just a thought on being here getting ready for summer league yeah no it’s super excited um to actually be here and um meet the guys and meet all the coaches you know it’s it’s unreal feeling and super excited for the summer league coming up what’s the process been like for you yeah just a lot of work um you know past two months is the pre-draft process and um yeah just a lot of training working on my shot and um yeah just to get to this point hear my name get called and um yeah it’s just back to work really who was that pre-draft process like who’ you get to meet here what were those workouts like and then finally getting picked by the team in the second round there yeah so the Celtics was actually my first first workout out of the 16 I did so yeah it was just a lot um coming here first you know you don’t really know what to expect first workout and I thought I did a good job you know I shot it well played well and then um got injured at the g-league combine so you know I had to come back and do a lot more workouts and those workouts I started to pick them up towards the end so yeah it was just kind of didn’t really know what was going to happen draft night and I knew the Celtics like me and um you know Brad Stevens you know he gave me the call and it was yeah Best Day of My Life what’s the perception of the Celtics you know they won the championship the physicality what’s your take on this team yeah just winners um Legacy you know just the mentality towards everything um first time you know we met in here um they said it’s different here so um that’s kind of that’s kind of the vibe you get here and um yeah I think they got the right approach on things BR Brad talked to you even during the preff process about shooting without hesitation letting it Fly what is the Celtics empowering you even during the pre draft process do for your confidence and just that willingness to let it fly without hesitation yeah um obviously hearing it from Brad um that’s that’s a good man to hear it from um Let It Go Let It Fly and I feel like I got a good shot and yeah I just got to I just got to be more confident with it let it let it fly in practice and um yeah shoot as much as I can cuz you know something to take most threes in the NBA how the first two days of practice gone here and what’s uh what’s the message from the team so far from the coaches when you’ve been out there yeah the first two days been good um I think Energy’s been good defense everything um but yeah I think energy is the biggest thing just making sure everyone brings spirit and um yeah first two days been really good actually so what did you do on draft night did you have like family over what what was that like when you’re on the second day I mean what was that whole process like to kind of wait for that second day late in the afternoon that day yeah it it was for sure a long day but um you know I got a suite at a hotel with my family and um just kind of watching it it’s pretty nerve-wracking but uh yeah once it got to around pick 51 started pacing around the room and then I told my family I got picked and yeah it was just all emotions from there what’s it like to walk into this place to see the banners and and tell to the defending champs what’s your your reaction been what’s the family and friends been like oh it’s special yeah um yeah just like I said the Legacy here and um just yeah when you look around walk around you just see all the all the trophies I came in yesterday the trophy was on the Center Court and yeah it just shows it just shows uh you know what it takes to be here where do you see yourself kind of fitting in the NBA in a defense and an offense and how’s kind of your conversations on with Brad about kind of what your outlook’s going to be like here to work toward eventually fitting in with this team yeah uh shooting is obviously a big piece um kind of like that Alor for role you know he he a great shooter I think learning from him was going to be huge for me and actually all the veterans on this team but yeah shooting is going to be huge and um just my defense using that to my strengths um coming out and guarding every single game um that’s going to be big for me but yeah shooting’s going to open up my offens offens ability but um defense that’s where I’m strong at have you heard have you heard from Al Horford at all uh yeah he sent me a text you know he’s probably enjoying enjoying the last couple weeks he needs a little break you know man’s been balling when you see him play what do you what do you see in him yeah just just a veteran like cool calm Collective you know every time he plays and um you know he’s just just solid every time and kind of holds the team together um but yeah he’s been playing for a long time so you know that’s that’s one of the best veterans in the league so what what is about that Kaka program see you guys seem to play the right way I mean good make good solid Pros fundamentally sound guys what what was that last five years like yeah I just got to give credit to all the coaches and the players that came through there um you know they make it easy easy for me um I played with so many good players so many good teams and yeah we we like winning over there too so um losing we don’t take that easy there and um yeah just just how we’re coached and how we play um we feed off each other so it’s it’s pretty much a family community over there for us your your threo percentages have gone up pretty steadily every year in college what went into that Improvement is there anything different with your shot or is it just confidence taking it more I think it’s just confidence taking it more in games um I shoot a lot in practice and um yeah I get a lot of reps up but shooting it more in games it’s only going to make make my confidence better Anon you mentioned Al sent you a text when you got drafted anybody else from the organization reach out before you actually got here uh jayen or Jason and then um uh Derek Joe coach coach missou um they all they all hit me up so you know that’s super special especially on draft night you know it’s don’t don’t really know how to react to that when you’re getting all the text but it no it’s super super cool than you very much y thank you thanks
