  2. Moviereference210

It’s gonna be so weird cheering for this dude

  3. TTUSpurs_fan

It’s wild that I’m suddenly going to be defending all suspect/dirty shit he does. Truly one of those guys you hate to play against but love on your team.

  4. Southern_sky

Looking forward to CP(insert # here) giving us something to cheer for

  5. callmearookie

go spurs from chris paul are words i would have never thought i would hear in my entire life. super excited!

  6. paxusromanus811

I’m going to go out in a limb and predict that the fandom is going to fall madly in love with this dude. He’s very easy to hate from the outside, but I haven’t found a single fandom he played with that had an overall sour opinion of him.

Even warriors fans Have been high on him.

It’s extremely ironic that he’s going to likely retire without a championship because the dude is one of the all-time great winners. He’s obsessed with it, his game is conducive to it, and he’s so damn smart. I really hope he goes out with a bang if this is indeed his final year and if not, I hope he plays super well and parlays the season into a key role on a championship. Contender down the road

This is going to be an exciting season

  8. I’ve always loved him despite how a lot of people feel. I even still have a pair of his shoes from 10 years ago when I was in high school!

  9. irrelevance_90

I hope our young guys are ready to learn everything they can from him. Can’t wait to see Tre becomes a middie god and Castle averaging a 4.0 AST/TO with first team All Defense.

  10. tskillz187

That cute smile. I’ve hated you my whole life, but now I’ve seen the light. Kisses CP3!

  11. seceipseseer

Ah fuck. Is this guy gonna be our next coach?

  12. No-Newspaper8600

Go spurs go. Get it right or pay the price.

  13. HistoryH22

Def never thought this would happen. Looking forward to seeing what he brings to the team.

  14. Let’s say this season is a success. Do you think he extends? Unsure of his cost.

Or does he go to like Boston or Philly for example for a ring?

Trouble is he’s better off contributing to rebuilding teams, vs being on a contender imo

  15. _Tar_Ar_Ais_

don’t like his antics but he is the point god for a reason, Spurs will be pretty good this upcoming season

  16. He’s a true professional

This is an amazing opportunity for these young guys to be coached up on the floor

I hope he stays healthy. His presence speeds up the clock on this team’s potential.

He will get offenses in their set early enough to have a chance at more success in the half court offense. Should be a great assist/to ratio for a vet his age. It’s a win for all the experience we are getting at a justifiable price. Im rooting!!

“see what we got a chance to do” To me this says he’s at least committed to seeing how the whole season plays out possibly? This Spurs group is currently severely underrated. We’ll have sophomore year Wemby with a full year of NBA experience & chemistry with pretty much an entire returning team, with Castle now, being lead by CP & Barnes. Last year was obviously major growing pains but still Wemby shined and we as a team put up fights against contenders. This coming year the only teams in the west that’ll be super tough are Mavs, Wolves, and OKC, (DEN is on a downward trend imo) yet we’ve shown we can complete with them even at our lowest. Obviously this is wishful thinking but we’ve shown flashes of being THE SPURS already. If we can make it to the playoffs I think Pop & company will have enough time to adapt to maximize Wemby’s chances at success from game to game. Aside from the Sochan experiment, SO MANY games last year were lost due to a lack of experience. So yeah if we win the west we win the championship.

    OR

We just win like 15 more games, CP leaves mid-season, keep yelling at Collins to stop shooting 3s and we aim for the 25 draft 😮‍💨

All right. Fine. I’ll like Chris Paul. But you can’t make me like it.

  20. SuccotashConfident97

I’m hyped for it. A competent point guard who’s looking to feed Wemby. Let’s go! GSG!

I have never really had an issue with Christ Pauls character or who is as a person. Always enjoyed his game, and this is a bit off topic but Chris Paul has my all time favorite NBA related gif
