Zach edey against Walker Kessler in his first summer league game, 14/15/1 on 7-12 shooting and 5 blocks

Could have done easy 20/15 if gg Jackson knows how to pass a ball

But it’s okay JA will do that

Kessler 10/6 a guy teams want to trade a first round pick for

Edey dominated him, looks like a grown man out here

Memphis gonna be scary and exciting to watch

How the fuck does gg Jackson shoot 0-10 from 3 and 6-20 from field

    Edey has cured my ED

Edit: #EDforEdey would have been such a good tanking motto

  2. Im__Ron__Burgundy

Memphis’ inability to throw an entry pass was pissing me the hell off.

Also seeing a game end on free throws blows.

  3. Main-County-1177

Weak move calling that foul on game point!! /s

  4. OnxyCarter

there were multiple game winning moments that gg completely sold on

  5. DaggerDev5

He looked good. Got swatted a few times but I think he’ll realize what he can and can’t do in the NBA. Curious to see him play defense against more NBA players but he’s so big he can guard the paint really easily. He and JJJ should be a good duo

  6. istealpintsfromcvs

dont care about the L, this was all I needed

  7. GG played some of the most horrendous basketball ive seen this year

  8. Projinator

Ja is going to absolutely feast with Edey in the pick and roll

  9. Thunder-ten-tronckh

Ja is about to hit so many fucking floaters this season.

  10. AccomplishedRainbow1

He was a monster. He made some mistakes and was out of position a few times but he moved super well out there today and did a good job of contesting at the rim. Set some absolutely nasty screens.

Pretty awesome how watching that game quickly went from “I wonder how he’ll match up with NBA talent” to “Holy shit they need to get him the ball for a bucket”

  12. ShaiFanClub

I think people are overreacting when they say he will get killed on defense. Dude is an absolute menace in the paint and he probably will fare fine in drop. Especially with Smart, Bane, and JJJ around him

Keyonte George had 30 points on 5-21 FG and made 17 FTs. Summer league we’re back baby

  14. jjkiller26

Edey’s screens are actually crushing. I think every PnR he ran with Pippen resulted in a good look from somewhere on the court.

That pick n roll with Ja should be a lot of fun

Can’t believe it was a debate that he would be a late 1st/2nd round pick

  16. JokerInside1

Might be some of the worst and most selfish basketball I’ve seen from GG that entire OT… and I’m a believer in GG 😅

George getting hyped after bricking all game and getting 20 FTs in Summer League was something to see lmao

Edey and Collier looked great in my opinion.

Don’t forget GG’s travel on our last posession

GG is super talented but still raw. He’s actually still the youngest guy on our summer league team

  18. Yinanization

No need to shit on our Prince, it is the summer league.

He will get it next game

  19. printerpaperwaste

It was kind of insane how none of them would pass to him

  20. Fair-Border-9944

Embiid knee is definitely flaring up when Memphis is in town

  21. Username-287

Dude will multiply his teammates’ impact on the court with him. Those screens, the overall BBIQ, just the factor of him being there that players must account for will be a whole lot to deal with for an opposing team.

Keep in mind this guy has only been playing basketball for 6 years. So that’s an incredibly good learner in a 7’4 300 lbs. body.

A lot of players are going to enjoy playing next to him.

  22. Seymour_Says

The Ja/Edey Pick n Roll will be fun to watch. Ja will feast with all the space created like he did with Adams plus will feed Edey easy looks all day. CAN’T WAIT

  23. Chessh2036

He’s currently got the second best odds to win ROTY in Vegas, might be a very good bet.

  24. BacktoDRagain

All of a sudden this team is looking for real.

  25. hejendo76

Walker Kessler played on Team USA last year btw. The SENIOR team

  26. boydivision30

Jury’s still out on how he’ll do obviously, one thing is for sure though, for a huggggge man he has some fckin motor in him.

  27. -Shooter_McGavin-

Never understood why people wanted to avoid him like the plague. The dude is a behemoth, well worth taking the chance on in an otherwise unimpressive draft class.

  28. SandyMandy17

If he’s doing that against Kessler with the amount of minutes memphis needs him to play I’d argue he’s a ROY front runner

  29. MikeConleyIsLegend

If Edey is Steven Adams with offensive touch the Grizz are right back in it. The rebounding and screening alone will be huge for Ja and Jaren. If we keep Kennard we’ll have to sharpshooters in him and Bane. I really hope we can sign Lowry as a backup PG. Imagine the rage a Lowry, Smart, Vince Williams, Jaren Jackson Jr, Edey lineup would evoke.

  30. TheMoorNextDoor

He’s gonna be a dog and I’m happy he was chosen in the Lottery.

Grizzlies got a dog. I wanted him on my Nets.

I’m telling people him and the pick and roll/pick and fade game is going to be so damn ridiculous, Ja will eat or get 10+ assist a game.

People really thought a 40 ppg college legend would be a bad NBA player for stupid reasons… he gonna make people eat the words, he got that dawg in em.

  31. alienswillarrive2024

Should’ve been the #1 pick, if Memphis features him on offense he’s going to feast inside.

  32. Paw_Opina

The wolves lost that trade. Kessler much better that Booty Gobert /s

  33. AnkitPancakes

He’ll fit right into the Steven Adams role that Memphis desperately needs to fill. Happy for my boy

  34. Shootit_Rockets

Anyone who watched Zach Edey play should not be surprised he is doing well in Summer League.

  35. This performance isn’t shocking and he should’ve been fed the ball if they were serious about winning late in the game. Anyone shocked by this didn’t watch him play in college. He’s ready to play now. This was obvious if you watch the tape. He’s a monster.

How will he fare during the regular season against some elite talent? Really hard to say. Interested to see how Memphis works him into the game plan because he might be a problem for other teams to deal with.
