Raptors hint at MAJOR CHANGES

[Music] yeah I can’t accept the loss I’m hardheaded there’s a little bit of manage to my meth many falling off that fine line that I’m tread I risk anything to be great and I’m not letting nobody ride me of my victory number one that’s what I’m meant to be when by any means only thing that makes sense to me I can make nice or make history I got that dog in me in turn me up big energy got the crowd going up I got that do give me I take on anyone I don’t need one one I got that dog give me yeah I’m talking all B no B I could rip your squad I got that dog in me so what’s up yeah yeah yeah what up I told them move over enough of that mediocre I’ve been the man cruising around in the stroller I got I in my veins like a cut in Minnesota why not show you how I’m built Come a Little Closer all right all right all right Raptor fans I am excited I am excited as for that amped interview uh you know intro um hit the sub up uh well I got your attention right in the beginning our little project urri sham 2024 get him to 10,000 subscribers that’s going pretty well actually uh URI shamay started out at 9,000 we tweeted about it we got them up to 9,500 can y’all go and follow UL shamsh I’mma put it up here uh for you and just just go follow the dude man and and drop a and drop a nice little you know welcome to Toronto because he’s getting a lot of stupid [ __ ] written on his uh on his timeline right now so just go and do that and we’re gonna have you covered okay so the Toronto Raptors hint at major changes look man if you’re listening to people about where the Toronto Raptors are going to be be you know for the next year you’re assuming Cooper flag sweep Stakes you’re assuming but if you’ve been listening to this Channel and you’ve been listening to me talking about this for the last four months I don’t think this team’s going to be bad I think they’re I think they’re going to be much better than people think they are and the most important thing is they think they’re going to be much better than people think they are the future Starts Now not next year not two years from now not 5 years from now we’re not you know the The Branding is not we’re two years away from being two years away not patient and you know patience and patience and apologies so here’s what we’re going to do we have done this a lot in this Channel’s history if you’re a longtime subscriber you know we dive into post game we dive into interviews we dive into a lot of stuff and we break down the minutia because I do believe that people can’t help but tell the truth right so what I want to do is that by the end of this through listening to Bobby Webster through listening to Mah jury through listening to Matt Devin through listening to Emanuel quickly through listening to Scotty Barnes I want to know what do these guys really think what do they really believe and what’s really possible because you can believe what you want to believe it’s not going to change it’s not going to change the roster but I want to understand what the expectations are and I realized this is a sales thing this is a business thing the Toronto Raptors are not going to come out and say we’re tanking next year but yeah please pay a lot of money to come see us the hopes and Dream speech is always there are we being swindled we will figure that out are we being Hoodwinked are we being sold a lie are we are they planning something else and we’re being told something else no I don’t think so but you know what I’m open I’m open to to being wrong so I’m going to listen to all these with you guys I suspect some of you have already listened to some of these uh you know TSN interviews and stuff but we’re going to go through the entire thing and we are going to get to the truth Beyond fact finding and Truth dissemination and you know I mean yall remember breaking down fed van fetes post games and trying to see you know his relationship and what he really meant and who he was really jabbing at y’all remember you know Dennis Schroeder breaking down his you know slip UPS of like I’m the starting point guard and I’m a leader and all that [ __ ] Beyond fact finding this is a happy moment this is a happy moment for me as a Toronto Raptor fan to know that two of the best young players in the league have committed to the next five years in the case of Scotty the next six years of their career to the Toronto Raptors and they seem to really be fond of each other again I’m G tap myself on the back because I’ve been wrong about quite a few things but let’s give credit where credit is to I said when Scotty got injured this is a blessing in disguise something he has now echoed many times and throughout his interviews you’re going to hear him say that there was a major growth jump for him mentally emotionally when he got hurt when he stopped playing and he had to sit out it was tough for him cuz his team was losing and he had to find new ways to help his team and he found basically The Missing Link this is what has been missing and I think the Scotty Barnes that the media met is a Scotty Barnes that they probably like a lot more than the guy they met two years ago now I love the guy that we met four years ago five years ago I’ve Loved Scotty you know all the way through the entire growth because I understand he was a kid I wasn’t expecting a 16-year-old 17-year-old 18y old to conduct himself or compose himself or you know articulate himself like he was a 25-year-old but the growth that I have seen just in him in terms of the accountability he’s taking right um some of the questions that Josh lenberg asked him you know about the pressure and it’s just like so remarkably composed he’s gone from answering questions like a very ambitious 21y old to a remarkably composed 30-year-old and he’s done that in a in a single season and I think Darko rakovich Garrett Temple Emanuel quickley RJ Barrett and all the guys have really had a huge part in that so I’m really happy that my favorite player just committed long term to my favorite team and watching him sign that pen to paper was like damn it might as well have happened to my brother like I feel so happy for him and I feel happy for this team that they got a real culture Builder and listening to you know when we listen to the full interview we listen to emanel quickley talking about Scotty Barnes Tak note take note about what he says about you know a selfless Superstar take take note of how he addresses him because it’s the same way that Goran drit talked about Scotty it’s the same way that Fus young talked about Scotty it’s the same way that Kevin Durant LeBron James and basically anyone with a heart and a brain has talked about Scotty it’s definitely not the way that Fred vanley talked about Scotty it’s definitely not the way that you know some of his other teammates in the past have talked about him and I for one you know this Bittersweet moment Emanuel quickley is not signing this contract that Fred Van is here he’s not it’s just impossible you wouldn’t have been able to squeeze two guys of that caliber you know you just wouldn’t be able to and personally I don’t know whether we credit ourselves as a community for leading the Brigade to get fbl out of here or whether we you know credit em udoka for basically saying no to James Harden or we thinkk James Harden you know or we thank uh I don’t know I don’t know who we have to thank but I’m thankful today that as of right now we are building around Emanuel quickley and Scotty Barnes and not and RJ Barrett and grd Dick and this young core and this exciting upstar team and not on the precipice of one of the oldest mid rosters in the middle of nowhere building this terrible brand of basketball around Scotty Barn so I’m happy about that all right without further Ado let’s get to it and this is a call-in show towards the end of it we will take your calls if you want to call in you got something to say absolutely happy to hear from you and I will respond to comments and I’ll be a lot more mindful to comment um let’s get to this okay my name is Matt delin voice of the Toronto Raptor so great to see all of you here today and I’ll be your MC um what is going to be a spectacular morning uh before we begin we acknowledge the land we are on is a traditional territory of many nations including the missas of the credit the annc the Chipawa the hudin oceany and the windat peoples and is now home to many diverse First Nations Inuit and matey peoples we also acknowledge that Toronto is covered by treaty 13 with the mississaga of the credit and is still home to many diverse indigenous peoples from across Turtle Island whose presence and contributions we recognize and acknowledge welcome to those in attendance and watching online to beautiful downtown Toronto we have such a great morning and certainly look forward to the festivities of the day and of course this upcoming season and cannot wait to get it started the 30th anniversary of the Toronto Raptors your Toronto Raptor so all the way from Mighty Mouse toting I I got to fast forward this sorry it’s just it’s a little too Chey there we go good to see you Messi first of all welcome and you go back to this past season you’ve seen the growth of Scotty over the course of the three years the Rookie of the Year an Allstar this past season and then the trade that brings over Emanuel quickley and his teammate RJ Barrett just talk about the decision uh that was made to do that trade the growth of Scotty what you see and then ultimately as you look at the NBA and what you see now in the NBA that these two players are Cornerstone and also certainly a part a significant part of the future uh thanks Matt thank you for everybody uh being out here um the families of uh Scotty families of quickly um agent uh media uh mlsc everybody uh that’s here our ownership um I think this is it’s an incredible day for us um I think um what we went through last year um was quite tough uh for our organization and um in some way we um we didn’t want to put our fans uh through that but this is is the tide that and the cycle of sports and what you go through and how you need to um maybe start again rebuilding and resetting uh where the organization is and what can ever be bigger than uh signing these two players Scotty um it was intentional um he’s what he brings hard work uh the dedication the growth uh the learning ability the talent um the skill and and the person I think the person is is is what really like sits with us and um how he Embraces this city uh this country and the game uh it’s so important to us on how we uh navigate and and build this team and then Emmanuel quickly we’ve always watched and um kind of looked from afar and um when this opportunity came where we had to kind of change the direction of our team uh this was a huge opportunity for us okay couple things and I must uh I must say this this is not super sure of himself Messi you jury there’s a lot of weak body language there’s a lot of weak language here kind of should have could the that right this is not Messiah speaking from the heart this is M Messiah speaking from the head couple reasons that this could be the case number one he doesn’t believe what he’s saying which I don’t think is necessarily the case number two he knows that what he’s saying feels like perhaps um how shall I say this again this is me attempting to offer my input on what I’m hearing from somebody right this is not me trying to break down his binacular or whatever and and I realize that this can be very very weird and and sometimes in inaccurate but I think this is a human thing right some someone says you want you want a coffee or a latte you don’t say I kind of want a coffee if you want a coffee you say you want a coffee this is this is linguistic this is this is of course the truth I believe that this guy just hates losing I really do so he came out almost with an apologetic tone right uh Jaden said maybe he’s not the best public speaker are you kidding me Messi jery is an incredible public speaker I have listened to him on stage many years and that’s why I believe that I am even remotely capable of interpreting tone right I mean we don’t know what’s going on in a person’s life I’m I’m just saying that I believe that one of two things are the case right I believe he feels badly that the Raptor’s lost a lot maybe feels a little ashamed that he is now the general manager president or whatever uh of a lottery team either that or he feels a little bit weird about how many people had to go out for this to happen right Fred Pascal OG he’s already talked numerous times about the attachment that he felt to those guys so maybe there is some element of hey I know we had to do this I know some of you hate it you know what I mean there is that so yes uh Ru saying I wouldn’t say incredible I I again we are all entitled to our own opinions I’ve listened to Messi jury many times I think he has a very commanding presence on stage uh I’ve attended his his lecture in person uh again I think he’s he’s brilliant I watched him you know when he sparked we the north with the f Brooklyn when he’s speaking from the heart when he’s clear about you know I’ve listened to him again I think he did a TED talk about Africa and infrastructure in Africa again this is a guy when he’s speaking from the heart and he believes what he’s saying it’s very different than this right so anyways that’s just my my two takeaways obviously he he speaks very affectionately about Scotty I just wonder if there’s a part of him that wishes it had happened the other way which is to say that Scotty had grown into his Fred Pascal OG timeline and had ascended that way because I just don’t think that that was going to happen um to bring this player these are all foundational I think and is is the start of something it’s growth and um we’re hoping that we can Elevate and and start to really um build that Force um in the MBA you need force uh you need competitors these guys are competitors I haven’t listened to this yet but I’m going to guess right now his tone just shifted and he said force and competitors again I have watched him do this many many many many years okay I’m talking before he became president of of the Raptors I’ve been following M for a long time I met him in 2008 very familiar so I have a feeling what he’s going to do right now is he’s is he’s probably sensed that he’s coming out sort of flat and so he’s going to amp himself up by talking about winning and he’s going to repeat the sales pitch again I haven’t watched this let’s see what happens but competitor competition I feel like he’s playing word Association and he’s going to go towards winning and championships and he’s going to he’s going to give the the Messiah jury War champ the work they put in um and yes we want to get back to where we were it’s all about winning well you say that you always have said we win and in 2019 it’s exactly what happened with the Toronto Raptors and and how do these two players help assist you in that winning culture to get back to where you want to be in where everybody wants to be well I’m saying it again Matt we will win we’ll win again here and it’s guaranteed we’re going to win again here I have every confidence that we’re going to win in Toronto again uh for me um when I interviewed SC in the draft I said it before um he in the small amount of time we had mention mentioning winning winning winning win we won here we won in high school when we won here and that was all that was on his mind I never forget too after the All Star um I was talking to him with coach and he said um and I said you can’t be a onetime Allstar right you can’t you have to you have to keep going and he said I he looked at me on coach and he said um um we have to win here yeah so his mind did not even go to this this the second allar or the next All Stars he just went straight to winning so little backstory um one of the major reasons and I’m not suggesting they wouldn’t have picked him otherwise but one of the main selling points of Scotty because it was a little bit of a controversial pick right and a lot of people think that the Raptors were debating between Jonathan kaminga and Scotty Barnes for that fourth pick they probably also looked at guys like ALR shenon guys like um you know Josh giddy maybe moving back Etc so I believe what what in sold it was in a 45 minute interview with Scotty they they they counted that he had said winning like 45 46 times that he talked about how important it was for him to win and you know what that’s that’s always been true if you really understand Scotty Barnes you will understand how much it matters to him to win I’ll give you a story that should be a little bit of a backstory if you remember summer league Scotty Barnes they lost one game right and it wasn’t it wasn’t clear to any of us I don’t think what rules were but essentially if you lose one game you don’t even get to compete for the summer league championship essentially that’s how it broke down but I don’t think we really found out about that or he didn’t find out about that until the end and he was so pissed you don’t understand the Chicago Bulls that playing loss that stung him so hard I mean just hearing from people around him like it it really bothered him that they lost that game like he couldn’t believe it it really stuck with him consider also when they lost to Philly right again what’s the what’s the adjacent opposite of winning it’s losing you know I like losing right winners hate losing I get that he left the court he left the court he didn’t even shake the Sixers hands and you can say it’s bad sportsmanship or you can say that’s a guy who really hates losing I known this about Scotty for a very long time he absolutely hates losing and you know what I completely understand whyi is in love with this guy yeah when I talk to Emmanuel you know and his mindset uh for me and the seriousness of what this game is about and how they take it the rhythm of how he plays um that far away shot um it’s where the NBA is going and then when I look at our program and our coach and the developmental program I think we have a few young guys here um I know Grady’s here oai is here I know Bruce I know davan is here yeah it’s it’s becoming like this now yeah and this is where we want to go here yeah last year was a shame to me to us um and in a way that I feel um we had to like rebuild and many things came our way um it’s now starting to settle yeah but winning yeah Sports is only about winning yeah nobody cares about anything if you don’t win you’re irrelevant yeah so Sports is about winning and we’re going to win here again when we’re going to be does anyone have a count on how many times he said winning so far cuz he’s getting me Juiced up y I want to go to the gym right now I want to do back flips like what’s what’s going on M joined by Scotty here momentarily and you think about the growth on the court we’ve you know talked about that you think about his three-point shooting and the growth that that took last season and the step and the ability to rebound offensively defensively and just all the other different attributes uh that he has and then you started to see him emerge not only on the court but off the court and also in a leadership role and so when you think about Scotty in a leadership role with this organization you know describe what you see in that in the future for Scotty well these guys are all puppies you know like they’re they’re so young you know and and we have to teach them that that’s part of our jobs it’s part of I I think what comes with coming from great families his mentorship um uh is is part of coach’s program is Darko holds everybody uh accountable and um and Scotty’s has has really really like um tested his mind you know in in in how he grows as a leader um the game shows you know that that’s even the most important uh and then off the court the dedication staying here all summer um working on his game and embracing the city embracing the program that’s huge yeah that’s huge when I look at uh these guys we have to teach them how to become leaders you know when I look at all of us you know like and we get to certain places how much did you learn how long did it take for you to grow how much information do we give these guys um so that yes there’s going to be adversity it’s not going to happen overnight I’m not saying that uh we’re going to be the end of yeah tomorrow um but I know where this team is going I know where uh these young young players are are going their dedication these guys have been around Grady or chai Davon Bruce they they’re dedicating themselves to what we want to do yeah and that commitment um we see where the NBA is we want to win yeah we want to get back there thank you so much for your time I know you’re going to remain here and I think that uh when you talk about the foundation and we will win you’ve said it before and so we certainly look forward to two foundational players and the Laro Brian down the future as well for the Toronto Raptors and at this moment I’d like to direct everyone uh to the video screens here and in a moment you’ll see why Scotty Barnes is such a great player that he currently is and the future of course is endless are they about to play a video that’s going to get me because I know you spend a lot of time here even in the off season as well I think the main thing I learned about this city is just just how dedicated how supportive uh the fans are to this organization this program um not just the city but all of Canada you know from day one I’m sure everybody felt it um every single player they felt that that presence that this city has and what this team can bring um that how much they just love you and support you through no matter any situation um so I think that’s the thing that you just got to embrace most well they’ve certainly embraced you as you know and not only here in Toronto but throughout Canada and Messiah when you look at Scotty and you’ve seen the trajectory of the last three years and you think about the next two three four five seasons in the growth of his game uh what do you envision as Scotty here about the future for Scotty Barnes um well his game his game is um I think um it fits so well um for other players because he’s a he’s a pass first um player and he thinks team uh first on both both ends of the court and um I think he’s going to elevate that uh more and working on his three-point shot is going to uh you saw that even opens the game um more I think he’s got Fierce teammates now we’ve added a couple Defenders on the team and uh maybe try to space the court out a little bit more and I think that would even Elevate him more as uh a playmaker and then um what he talked about and and what we’ve seen is um the assertiveness of taking over a game and and that’s um that’s where he earns the big buck and there’s nothing wrong with that right Scotty we’re also here to celebrate uh a manual quick your teammate and the combination the dynamic duo and the back court you think about IQ and and his ability to knock down the three-point shot at 39.5% this past year career-high for him uh what is it like to have a teammate like IQ to have a teammate like IQ it’s a blessing um just the spirit that he comes in with every single day you know he comes in with a smile comes in with a a lot of energy um you know I love playing 2K with my boy who’s better uh he’s pretty good you know he’s really good I I think I’m better I think I think we need to rematch his team but you know is it five Scotties vers five IQs out there or you guys mix we do we do a different a different mod you know we go head tohe but IQ you know he he comes in willing to work every single day and that’s just the guys that you want to have around you uh so you know I love having him around and you know he’s great all right well he is great and at this moment if you guys could all turn your attention once again to the screens and Toronto he also averaged career highs in points assists and rebounds please welcome I mean he is quick right he has the IQ please welcome number five Emanuel quickley [Applause] IQ welcome and congratulations on this day know it’s you know certainly an impactful one and based on your comments at the end of the season it sounded like resigning with the Raptors was always your goal uh so what were the you know what’s really interesting and this is just a random toss aside they are so ying and yang one is dressed head to toe in Black the other one is dressed head to toe in white and that is so fitting to who they are um as players and as people I thought that was hilarious um and they are very I I find it beautiful when um two teammates approach things from a very different perspective have very different personalities but are able to find common ground which is what I think uh they have found factors you considered and why was Toronto ultimately the right choice and the right move for you appreciate everybody having everybody being here I think the main thing was just the mentality of the organization where they saw this team going individually for me and also as a team I think what we can do here can be special and really excited to get started so just the mentality of the team and you know where they saw this thing going I was really intrigued when you know we mentioned all of the productivity that you had uh this season with the Toronto Raptors so for you as you look to next season where do you want to see your own game go and then as that lead guard along with Scotty Barnes in the back court you know where do you see the growth not only for yourself but also the team individually for me I think just continuing to find different ways to lead um I also think just when I’m done playing I want to be able to say that you know I meant every Challenge and tried to accept every challenge that was thrown at me and and just really trying to bring other guys along with me I think it’s something special when you uh can do something by yourself or you know score a lot of points and things like that but just trying to bring other guys with you and do something special is what it’s all about so I’m going try to do that all right this is like 100% why Scotty likes him I can tell that this is the right messaging the wrong messaging is I’m the leader I’m going be a top five player I I I I I I promise you if you are I if you’re an ie person if you’re all like I’m going to do this I’m going to do that whatever it’s it’s just not going to resonate with people who are very we Centric right Scotty’s about winning Scotty’s about team it doesn’t matter it doesn’t mean that he’s deflecting responsibility which we will you know see in the subsequent interview which I did watch a little bit of the subsequent interview uh where he talks about the responsibility of being a leader CC that’s not ducking the it’s it’s about the objective it’s about the individual versus the team and you know again Emanuel quickley May challenge himself personally he may say I want to take on this Challenge and that challenge but it’s always in the grander context of the team and it’s not it is not boisterous it is not you know it’s it’s about me um look at me um I’m this there’s no snarkiness there’s nothing and again just trying to understand Scotty as a player over the last what seven years now we we talking 2018 we’re we’re really running on about seven years now is one thing that I have noticed whether he was a goofy 16 177 year old or whe whether he was like an anxious freshman or whether he was a nervous rookie or whether he was a super confident guy or whether he was kind of disgruntled softmore it has always remained true with him is that if you’re about the right stuff if you’re about humility gratitude if you’re about these things it’s going to Vibe with him because that’s how he was raised you know what I mean how you were raised is going to drastically impact the type of people that you are drawn to I guarantee you that like the people that are around Scotty they would like him too like it’s just it’s a perfect fit and I felt that way um about him man quickly when we traded for him I said Scotty’s going to love this guy I felt that way about Darko rakovich Scotty is gonna love this guy that’s just it it’s it’s it’s a personality thing you know what I mean it’s not to say Fred Van a bad person or Den sh is a bad person they fit in in a different context it’s not they’re not bad people they fit in in a different team setting you need different types of people to deal with those types of people these types of people work together in my opinion right so last one for you or maybe I may have another one but uh when you think about Scotty and you think about him as a teammate and before being a teammate and now being a teammate of his what can you say about Scotty Barnes our team is better than him in 2K that’s one well I was get that was the other question huh but N I knew he was really talented obviously especially playing just seeing him in high school one uh USA teams and you things like that uh then obviously the NBA when I wasn’t here but when I got on the team just realizing the type of person he is uh the joy he has the hard work he brings the mentality he has every single day it’s rare that you find like a superstar that is as humble and plays defense you know it’s rare to find somebody that plays both sides of the ball um as talented as he is and that kind of bleeds into the rest of your team so you need guys that especially you know at the highest level or the highest players on your team you know you need guys that are selfless that set the ex example uh day in and day out and he does that great words you bring up the defense and you think about Scotty taking on everybody’s number one right in The Scouting Report and just the growth of that and what he was able to accomplish not only defensively but offensively Messi what um what when you looked at Emanuel quickly I know in speaking to you the the day of the tree just how excited you were and and when you acquired him you now obviously had the opportunity to see him day in and day out what has made him so special in your mind and so coveted by the front office well first of all every time we you meet with him every time Bobby and I meets with him or coach meets with him he sits up in his chair like that and it it for me it brings a level of like seriousness and and and how he listens and and then you try to go and like implement it uh and and when when coaches front office and all the other 100 coaches and all the people that tell you uh different things to do and you always listen to them and accommodate he’s one of those persons that you see and you actually like admire it because um then he goes out on the court uh in practice and he works as hard and see them working out together um it’s it’s it’s something to see and our Dream Our Hope and um is that it rewards them it rewards the team it rewards the city the fans and everybody because we see the blood and sweat these guys are put in even at a young age where sometimes you can be distracted these guys are focused on the game and um I talk about winning yeah it’s all about winning you’re both Emanuel and Scotty you’ve now been in the league you have seen many different things right from Rookie of the Year to allar to getting traded in the middle of the Season which isn’t easy and so now you have some young players younger than you maybe even the same age but they’re rookies that are coming in and what can you kind of pass on to them as far as what you’ve learned in this league Scot just Embrace every single opportunity that’s thrown at you um no matter if you get sent to a g for some time just Embrace that and try to take every advantage of that as possible uh so long long season you know injuries happen things happen throughout the season uh your number your number may not be called for uh throughout the season but then boom you might just get thrown in there thrown into the fire so just be ready to be for the opportunity that’s going to be thrown at you and just try to take full advantage of it um don’t get down during okay do me a favor and transcribe what he just said change the tone a little bit is he starting to sound a little bit like a certain six-foot point guard from Rockford Illinois not the toxic part the good part the good part of Fred vanle right take your take your lumps in the g- league make the most of your opportunities this is everything Fred Vani was preaching right so he has absorbed even from a person that maybe he didn’t always see eye to eye on he has absorbed the right messaging right and now that messaging must be taught down this is how communities are built this is how culture is built transfer of knowledge right right I hope that’s not too too weird a visual to get out of your head Scotty Barnes echoing the sentiments of Fred vanle just always just try to stay positive and once you bring that energy uh every single day to practice or no matter where you’re at uh people see that and they and they take appreciative of that these cameramen be bugging I would just say that uh this being my fifth year in the league nothing’s promised to you in the league U it’s hard it’s not easy you know it’s the best 400 450 players for a reason uh and really just coming in with that mindset every day that you you going to be the best and I think that gives you a chance and when you have players like that that think like that are competitive have joy and uh enjoy being around you know your teammates you have a chance to do something special so thank you both uh Messi one last one for you and feel free to leave us with any final thoughts and one of the reasons that the fan base has gravitated towards Scotty and Emanuel is because of the joy and the fun that they have with each other they play and exemplify on the court how important are they to setting the tone in the culture of the Toronto Raptors uh we have to get back to being who we are um and um it’s a it’s a big big challenge uh for us and we are all taking on uh this this huge challenge I think uming bro he sounds like he’s he sounds like he’s he really sounds like the CEO of a company that just got caught for fraud I mean I don’t get it he’s he’s he’s kind of like self- soothing come on Messi we’re happy I know some people aren’t happy I know your media people aren’t happy but we’re happy so if Messiah jury ever sees this per chance if one of his family members Clips this just want to let you know one of your Raptor communities is happy with with the job that you’ve done over the last year back a lot of joy in how we play and how we’re going to go about this uh Incredible Journey uh it’s 30 years uh in this organization and um there’s been a lot of great history here um I heard you mention it um from the Vince carers and those guys that um really um opened this Gates uh for us um for our ownership that gives us this opportunity for the likes of Kyle and dear coach Casey that build something great you know um for us an unbelievable Foundation um and then I remember um the benchmob and those guys coming in and joining forces and then Kawai and the championship and um those are all behind for us now you know like in terms of um it’s all about what you’ve done yesterday in this league and there’s a lot of parody in this league we’ve seen it the last 5 six years no team there’s no Dynasty anymore and we don’t we actually don’t believe in that until maybe we do it that’s what everybody thinks you know so we we want to win here and the mentality the seriousness uh what coach D um has brought a program of development we wanted real development whether it’s G League whether it’s our young players and we saw a Grady um or chai these guys started to um really take shape I will just call cap on the oai taking shape unless of course you mean shape has like very loose definition of shape I understand he has to say this stuff but OA was really bad just saying I were excited about the summer league and the young guys we’ve drafted shared um jacobe mobo man these guys are all um I think uh the kind of players we want to bring uh to this program and then just the trust of the organization just in general the fans that have damn yo Falcon Acer I appreciate you catching that because I can’t I can’t believe I didn’t say it first okay that is true he did say coach Casey he always says coach Casey he always addresses um Casey with a sort of reverence uh respect right but he did not mention Nick nurse which I find to be humorous given that he was coaching his team for the last five years I think that’s pretty impressive maybe an indication of where that relationship is right now maybe an indication of what actually happened hint hint hint all right have supported us uh here um all our workers um I appreciate I appreciate the optimism bro look I’m a raptor fan I want I want oai to do well I want Bruce to do well I want RJ to do well I don’t have any bested interest in any of these guys doing poorly but we must temper expectations temper expectations to reality tether them to reality and maybe you might say this is a pot calling a kettle black since I was calling Scotty a superstar since you know he was drafted okay so maybe you know you can see ambition but I do think that there is something maybe not so healthy about assuming everything is going to turn out the best okay so you know if it’s a steal okay like I mean I’ll take good value I’ll just take he turns it around and he’s an NBA player okay yeah um all the people that make this work Bobby Dan Keith all our our front office this is this is it yeah this is it there’s no more talk it’s let’s go and try and work and build and grow and and make this thing work and win yeah I’ll say it again I know you guys hear me saying it the last 10 years 100 times Sports is about winning yes and we’ll win again in Toronto you can say I said it a 100 times and I say too much or I’m talking yes I’m talking yes we’re going to win again in Toronto thank you Messiah and as you pointed out the future is now right and so and whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa this is [ __ ] Kenny um Dwayne chip The Rock Casey it’s pound the rock man don’t be appropriating a guy’s you know phrase his catchphrase and then messing it all up it’s Pound The Rock it’s not chip The Rock I want to thank Scotty Barnes for your time as well as your family uh and Emanuel quickly thank you and and thank you for the family being here on such a wonderful day that does conclude the former portion of the event today for members of the media we will move into photos followed by scrums thanks again for those in attendance here as well as watching throughout uh the World online because we do know that that is the case including Vienna Vienna Austria right now uh we will see you all in a few months cannot wait cannot wait okay for the 30th anniversary of the Toronto Raptors and what’s in store and before uh we conclude please turn your attention to the video boards nope okay so we will get to the Josh lenberg interviews with uh Miss well not with Messiah with Scotty Barnes I I watched that one I thought it was really interesting um shout outs to Josh lomberg this the first probably last and probably only shout out that I will give Josh lenberg but I’ve trolled him a lot over the years I’ve said a lot of bad stuff about him so let me say something positive I think the interview went well okay um so that’s the first thing we’re gonna we’re gonna we’re going to go into the Emanuel quickly one I have not listened to that and the Bobby Webster one so I’m very curious to see what was said there I apologize I woke up a little bit late today I had the live stream on players choice the panel at 11: and then procrastinated from 2: till 4: wrote some stuff and then prepared for this live so yeah my takeaways from that um okay Kenne saying uh was a jab because it didn’t feel like that rock even lost a grain well um I think it was a metaphor if that went over your head but yeah I think Pound The Rock worked as as much as I clowned it initially there was a picture of Dwayne Casey with a baseball cap St or maybe not with a baseball cap I’m misremembering that and he’s standing next to this rock and it’s like Pound The Rock and you know it’s it’s a good mentality it’s a great mentality right to chip away at something every single day to use your term chip right to Pound The Rock every single day to to make it you know um it may not make a lot of sense in terms of physics but it does make a sense a lot of sense in terms of spirituality obviously it’s very hard to deduce from what the Raptors have done this off season what they’re trying to do because on the one hand you can make a case that they’re clearly tanking right they haven’t used their full midlevel they managed to exercise their team option on Bruce Brown even though he’s not worth anything close to 23 million they’ve let Gary Trent dangle they’ve added four rookies to the mix and I don’t think a team that’s looking a really win is adding four rookies especially three second rounders to their pile of players right and they’ve also added a 25-year-old you know another rookie so really I mean how many rookies are we taking on here hold on one second let me let me just do do the math here one two three four we got five rookies on our roster is that correct someone correct me if I’m wrong that’s five rookies that’s and then you got a guy who may as well like you got two guys who are first year players and Javon for human Liberty and Grady dick from last year that is an insanely inexperienced roster right then you got a lot of roster IM balance and again if they don’t make the trade for Cameron Johnson like I want and they clearly did not go out and sign ogan and noi like I wanted so you got a bit of a ho right Scotty Scotty Barnes right now is a front Court player for you which I think is very very bad I think he should be a backourt player for you so you know are they hedging on something to pop for Scotty because they do have a lot of flexibility something I was looking at with the San Antonio Spurs right the Spurs just got Harrison Barnes they got Kellin Johnson they got you know contracts they got tradable contracts down down down the roster and they got all these draft picks so Victor wanyama and Stefon Castle come out and Kellin Johnson and Devin Bell and these guys have taken a step and I very much think that Victor orama is going to take a massive step for the Spurs as I talked about today on the panel Spurs can pivot very quickly well guess what so can the Raptors you may not want to hear this but the Raptors can pivot very quickly away from their draft picks and they can pivot towards Bruce Brown plus stuff for you know something like cam Johnson Lori marinin whatever if Lori Markin is indeed available which is to say that you finally have the assets to make something happen in the trade market you have expiring you have Sasha venkov expiring uh Davon Mitchell expiring right Chris bushe expiring Bruce Brown expiring you can you can fully take a team 30 games into the season who season is not going very well and offer them something like a boatload of draft picks for something what I’m saying is this season to me is going to come down to how big a jump are you willing to take Scotty Barnes okay because if Scotty comes out and he is legit all NBA and you are 500 I will almost guarantee you the behavior of this team in the past signals to me that they will make a pretty aggressive move to become more competitive and to make his first time in the playoffs with this young core a successful one right they’ve done it every single time they want to they want to show the the the leap of faith this is how they operate right so they’re going to be shopping Bruce Brown for an upgrade on the roster they’re going to shopping Chris bue and whoever else is out of the roster on an upgrade they’ll be shopping even potentially yaka purle on an upgrade even though they’re probably less emotionally likely to move yaka Perle so what I’m get what I’m guessing from this is you can go either way which is probably not news to anybody right you have Scotty Barnes you have Emanuel quickley they are both guys who you expect to take a leap let’s not even talk about the leap that you expect to happen for Grady dick in a second year the leap that you expect RJ Barrett to take because RJ Barrett did show progression he did show progression but let me be let me be clear RJ can take a step Emanuel quicker can take a step but if Scotty Barnes does not take a step this isn’t going to work and the step Scotty has to take is the biggest of them all he has to go from a connective playmaker a secondary ball handler a secondary scorer second an opportunistic hunting you know vulture type score he has to go from that to like a go-to guy a go-to guy who drops a mismatch every single you know time down the court who draws doubles who picks apart doubles he has to be I don’t want to say as good as Jason Tatum because that’s probably unrealistic and crazy next year but he has to get into the conversation where we’re having debates about who’s better that conversation needs to happen and believe it or not it’s not that un it’s not that crazy to suggest that he could be in that conversation it’s crazy to suggest he’ll be better but he’s got to get into that conversation and if he makes that jump then not only will all the other players benefit from that I mentioned in the previous live because all of your core pieces Grady RJ Manuel quickley Scotty Barnes yaka purle all the core pieces are secured to longer term deals this season can go either way without the added implications of oh no we’re tanking the only implication here is you cannot cost Scotty an all MBA bid okay you cannot now he should be aware if his agent hasn’t told him and and if Brian hasn’t told him and if his family hasn’t told him then I’ll tell him right now to the camera if you don’t win 41 games you’re not making all NBA you not make all NBA there’s not a chance in hell that you were going to get that 270 so you got $41 million on the line Scotty Barnes if you’re guy like oai abaji if you’re guy like Davon Mitchell could the season be swinging to some extent on these guys really taking a step up well they’re in contract years and quite frankly neither of them is the level of prospect where I can guarantee you that they’re going to get anything more than a minimum contract on their next contract unless they show something incredible this year they’ve got a lot on the line what’s impressive however and what’s important here is that none of your actual core pieces are in a contract year which is to say that if you decide 55 games out that this season is a lost cause that you’re 15 games under 500 the math is obvious you know uh six seed seven seed eight seed in the East are really competitive and good teams teams are not tanking if you’re 10th 11th 12th whatever yeah you can still continue to push but you can start to tear down you can choose not to double down on this core you can choose not to double you know to to add to it at the deadline you can choose to parse Parts out you can choose to shop Bruce Brown you can choose to take back some draft picks and then you can pivot and I’ll tell you right now this this draft is deep uh I could maybe argue the sixth pick in this year uh in the 2025 draft might go number one in the 2020 24 draft it’s a deep class there’s a lot of players dink Pate um I don’t know if I’m saying his his last name right uh Colin Murray Bo I mean that’s another guy neither of these guys are sniffing top five top six top seven both of them are very interesting prospects for the Raptors obviously you can look at VJ edcom you can look at guys like Ace Bailey Dylan Harper you know um shoot like you go down the list right uh Cooper flag there’s a lot of real real Talent so there’s an incentive to tank but not now when the time comes they can pivot away from that but right now you got to feed into the core and right now what I will say is before we get to the you know before we get to callers and before we get to the Josh lenberg interviews what I will say is you don’t get these years back you will never get Summer of 24 back for Scotty Barnes right take advantage of the fact that he’s healthy take advantage of the fact that he’s basically been off from basketball for the last five months okay four months I don’t know he’s been off for a long time and I’m going to bet I don’t have any insight on this I mean I sort of do but okay like let me say I don’t have any definitive proof I haven’t you know seen any tape or whatever but I’m going to BET right now that he’s already unthinkably better than you remember him the last time he took the court I’m willing to bet on that for sure I I take that blind bet 10 times out of 10 he has been off basketball for so long right and he is super motivated to win he does not want to lose anymore you have to give him that chance and if he makes if he makes good on this you have a superstar congratulations you Emanuel quickle what he’s been saying what I’ve been saying right y’all remember in um his second year second year I think first week or second week I said Toronto you have a superstar that was it that’s all I needed to see from him that was my okay you built on the rookie season I get it now understand the season went off the rails went a completely different way people said he didn’t have work ethic issues whatever whatever doesn’t matter what I’m saying is if it works out you’re good if it doesn’t work out still good because at the very least you gave him this entire offseason to see where he could achieve the last thing I want is touchwood an injury or a lack of motivation or a lack of incentiv incentivization because really when you look around at the roster around you when you look at around your organization your coaches and everybody and everybody is gearing up to have a 65 Lost season it’s very demoralizing you almost think to yourself what am I doing why why am I doing the work that I’m doing you must keep that hope alive hope is very powerful all right let’s let’s uh let’s let’s do the first interview uh coach Mo hang tight and anyone else who wants to call in call in but uh yeah we we’ll be we’ll be done this in about 20 minutes or so I’d say uh Mike P with a great observation also listening to this interview can see how much his media day maturity and responses have come like honestly I get where you’re coming from it takes a really really long time it took me a very long time to just learn how to answer a question without putting people off with without rambling without umming it’s not something that just comes naturally to everybody right and and typically young people struggle with this right you see a lot of prospects they look a little bit nervous they’re not really they’re sort of stumbling over their words a little bit there isn’t a coherent there’s maybe a little bit of dismissive body language you can set people off right I don’t even think this is Media training I’m gonna be honest with you NBA players that train like high level prospects like this they’re they’re doing media training since they were 14 years old I tell you that right now they are told what to say what not to say what never to say who to attract you know who to talk to who not to talk to how to deal with social etc etc these guys are future millionaires of America Club all right like they are taught from a very young age what I think has actually happened Scotty is real growth like real growth like real emotional spiritual growth right real settling of himself real finding of his voice this is not scripted this is not oh he learned how to talk this is from the heart it feels all very much from the heart it’s balanced it’s always been balanced he’s always been honest and he’s not stopped being honest he’s just learning to be honest in a way where people cannot poke at him and say oh he’s slow or oh he’s you know dismissive or oh he’s being rude all the things like I mean personally it bothered me so much when people would interpret so much about Scotty from his quote unquote body language that they were misinterpreting all the time and they were saying like oh he’s dismissive oh he’s he’s got an attitude oh he’s got this and that you know oh he’s capping he’s lying he threw his coach under the bus all that [ __ ] about last year with the San Antonio Spurs game I think all the psychoanalysis of Scotty required anyone doing that psychoanalysis and anyone doing that you know let’s call it linguistic analysis on him I think you need to I think you need to understand where he’s coming from I think you need to understand how he speaks you need to understand like a baseline you cannot interpret whether someone is lying unless you can establish a baseline on how they usually talk Scotty just usually talks like that he’s just uh you know and he’s always been straight from the heart and I’ve always appreciated that and I’m and again this is maybe an identification thing I also talk Straight From the Heart Right sometimes I’m gonna tell you like sometimes it does not come out well right it might be passionate it might be really loud right it took me a really long time to figure out how to speak where my my words are not being twisted and misinterpreted so I think he’s come such a long way to understanding the situational appropriateness or um understanding who he’s talking to and how to kind of tailor he’s not code switching he’s not anything he’s still being himself which I really appreciate he’s not code switching at all he’s just learned to construct responses in a way that he’s giving them exactly what they want without taking away anything from the truth and I think that it is it’s probably Garrett Temple it’s probably him um Yasmin Khan if if you keep saying vacation over and over I’m going to ban you actually this is enough ban peace out I don’t understand that’s the stupidest troll ever but all right congratulations I like how the cameraman was ahead on the script he knew Josh was going to ask him about it and he literally panned in as a as a cinematographer I appreciate I appreciate the the thought that went into that you know what I should have done every single time Messiah jury went for the winning I could have done that that’s that’s the whole point of getting this and I totally missed it and now I feel like an idiot all right the next time we do a messiah jury somebody in the chat remind me to use to use the rim shots all right okay week and best of luck to you the rest of the offseason we’ll see you in training camp congrats again thank you and the cameraman was ahead of it the cameraman is in on everything this guy is like the zudar film [ __ ] I feel like we need crickets for this just stare at Bobby Webster’s face as he explains 50% of the cap for Scotty and Emanuel quickly okay okay I was so curious about this this is amazing yes did anyone catch what he said I missed it first time yes contract is flat yes okay this is helpful because that means that we are totally wrong on the cap figure FYI everybody uh spot track everybody needs to correct their numbers y’all have man quickly starting at about 30 million going up to 40 million which was concerning to me you start him flat the contract actually gets better and better and better as you go in my opinion this is great I was honestly I mean this might be crazy and I don’t even know if it was physically it was if it was mathematically possible but I would have really liked for the contract to be in um in front loaded but you know regardless if they flattened it genius move I really like that also honestly no um I don’t know who Emanuel Quickly’s accountant is or financial planner if he needs one holler out your boy but um there’s no there’s no there’s no accountant there’s no planner in the world who’s going to tell you that there that that it’s in your that it’s in your interest to get the money later it’s always in your interest to take the money now if you could literally hand him $170 million right now and pay him nothing for the rest it would be so dramatic because of the time value of money okay this is where uh you know my finance background and my CFA comes in in handy a flat contract is very much better actually for both sides so the only case it wouldn’t be better for both sides is if the Raptors were really close to luxury tax and they couldn’t make that so this is great this is awesome and um it is it is a really big deal for me uh it’s a huge deal because I know it doesn’t seem like a lot right now but when you start thinking four or five years down the line having that $5 million extra or $4 million three and a half million do extra on that on that last year that’s gonna that’s going to matter big time so this is good this is great um so it’s the annual 35 yeah and I mean like look I I again I don’t know what what the incentives are going to be like contract I assume with and and I apologize for those of you who are seeing Bobby Webster’s face Frozen on screen I apologize as I break this down um actually let me just get through this um Allan do less bro do less I don’t know who you are but do less other people’s lives I think this is um Allan you have been banned I’m sorry it’s nothing that you you didn’t cross a line or anything you’re just how can I say this you’re trying to take over the chat and I don’t really appreciate it you’re asking like 15 different questions it it feels very spammy to me um at some point at some point what’s going to happen is we’re gonna have a sound effect that’s going to be Vince McMahon saying you’re fired you know um and that’ll be really funny because I’m a pretty temperamental prickly person and sometimes people get banned you’ve been banned I’m sorry all right um I will get to all the super chats I promise every single question will be dissected and answered in great detail I want to thank everyone who super chated already um really appreciate it thank you what happened oh no did I get stopped can y’all still see me can youall say yes no yes no at all okay check check check let me just check something oh no what yo can you hear me hello hey what’s up I don’t think what what happened to your YouTube stream yeah it’s it’s not live so I’m screwed all right I got a policy violation I’m I’m going to start new I’m I’m going to start a new stream um and in about five minutes y’all call in there all right oh wait wait wa wait Scott Scott saying we back what’s going on we back we’re back you’re live now what okay great okay wait let me just D let me just double check this hold on hold on hold on hold on hold on this is madness Madness I tell you hold on I just want to make sure okay hang on let me just make sure this is live okay if if anyone from YouTube is watching I apologize yes I realized that I played something from TSN that was not my content but I I didn’t I didn’t realize it was like that I didn’t realize TSN was TSN was and Josh lenberg was calling copyrights like that I I didn’t know that that was really weird I wasn’t I wasn’t showing Sports I was showing an interview I don’t I thought that was under fair use I was commenting on it as I was going right come on man come on TSN Okay uh give me one sec here sh take your time are is everyone seeing me everyone seeing me on on YouTube Yo everyone it says it’s all good it’s all good it’s all good super chats are still alive thank God okay good all right how how are you guys doing good yeah yeah okay did did Emanuel say you know what’s crazy when you got cut off literally like I want to say 10 seconds away from the end of Emanuel quickley interview I don’t understand why why they banned it at that point but it was a good question too what was the question how do you balance rebuilding and being competitive essentially the question to IQ but um what was the answer he he got cut off he didn’t answer but you know what’s funny watching that I was thinking to myself Messi I think can comfortably offer IQ and Scotty those fiveyear massive deals and commitment because Scotty is basically the antithesis of Pascal and IQ of Fred in so many ways right mhm they’re not bet on yourself guys they’re they’re bet on ourself guys we’re betting on us and you talked about when when Pascal was asked the question I want to be top five and Scotty was asked all NBA like is that the next step you your goal is all NBA he’s like we we have to win if we win everything comes with it it’s just complete opposites and I feel like it’s just it’s just awesome man it’s just awesome yo um one second one second Michael Fano I’m asked him about Scotty bar pen basketball he shouted you out Rob we talking Scotty on Twitch he shouted me out I appreciate that um according to him yep but um yeah check the clip where’s the clip y I was the one who asked for real I was in stream big up Scotty good you someone dropped the link that’s the clip what’s the clip oh well it’s safe to say it now because Fred’s gone and all that so he can come to like the enemies of the channel are gone so he can he can like comfortably be like yo that that that pinari guy yeah that’s my guy I watch him but before you know what I mean you they were agents of chaos among us so you can’t really say anything um s smok sock I can’t send links in the chat okay so bro we’re what you’re G to do is I’m I’m going to send you my email and we can all watch this together it’s pretty cool uh penar films gmail.com that’s my email actually my email is in the description I don’t know why I’m writing this here but yeah that’s the email that’s in the description for the E transfers and whatnot same email hit me up with that we’ll play it um unless unless Scotty’s goingon to run it run a copy strike copyright strike on me too I’m just kidding um yeah shout outs to Scotty Barnes man I’m I’m I’m very very happy I’m very happy for him I’m very happy for his family um I said this couple years ago that I know that this young man is going to go out into the world and do incredible good it is why I have always supported him as why I will always support him because I know that him being a multi-millionaire is not money in the stripper pocket money in you know car dealership pocket I think it’s Money In community’s Pockets money in you know and this is this is beyond well it goes to the human being you always always want to see um Good People succeed because good people Elevate others and I know that he’s going to do great stuff uh with this money and this is not even close to where he’s going to be uh I think I said it to somebody close to him at some point I said don’t be surprised you turn around at the end of his career he’s earned over a billion dollars it’s GNA happen for sure yep um any any takeaways guys yeah I think um Scotty said it right right that um when they ask him me but winning and stuff like that he really said that he’s not he wants to win right so all the talk of reuting to him is all about winning by the end of the day right the players are still the players I think he going to be green P mhm okay yeah I got you okay we’re going to watch this together guys young teams go ahead yeah yeah we’re actually going to watch this together give me one sec here I’m pull this up that’s uh big big shout outs here to to Scotty bars because this is like it’s pretty cool I know he’s I know he’s been aware of pen basketball for for a long time had trainer on a couple times yes no [ __ ] and I mean there’s there’s a lot of other stuff too but yeah let’s just uh pull this up okay can y’all see this you can see this right yes okay have I ever had a Pinar basketball of course man they be they St uh posting about me you know showing love I love that you know they’re always showing love I mess with that they support me oh Jeff Jeff D playing oh the 76 is playing right now love it good stuff Scotty Barnes you want to replay it one one more time please oh you just you just want to see it you’re proud of yourself fa all right that’s I’m proud of I’m proud of you and the community Have I Ever Had A Pinar basketball of course man they be they they uh post about me you know showing love I love that you know they always showing love I mess with that they support me oh Jeff Jeff di playing oh the6 we got we got a we got a pener basketball shout out and a Jeff dton shout out in the same sentence I love it that’s great and I mess with that man yeah of course man like I mean like there there’s a lot there’s obviously a lot that’s happened behind the scenes and I don’t I’m not one of those people to to be run into the tabloids about everything but we have supported him immensely through every possible means humanly possible in terms of um you know Toronto media sniffing things out understanding who’s got his back understanding who’s where shit’s coming from you know again it’s it’s like a supportive you want you want to support this guy you want to support um you know his his uh his happiness and his future in Toronto and obviously you know it’s difficult when you love your teammates as much as he does to go out and Shout out a channel that’s talking [ __ ] about two three four of your teammates all the time right but since Jaylen McDaniels is gone I don’t have to talk [ __ ] about any of his teammates anymore so it’s perfect um it was nice hearing IQ call Scotty a superstar because I just can’t help but like remember flashbacks cuz it’s like iq’s not a point guard uh the 20232 three season there was Scotty was always going to be the Rook to Fred he was always gonna be the young guy he was always gonna be not a point guard you know what I mean it’s just like he had to go bro like he had to go and yeah and let me just say something about Nurse because it’s like nurse inher like revisionist history is crazy like at the time what we thought was happening but yo nurse inherited I’m just going to break down the last couple years that Messiah was depressed bro he’s almost apologizing you know what I mean and some of the things he’s apologizing for was nurse inherited a championship team exper he inherited a fresh culture right that Casey Demar and and Lowry built and he had Gasol you know Ibaka green and all that was left when that was over was a nurse sakim Fred and they literally destroyed what took so many including Messiah and Bobby and liwicki they destroyed it in seemingly overnight and I think Messi feels betrayed and burned by those guys and and it’s fun man it’s over now though because like all these all these people are in different places and we just I’m just saying he mentions Casey right he mentions Casey and it’s funny how he mentions getting back to who we are build culture back up how the last two years like he’s been talking about that year and a half it’s it’s indirect shots at those three I don’t see how way you can you can slice it right I don’t think it’s I don’t think everything has to be a shot coach Mo I think I think talk no I get what you’re saying but but like it takes it takes kind of backwards person to to to just be taking a joyous moment and then you know uh taking shots people that to rub it’s also that last year’s summer Le team was horrible sure like the the the ballpen was was that’s the other half the ballpen was just horrible yeah yeah yeah but last year this this year summer league is awesome in my opinion summer league team is great what I’m trying to say is I think he’s shutting out coach Casey because genuinely off the cuff he feels a great sense of appreciation for Coach Casey today I was on you know players choice and I said you know I owe I feel like you know we as Raptor fans are indebted to DeMar rosen forever for we the north I believe that he’s a really really big part of that and I believe you know John mamala Leela there’s a lot of people that built that thing up it it goes to one guy Sometimes some people say oh it’s Kyle Lowry oh it’s Messi oh it’s whatever no man it took a lot of people Jeff wman was part of that there’s a lot of people that have to do a lot of good things for a long period of Time shuffle out in and out in and out there are a lot of guys who get lost in that shuffle Jonas valunas Terence Ross uh you know sergy Baka how how impressively you know important was sergy Baka so all these people and I believe the Messi jury used this joyous occasion to shout them out I do want to actually follow in that lead and just say one thing um it’s probably pretty cool for for the community to see Scotty bar shut out it’s pen basketball but notice that he did not say him he he said them he did not say him he’s not talking about me he’s talking about you guys and I think that when he sees a video talking about how he’s a really hard worker or a video where his trainer has gone on to talk about him and he’s seeing 10,000 10,000 views on that when he’s seeing it getting shared when he’s getting sub tweeted and retweeted on it and people are he’s talking about you guys this community is not me this is 10 I’m not 10,600 plus people that’s you guys the callers are not me uh the sponsors that have sponsored us the helpers who have helped us the people who have fed us information from behind the scenes they are not me I did not do this by myself even if I run a live stream by myself you know sometimes to some technical claim hold on one second let me give myself a clap one sec all right awful um even though I can do that by myself I can’t do this by myself the super chats the the super thanks the the Amazon stuff the you know the retweets the reshares the the likes the all that stuff I mean We Grew From nothing we we were nothing this didn’t exist two and a half years ago this literally you ask somebody what’s pensar basketball they be like what’s a what what what what’s what what you know that means to think in Italian it’s nothing you guys helped us grow from nothing to something you made us in my opinion one of the most um if not the biggest not the highest views fine I don’t give a [ __ ] about that I think the most important and most influential Raptor content um you know and whether people want to acknowledge that or not I don’t really give a [ __ ] it’s not an ego this not a dick measuring thing this is not an ego thing what it is however is that when when we’re talking about something in this community when we start talking about it because we are quite you know an impressively large community I sense all those talking points being discussed throughout Rapture land so when we start talking about what Fred Van was doing it became very much mainstream it was literally everywhere we talk when we talk about Jaylen McDaniels we hear Toronto Raptors you know people who are just on the fringes of Sports Net saying I don’t understand where this is coming from but literally I’ve never seen a player more hated than Jay M danels yeah I know where it’s coming from it’s coming from here because we started it right Malachi Flynn the whole thing I don’t want to be the starter of hate honestly I don’t I I I I would like to be the starter of of you know a good thing I always envied the people who got to cover we the north the first time around not really Envy Envy as in like you know I could have done it if I wanted to but I didn’t want to and I didn’t do it at that time but I thought how fun would that be how fun would it be to be on the ground level of something cool something emerging something growing something beautiful and now I get to be and I’m very thankful to this community 10,600 strong plus this going to 20,000 30,000 50,000 will become bigger and bigger and bigger and look man I tell you the truth to this day when I started this people thought I was crazy because I’m a filmmaker podcasting has nothing to do with film making I started this podcast largely to support Scotty that is the 100% truth I was on record saying this very early that I did not want this media space to do to him what they did to Vince it was a very important thing for me and seeing him Thrive now has allowed me to spread my wings as well I don’t have to make 55 videos a year defending him he’s doing that for himself but the support will always be there even if all of our content is not Scotty Barnes is great blah blah blah blah blah this is why he’s great it can it can go into supporting that end goal and at the end of the day Brian I owe Brian a lot a lot not only just for taking the time to do those two interviews and you know to give our community that sort of extra love because he hasn’t done those types of sit Downs with other places like he’s done long interviews but I feel like he got deeper with us than anywhere else and he said you know something to me the first interview he did he said’ look at the end of the day we’re all rooting for the Raptors we’re all rooting for the Raptors and I feel like because he is so growth oriented and because he’s always he’s always trying to teach I feel like he was trying to teach me something too he’s like hey you may not like Fred you may not like Pascal sometimes but at the end of the day this is a team sport and if you’re not supporting the Raptors you’re not really supporting Scotty Barnes right you cannot be tearing down half his team and then still be supporting so I I understood that message implicitly it was a learning opportunity for me as well but I just want to say that as much as you know some of yall are saying www for you know Scotty Barnes shouting P basketball out please understand he not shout me out he did not say Robert he did not say Rob he didn’t say that that guy you know he said them they’re always showing love that’s all of you guys congratulations to you if you feel validated if you feel seen or heard in that moment congratulations give yourself a pat on the back and thank you all right continue all right Rob let me add something quickly on that I think we also need to be really careful how we handle d Davion Bell because we don’t want that negative five to start following him with the Raptors and um he’s in a new team right now right was in a different situation let’s see what happens with him when he Place Raptors same same thing happened with RJ Barett right with all the stuff that happened in New York where he came to Toronto and he was a different player it’s very different with RJ um but I I I agree with you wait and see approach it’s difficult making the trade now cuz you’re not play in Summer League we’re not going to see he’s obviously not playing Olympics wow that was that was a little bit catty let me let me cool it he’s not playing Olympics I’m like he’s obviously not playing summer league we’re gonna play he’s gonna play house league somewhere no I’m just kidding okay daveon Mitchell um I’ll explain I’ll explain my bias right now uh I’ve been battling my boy Leo on Davon Mitchell takes forever I’ve been telling him they were WR on draft night I was like yall wrong for drafting this guy you’re going to regret it and that’s just been my take I understand Davon Mitchell the Prospect and Davon Mitchell the nice overall pick Raptors didn’t spend the nice overall pick when I did um this video yesterday where I was showing all the careers if if y’all caught like why most draft picks fail you caught this video that I did this morning where I like you know kind of just projected out like where all these guys would be eventually yeah like I didn’t project the dve will be out of the league I mean I project him to have a long serviceable career as a role player maybe as a third Stringer maybe as like one of those utility guards I think he has a place I’m curious to see if the Raptors can get more out of him but you’re right uh dark Darko rakovich has been able to communicate with guys incredibly well um I hope that there is some development juice in Davon that we did not get to see H that would be great that would be awesome so you’re right thank you fa for for for that reminder we we will not turn this into the Davon needs to be traded Channel just because we need a Whipping Boy or at all like we don’t um I’m wishing him well thank you sir he’s better than Malachi he’s better than Malik Maliki just catching Strays he’s not even in the NBA right now bro like come on man Mal is Seeking a new contract let’s not let him get that contract first somewhere in the world in what country oh dear God oh my God I’m not going to good there I’m not gonna good there on a positive note I just love the fact that IQ and Scotty like played 2K together because if you ever been in a working environment and you’ve been working in the same place with the same people bonding only happens off work hours not talking about work off work stuff that’s where bonding happens sure it doesn’t happen at work during work or talking about work right that’s where you build relationships and I think these young guys are doing that like they hang out outside of work on social media like there they’re building trust it’s not it’s not just meet for Rico ry’s runs that’s still work that’s still technically a work function right that’s not getting to know each other on a personal level so I think that’s positive too and that’s so nice to see um davier Michelle gry dick and oaji supporting Scotty and um IQ today so when you support other people’s success you end up succeeding down the line no I completely agree and I think that you know the Vibes are great here they are phenomenal honestly like there’s nothing at all hinting towards descent there’s nothing hinting towards Envy satisfaction nothing and it is being weeded out right um it’s great it it is great you know and I think it’s just so impressive that the Raptors were able to build this all up in one year right um I think that I’ve talked about it before that it matters that you have standards as an organization where you can say this is how we do things this is not how we do things and I think it’s still a bit of a black you know black ey for this Raptor organization that you know they they let this slip the way they did a couple of years ago but hopefully it’s a learning lesson something they can move forward with right because I’ll tell you couple years ago not feel like Scotty Barnes was a h very happy player right you did not feel like on the court off the court you were going to get the best version of Scotty Barnes and I did not want in my opinion one of the 50 greatest players in the future I feel 20 years from now we’re going to talk about this we’re going to be putting Scotty in that conversation it’s one thing to ruin the career of a malach kylin or Del OB Bandon right again no offense these are these These are you know possible variables right where there’s if everything goes right for Malachi maybe he’s Payton Pritchard if everything goes wrong for Malachi maybe he’s Malachi right if if that’s the if that’s what’s at stake here I understand that for Malachi’s family and for Malachi it’s a lot but for me personally in terms of like as a basketball enjoyer as an NBA fan as a fan of NBA history and whatever I’m not going to be writing Malachi down on wh ifs of my on My Grave yeah but the wh ifs on Scotty Barnes the variable swing of getting the worst possible outcome versus the best possible outcome is enormous the best possible outcome is you know you enjoy 10 years of a championship window behind a Tim Duncan esque you know level culture Builder not player culture Builder um so we’ll see and you know you fin I got I got a question I got a question on that what do you think do you think Bruno Koko’s Koko’s career would have been different in the in the right environment because you see what he’s doing with brazy right now right taking them to the Olympics I think uh I’ve heard people say this I understand some people think oh well you know they wouldn’t have had you know if they had the 905 before Bruno then they would have been able to put him in the 905 they would have been able to develop him he clearly cares about basketball given that you know you got European clubs fighting over him and he’s one of the best International Players right now really outside of the NBA Bruno kaboko is one of the top 10 12 players and that’s that’s very impressive and I think he’s an NBA player I really do I think if he’s a backup big for you you’re you’re fine he’s good and and honestly I wouldn’t be opposed to the Raptors taking another flyer because you know he’s ready it’s not two years away from two years away he’s he’s fully ready he’s a good player um in a sense I think a lot of what the Raptors became is because Bruno didn’t become what he thought they were going to be they learned from that and you know it’s very tempting when you’re looking back on your life to say oh if I knew what I knew now then that my high school sweetheart and I we would have worked out so great right it would have worked out so beautifully with her but it’s like you don’t know what you know now unless it doesn’t go out so great you feel that pain and I feel the Raptors really felt the pain of Bruno not working out I felt it was very painful for them and um you know to see a player of that Talent level pardon they’re going to use what they learned on the 57th pick this year absolutely and we’ll see right but to anyone you know penciling urri shamsh you know again shout outs to urri shamsh please go follow him on uh YouTube I’m gonna keep saying it man I’m gonna keep saying it just like I said vote for Scotty for Allstar I’m gonna keep saying uh you know go go write URI shamsh a nice thing because honestly you know I believe that believe it’s just nice thing to do for an 18-year-old kid in a new country but he wants rich wants to kill man he wants to kill I like that about him so I love that yeah and I mean you know yeah what what’s he saying here Mike Mike Mike P saying good to see Bruno doing better than bar bar barani barani um I mean Andre barani had a pretty lengthy International career as well but barani is one of the greatest wha ifs of all B bball history in my opinion you know he he really Derk nitzki said in year one when he was a rookie that bani is ahead of him at the same age he didn’t get there by accident right I remember he was he was more athletic he was quick he had a great passing ability he was a good post Defender people really harped on you know what he couldn’t do but man he did a lot of things well and you know in today’s in today’s NBA we don’t expect guys like Miles Turner to be monster rebounders we don’t because we understand that being further away from the basket they’re not going to be as great rebounding but with baryani every single day oh he didn’t crack 10 rebounds again oh he didn’t crack 10 rebounds again I think the pressure got to him I don’t think the culture was right for him and I think like in this first year baryani had you know uro slokar uh Jor gbosa it was just a perfect team for him perfect team to transition he had Maro Gardini here you know just that entire young core of players and and Garbo was really his bet like they really were close rashal was close with him roko Len ukic like these guys they they were they formed a sort of Cocoon of safety for Andrea and you know once he lost that uh Peace by piece it started to really fall apart for him I think jery O’Neal was very supportive of him as well but ultimately it’s it’s a great what if for the Raptors and you burn a first overall pick on a guy that doesn’t really work out for you and you just don’t want that to happen you know multiple times and one of my one of my rules in the draft was you know cash out early right like what the Raptors did with Charlie vinoa right and immediately traded him for tj4 they they knew it wasn’t going to work long term between him and Bosch they burned a seventh overall pick on him but it didn’t matter you just move on right Brian clango came in he moved him right away wasn’t his draft pick he didn’t believe in him but he had scored 48 points he could have sold himself on the what if ISM of oh my God what if Charlie Bova turns into this this this this this I’ll be scor the 48 against the bucks he scored the 48 against the bcks and I bet you the bcks still remember that and they said we’ll take him yeah and of course 48 points ever again honestly both those teams honestly the Raptors in the bucks at that point pretty much got off of players that didn’t work out right TJ for the injury unfortunately but really huge part of that 47 win team for the Raptors right and I really like that 47 win team personally so yeah um any final thoughts guys just looking forward to the summer league and we’ll go from there I’m excited about the Summer League this year for once me too one of the best Rost ERS in a long time coach Mo any final thoughts oh yeah um I’m just randomly remembering this when Scotty said work hard go to the G League he’s saying what he’s saying is work hard and take whatever path and options are necessary it’s not do this because I did it and free you know free opportunities are handed out it wasn’t that right there’s there’s a difference exactly and and I think the Raptors have this idea of like Fred Van Pascal seak being this just brilliant blueprint but look at the Players they’re bringing in now how many lottery picks are on this team right there’s so many right technically davon’s a lottery pick RJ’s a lottery pick Grady’s a lottery pick Scotty’s a lottery pick right so you’re getting more and more of these guys and who knows probably next year you’re going to get a lottery pick too maybe you get a lottery pick I want say probably because I don’t want to bet but I’m not betting against Scotty Barnes but you know you might get a lottery pick again you might get a lottery pick in 2026 you might get multiple lottery picks 2026 I have no idea but I’m saying like they’re not they’re not opposed to building through the lottery it just so happens that they were a good basketball team and I do think that you know Messiah Jer never got a chance to rebuild in Toronto he never got a chance to properly rebuild in Toronto they were always successful he tried and he failed at rebuilding it’s one of those funny things where it’s like you can’t do anything right MSI he couldn’t even tank right and you know the we the north starts and the media machine and the winning and you can’t tear AP part A team in Toronto that just 47 games 48 games you just can’t right we know the we the north he tried to tank early but it it backfired what do you think was the goal Scotty’s rookie year they just came off the Tempa tank they ended up winning 48 games but what do you think the front office’s mindset was heading into Scotty’s rookie year let’s say like I think it was uh to be competitive and to make it back to the playoffs I mean I I understood implicitly that they you know the thing is everyone knew well I mean I don’t want to say everybody knew but I think a lot of people knew when Scotty was drafted that this was going to turn over to him right I mean Kendrick Perkins the Insight insightful basketball mind that was Kendrick Perkins on draft night said let’s pour one out for spicy P because you know it’s over there and I didn’t want to believe it at the time I believed that Scotty and you know him could play together and and I still believe that they could play together it’s just not optimal the timeline is not perfect and clearly the personal fit was not great between him and Fred naturally going forward but I I do resent this concept where people say oh you lost Fred for nothing you lost this for nothing you lost that for nothing because in the end you don’t have a manual quickly in Toronto signing this deal if you don’t lose Fred first you don’t have an OP you don’t have an opening for starting point guard job right if you didn’t have a manual quickly right now I guarantee you probably you could probably get Markel on a really cheap why because you have an opportunity you know what I mean so this this concept of losing guys for nothing is a really washed really stupid really backwards way of looking at basketball or life in general when you lose your girl girlfriend you know what you know what you gain you know if you break up with a girl what you get you don’t lose her for nothing you know what you got back you got back an opening you got a job opening congratulations right think of the positive side you don’t see it as like that loss aversion is really real um and I think too many people think think about life in this terms you know and it’s just not it’s it doesn’t work that way and I think that’s that’s what’s going on around the discussion around Bruce brown right now oh my side what are we going to go for him and you know what if you can trade him you keep him and see what happens MH absolutely all right guys thanks a lot for calling in appreciate y’all and I’m going to get to the super chats and stuff but yeah all right later all cheers see y okay now let’s get to the super chats I appreciate you guys and I’m so happy the stream was not permac canell because I was trying to screenshot this because the last time this happened it was disastrous I got to learn how to how do other people stream stuff because I don’t want I don’t want this channel to get like a strike or something Dylan Shu do you think non-star players on near Max contracts are some of the worst team building contracts now due to the second apron Bill simmit said the Celtics are projected to pay $250 million in tax in 2026 um I get what you’re saying right the shrinking of the middle class in the NBA is very real and a lot of teams well a lot of agents are finding out right now the teams are simply not willing to pay your $20 million player so basically you can thank Grant Williams and I think CJ McCollin for this whoever signed the new CBA from the players side from the players union side because they really did screw the middle class player there are no more Allen Krabs and you know timf Moss gos getting that big money right you could argue that’s also very rational and those guys proba should have never earned that money in the beginning with right and and and I honestly I am not a communist I am not I’m not of that mind okay if if you are super left leaning I’ll respect you um if you’re super right leaning I will you know respect you but and when it comes to you know when when it comes to dispers uh in terms when when it comes to the division of money when it comes to I’m I’m very much of the mind of earn what you earned you know get what you earned right so yeah do I believe LeBron James earns should earn a lot more than Bradley Beal yeah I do I think LeBron should earn a lot more than Bradley Beal right that’s not because I’m favoring with the 1% let’s be let’s not be stupid here these guys are all 1% right but in terms of equity ownership you know how I see the world I’m not I’m not one of those like labor class you know uh people who’s like petitioning for unions and [ __ ] that’s not to say I don’t support blue collar workers I believe you yo same rules apply all sides you earn what you what you sweat what you earn right so the middle class is really getting shafted in this new CBA I’m not sure how I feel about it but that’s not what you asked me what you asked me was is that a bad contract is it is it tough to have hypothetically if you know we’re talking about non non-star players on near Max contracts we’re talking about someone like well this is where I say are you talking about Jeremy Grant or are you talking about ogan anobi right and I guess I’ll answer with yes but it depends there’s a certain type of non-star and again it depends on how we’re defining stars that I think are fine really and that is the ogn and Obi um Rudy goar right in that range defensive Specialists are fine for me right High portability guys guys who fit into a lot of different schemes and lineups they are okay for me what would not be okay for me RJ Barett on $38 million would be crazy Emanuel quickly at 35 million is pushing it a little bit let’s be real unless he gets a lot better it’s pushing it um Josh giddy Josh Giddy and you know Kate Cunningham if if the Bulls extend Josh giddy for $30 million a year and you know the Pistons have already extended Cade for north of $40 million a year yeah yeah those are those are really really tough contracts um I do believe at some point because these star players are so coveted it could become such a case that a contract like Emanuel quickle can be a tough building block but I believe that the Raptors probably viewed this in tandem they probably viewed Scotty’s deal and Emanuel quickley deal and Grady’s deal and Jonathan Mobile’s deal they probably looked at all these guys and said okay the first two years of Emanuel Quickly’s contract and this is why I was so happy about the flat just to anyone out there who’s a little bit confused about why I’m so happy about saving $4 million four years from now the first few years of Emanuel Quickly’s contract he’ll be at about 23 22% 21% is of the cap because as the cap goes up his contract becomes cheaper and cheaper relative to the cap by the end of it I think he’ll be at 17 which is incredible and that was never possible if it scaled with so if it went up 8% 8% 8% as we were expecting as the cap goes up 10% 10% 10% at best the best case scenario on that contract was going to be 20% now you get to 17% I’ll tell you why that also matters because the the first few years where it’s tough for you where you say oh there’s a little bit of an overpay here there’s a chance you get a little bit of an underpay on the rest of your roster specifically year one of Emanuel quickle overlaps with year four rookie contract Scotty Barnes so you get a massive discount consider it this way let me diagram this for you Scotty Barnes plus the man quickly next year will cost how much I will assume that people are chatting in the live I can’t see it but Scotty Barnes plus a milon quickly next year will be roughly I want to say hold on 35 45 46 47 47 million is Scotty’s about 11 12ish I don’t know something like that that is perfectly acceptable so the first bad year of Scotty sorry the first bad year uh you know the first year is going to be the worst with man quickly 35 million in this cap environment is going to be I want to say 23 % 24% of the cap right around there so that’s going to be the bad year and it’s offset by how good a contract Scotty has it’s also marginally offset by how good a contract you’re getting like actual Ro you’re actually devoting real rotation minutes from rookies like four or three three to four of the guys who are actually be playing substantial minutes for you on rookie contracts so again it’s very cheap year two will be year the lowest year of Scotty and if Scotty really does jump up to like Superstar level next year well then congratulations Scotty plus RJ plus man quickly will be a cheap Trio going forward my point is by the time Emanuel quickly by the time the roster around Emanuel quickly gets expensive Emanuel quickly will become cheap that’s I think I feel so much better about the flattening Lots okay that’s that’s that um maroon Prince great live Rob feel this one’s shaping up to be a classic well I mean we got cut out by TSN so I guess there’s a part of classic and Scotty Barnes shouted up P basketball so yes this will probably become one of those ones that we have to pin and talk about once in a while um love these macro discussions in the dog days of summer question I feel in the fourth Scotty at the five can already create Elite closing lineups who closes with him um that’s great that’s a that’s that’s a good question Scotty at the five creates Elite closing lineup so personally I don’t want to see Scotty closing at the five I understand in specific matchups why you might want to and I and I can I I can justify that I mean I can I can see that but do I necessarily want to be doing that against OKC where they’re multiple seven-footers on the court and I have to put Scotty in the dunker spot defensively I have to put him at the rim and it’s kind of taking away from something really good that he’s going to be doing and I’m fortunately going to be more of a shot blocker and I don’t want to do that right so I understand why schematic and offensively it might make you very Dynamic defensively I could see Scotty his lowest position being four and His Highest position being two so I think like a lot of the he can guard one through five stuff might be a little bit overblown but I think he can definitely guard two through two through four and we see we we’ve seen him guard joic we’ve seen him guard embiid we’ve seen him guard Steph Curry and he has performed admirably however sustainably long term you know going forward especially as his load ticks up offensively I would like to see him defensively on that end now offensively yes that is very you know Draymond on steroids death lineup and it’ll be really interesting again team philosophy wise the tronto Raptors can just put Shooters around him right so you could put RJ Barrett at the four Grady at the three maybe um you put IQ at the two and you know someone like Davon at the one or something and that maybe like you just become really athletic and stout and you know um or maybe going forward right it’s not going to happen right away but maybe if you’re if you’re going to go that small maybe put Jonathan mobo at the four and Scotty at the five RJ at the three Grady at the two IQ at the one right so you just become transition Terrors and you know you’re spraying out the shooters um that could be interesting too personally my favorite lineup with Scotty would probably see him at small forward right and it would have you know um RJ kinic right so kinic RJ Barrett play playing with him Emanuel quickley Grady dick so yeah something something like of that sort because you get enough movement Shooters right you get a manual quickly RJ Barrett um RJ Barrett’s like really good at at punching gaps like he’s really good at you know attacking some space between you know whatever gaps are exposed in the in the defense and then you get Grady and uh Emanuel quickley who are pretty smart players who are able to come off of curls and you know take dribble handoffs and and put a lot of pressure on the defense to create those gaps and if Scotty’s handle has transcended and gotten a lot better I could see a world in which he can also do a little bit more that downhill attack but if nothing else if his shot has gotten better he can also provide a little bit of spacing and then of course you know we can also run you know pinch post uh you know offense through Scotty where all these guys are now moving around him which is great you get um a playmaker at the very top in Kelly oen I mean again every big in this offense whether we’re talking Jonathan mobo playing small ball 54 whether they’re talking Kelly Lin whether they’re talking yaka purle every one of them is constantly moving constantly screening constantly passing and they’re good Playmakers playmaking seems to be the fundamental non-negotiable for every Raptor player coming in right so it doesn’t really matter to me like ultimately you know who you’re going to be spraying out to you can definitely have a crazy lineup where where you have jacobe Walter Grady dick plus Emanuel quickly and then Kelly linic how’s that spacing for you you know you put Scotty Scotty in the pinch post dare someone to Double Down set some screens away from the basketball have someone coming off like the curl coming to the corner and boom you know launch in threes launching you know the spacing would be just beautiful and honestly as as much as some people might be done on RJ Barrett I would also love to see RJ Barrett with that lineup before Shooters right it could be really interesting so I think very exciting things are possible for this team going forward I’m having some connectivity issues again uh maybe it is time to get a new computer indeed uh vegan grass saying where are y’all seeing Scotty shouting out pensar uh yep we we saw it thank you so much vegan grass and and honestly it’s he I mentioned earlier he shouted out the whole Community it wasn’t me um he’s just shouting everyone out so congratulations to all of you for sure make sure to hit like And subscribe um this is pretty much going to be oh so this is just I’m going to go on Twitter and see a whole bunch of people trolling me I’m sure there going to be like what’s Scotty doing trolling this uh you know shouting out this Glazer or whatever I don’t know that’s I mean it is what it is appreciate the gesture Scotty Barnes um but do not bring negativity to yourself on uh on on such a joyous day is what I would say anyways um thank you guys so much for tuning in thank you for putting up with our little technical um vegan grass saying but where I missed it there a clip yeah there is a clip hold on I’ll I’ll show you again hang on I think I still have it right or did I lose it hang on um hang on one sec oops um there you go Have I Ever Had A P basketball of course man they be they they uh posting about me you know showing love I love that know they always showing love I mess with that they support me oh Jeff Jeff D playing oh the 76 is playing right now

The Toronto Raptors dropped a ton of news today about their future, hinted at a direction, and guess what? They’re preaching to the choir. Scottie Barnes and Immanual Quickley were on hand to meet the media and sign their lucrative long-term deals. The words work and winning were said 836 times, shattering the previous world record held by Charlie Sheen of 94.

This team is buying their own hype. Or they’re selling season ticket holders on unfounded and unreal hopes and dreams. Either way, the direction is clear. The execution and pathway to realizing those hopes and dreams? Well, that’s going to come down in large part to the Raptors newly minted max player, who at 22 signed the most lucrative deal in Raptors history.

  1. I’m enjoying these slightly shorter
Lives this one’s a bit longer but the ones you have been doing recently are much easier to fit into my day keep up the good work

  2. Cheers for once again being NON Fanboy. So different then most, intellectual, and open discussions where different mindsets are for the most part, unless they are arrogant, welcomed. Made this Old Man happy again, lol.
