastern time then you play the Nets on the 16th 4:30 p.m. eastern time on NBA TV the next game the very next day against the Kings also on NBA TV just an hour earlier in the day and the last guaranteed game or last game against a known opponent will be against the Detroit Pistons on the 19th at 700 p.m. and that fifth game is to be determined it matters how the rest of the tournament shakes out but it’s expected to be on the 22nd or the 23rd of July will you even watch the summer league I will I love watching it it’s always fun at least for the first couple of games not the highest um Talent level of basketball but a lot of grit a lot of grind a lot of effort people fighting for the lives will you watch let me know in the comments to find ways to add a backup center to this roster we’ve talked about Nick Richards we’ve talked about Walker Kessler I’m sure pra’s name is in that hat there’s no reason to bring him back or there’s no reason not to bring him back he’s a good player and he’s affordable and you can go over the salary cap to sign him you can pretty much give him whatever he wants and you still have the veteran mle how about we go out we sign press to Chua and then you use the or the uh taxpayer mid-level exception to go out and sign maybe a veteran point guard or you trade for a big man still moves to be made to fill out this roster for the ni are going to be ready to compete in the NBA this season and I am excited to see the product that Leon Rose has built also tomorrow male Bridges will be speaking to
