The linked article doesn’t say that? Here’s the only thing the article mentions about the Clippers: “Teams like the Milwaukee Bucks and LA Clippers could use Ingram to boost their title chances, but would have trouble assuming the massive financial risk of acquiring him.” That’s it.

How would this trade even work? The Clippers are roughly six million below the first apron. We cannot have a sign and trade that puts us over that figure. I tried messing with the trade machine and could not find a combination of players that work. Let alone, a combination that New Orleans would want right now. If I was running the Pelicans, I would probably want to wait this out until the trade deadline. Maybe a more desperate team shows up.
