Demar Rosen signing trade to make a Zack LaVine trade more desirable now I don’t know if we we’ve heard that the Bulls have Flo around first round picks I don’t know if adding a couple of seconds is going to do anything there unless they’re saying add seconds to the first round pick that they’ve already offered what are you thinking Pat well I mean listen Maybe maybe getting the two seconds back was an opportunity knowing that right because if you offer the Portland pick Portland’s the Portland pick is dead right it’s not going to be a first round pick there’s no time where Portland’s going to work this out if that pick does not come to fruition what is it 2026 I believe the protections end on that pick orpic 2028 it’s all the way out to2 what kind of deal is that but that’s why they said that that was such a bad like I can’t remember who the TR Blazers GM was at that time but it’s like he didn’t understand how protections work the fact that they protected it that far it meant that they can’t trade any first round pick for that whole time because the stepan rule it’s just it was stupid it was it was weird and they’ve done nothing with any of them but uh till 2028 right like if you offer that Portland pick Portland is not going to be in a winning situation in my mind anytime soon from now until 2028 maybe they get lucky and catch a miracle right and it works out for the Bulls so that would have turned into two second round picks essentially and maybe that’s kind of the Bulls bargaining chip there but now you got the two second round picks outright you can offer that up to attach that to a Zack LaVine trade kind of saying basically hey here’s the same thing but you’ll get this sooner than you would get it with the Portland pick um but outside of that I mean listen I think it just continues to further The Narrative of kind of where the Bulls are right now with the Zack LaVine trade value and and it is not in a good place right now and I think that you know the fact that you have to attach assets you don’t want to attach first round draft Capital to try and move one from Zack LaVine but I don’t know if two second round picks is enticing enough to be like oh my god well that was what we were missing there you know we’ve been missing those late round guys that we’re really trying to hit on right now like I don’t think any team is really out here looking for those two second round picks and so I guess it helps it does improve the deal in a sense right but at the end of the day it’s not it’s not like you turned Zack the Zack LaVine situation on its Heels by attaching two second round picks to it and I I guess listen if you got the extra picks to do it maybe that is the case maybe you’re in the best case scenario right where you’re you’re attaching a Portland pick and two second round pi take it all we don’t need none of this no more just please get them off the team it’s very it’s a very sad spot uh where where this conversation is really gone it really is it like it at the end of the like if your if your hopes and dreams of moving a player that has averaged 25 points per game hinges on throwing in you throwing in a couple of more second round picks that’s just not a good spot to be in my boy like I don’t know what else to tell you there like yeah I mean and here’s here’s my thing with it right like now you’re talking about trying to and I don’t know if you saw the uh um what is old boy name he he writes for uh is it Stephen no or Steph no Stephan no something like that he he wrote a very interesting article talking about how Zack lavine’s worth is is actually being blown out of proportion and people are taking the the uh uh taking it to the extreme a very well-written article I thought it was a very good read um but basically that you know Zack lavine’s worth how people are trying to diminish it is not what everybody’s saying it is right like and there was even a part in there where you know how I’ve talked about how he’s the losingest player in NBA history or not NBA history I don’t know if he’s that bad he’s the losingest player in the NBA right I think currently right now for players that over played over 500 games something like that he’s losing his player and he was like well also have to look at it from the fact that he’s had 10 head coaches in his time he’s had you know like in in his time in the NBA he’s had the Minnesota timber wolf situation he’s dealt with the injuries in the beginning he’s dealt with uh uh Fred not Fred hyberg uh Jim boand who I mean listen you’re gonna lose a lot of games with Jim band’s at the helm right and Fred hoyberg for that matter too yeah a little bit Yeah but but like all of these situations that just spoke to I know was gone he wasn’t he he was there for part of Fred Fred was fired halfway through the season remember okay okay and Jim took over uh but but why does that LaVine situation is where it is and while I disagree with parts of it I do think that the sentiment of his value is not simply tied to him winning or losing games or the contract itself because the contract is not bad basically all the things that we’ve said but like it’s almost a combination of everything that has them in this that’s what I’ve said before when I’ve described it as a VIN diagram it’s like everything overlapping at the right time between narrative injury the Bulls losing like whatever else it’s it’s a VIN diagram of things that are all overlapping and that’s what’s causing the devaluation of Zach and of course they’re going to communicate it as one way but like you know people lose context is as things happen you get further and further away from the context the context is communicated less and less like I’ve heard communicated so many times well Zack LaVine has the lowest winner percentage like yeah but go look at those teams it’s not very many players in the NBA that could have turned those teamsam the other part that he brought out in the article that I thought was good was he was like 76 of Zack lavine’s 110 teammates are not in the NBA that’s crazy that was the part I was goinging out crazy it was like when you break things down in a certain way but again right like here’s my question here’s my question and I answer this in the comments below as well I know it’s different now because we’re currently in the CBA but have we not seen players with the same storyline as Zack LaVine be moved and this is why I’ve said it’s got to be something we’re not hearing that we don’t know is Bradley Beal not that same situation like Bradley was traded right before everybody was like this contract you dig is coming y’all just to figure it out when it get there yeah I think the Bradley Bill situation uh Bradley Bill also gets I think he comes from one of those franchises where they just give the benefit of the doubt to say Hey you play for the war the Wizards like come on man but no but my my point is yes I agree with you but I mean listen I think right now the Bulls are that it’s like well play for the Bulls you know what I mean like I’m not going to sit here and pretend like they’re not but I I think the the situation of big contract talented player heck of a talent injury-prone and doesn’t win a lot Bradley Bill’s two winning situations are with Russell Westbrook and with John Wall outside of that he has not a part been a part of any winning that’s a fact like it’s it’s we saw that get moved again before the current CBA was in place but you knew the current CBA was coming you knew he was on that contract and we we’re seeing so much push P back on a Zack LaVine move I do Wonder like I’m almost on my windy right now like what’s going on over there what are y do what y do what are y’all doing over there so think about this for a second I mean like I’m a little confused by this so yeah I mean at some point at some point there’s gonna be a team that’s willing to bite and the Bulls have to hope that when that when that time comes that not as not too much damage has been done to whatever their plan is going forward um and that that that’s something that’s hard for us to say now we can say what we think it’s going to be but you know I I put something on Twitter today asking people um if they thought this was going to be a team that was going to contend for a playoff spot a playin spot or whatnot and everybody the answers were all over the place so you know ultimately I think that the Bulls are going to have to they’re going to get to a point where they have to take if if truly as much as we’ve been heard that they want to move Zack LaVine if the value doesn’t increase they’re going to have to get to a point to where they’re just going to have to take the deal that’s there and uh as I’ve been saying Bulls fans prepare to be very disappointed by that deal that they oh listen at this point if you’re if you’re expecting to be excited by whatever deal comes back if there’s even a deal to come back yes Pat there are still bull there are still Bulls fans that that still hold out hope that that’s the case bro there are still Bulls fans that still hope that Derrick Rose is some teams that are hoping on Better Health uh over the course of the Season as well I’m going to throw this one to upad right now as you look at things where do you see the Bulls ranking in the Eastern Conference right where we left off ninth or 10th everybody else got better everybody the everybody we we kind of did this exercise I want to say we did this Friday’s episode where you you went through like I mean legitimately everybody else became a better basketball team in the East yeah everybody like all the top eight teams I don’t see any of those changing as far as being in the top eight the positioning may change some but the Celtics Knicks bucks Cavaliers Orlando Magic Pacers 76ers heat I still see them all being the top eight teams I guess stayed the same yeah I’m just saying I still see them all staying in that place right and you look at the teams below the Bulls the Atlanta Hawks I don’t know if they’re going to get better because the not having Deonte Murray and Trey young there as far as breaking up some of that monotony there you got Rea share who’s coming in there I don’t know how much you want to put on a rookie but overall even if you like they had 36 wins last year they’re probably gonna stay somewhere around there unless they I I’ll say this I’ll say this Atlanta is the Intriguing one I think Atlanta gets better because they finally got rid of the problem what was the problem they had two dudes that needed to have the ball in their hands and they couldn’t figure out how okay I didn’t know if you were calling dejonte himself the problem is not a problem combination you you changed the problem with the team that like the second they traded for him I was like well that ain’t gonna work both both of these Ms need the ball in their hands to operate I think the Hawks actually can get better I don’t think it’s because it depends on like Jaylen Johnson who really took a step out for them does he continue to develop your lineup just makes more sense now having Trey young bogdanovich Zachary Arisha Shar Jaylen Johnson click Capell that lineup just makes more sense as far as from a basketball standpoint so we got to see what the coach is going to get out of and I do like that reare who does have tremendous potential is coming into a situation where he’s not GNA have to be relied on to do a bunch of scoring right away um so and we could have hey we could have the fathers of two of the players on the Atlanta Hawks because you already know that IO is Trey Young’s Daddy and according to madis billis he Z Zachary rare doesn’t want to see him on the court so maybe we own them in that way got a couple of parents that’d be good I’m always good know yeah it is what it is man hang out on Father’s Day I’m always I’m always down with a father Sumer re Union man and then the only team that that was below the Bulls last season so the teams below the Bulls other than the Hawks the Nets Raptors Hornets Wizards and Detroit Pistons none of them got better I well I think if the Charlotte horns now this is a big big reach if they can stay healthy I do think that they have a chance to be much better than what they were last season bringing back miles Bridges Brandon Miller really fin That season way stronger than he started it off and Mark Williams who missed a lot of time that season as well if you get Mark Williams and lamelo ball more healthy than what they were last season I think that team can take a step up from where they were last season yeah but I think they they go back to what they were the second year of lamelo right when they made the play in weren’t they a 36 win team yeah but that was also before Brandon Miller or or uh or Mark there Mark Williams there so so I get what you’re saying I’m not saying I’m not saying I deny you but you got two players that I think those those two young guys are much better than anything that they had had there and this was a team that won 43 games in 2021-22 so listen all I’m saying is if you betting on ball knees you got a bad situation I mean that is a fact that’s why I did say that that’s I don’t Den is is a dangerous game to play in this in this modern League bro and I guess the question that you have to ask yourself there too is like much like with the New Orleans Pelicans is like how good if if Lonzo does not come back healthy how how much does Brandon Miller step up how much does Mark the other players uh uh progress as well and they got Trey man down there so now I will say this this is right at least in my mind we’re doing this scenario based on everybody coming back and basically being the players who they are yeah Kobe white takes a step how much is that improv the Bulls Josh giddy plays like he played in okay see where it’s not to say he’s maybe he’s still not 16 points a game but like he’s he’s facilitating the ball very similar to what he did in OKC how much does that change the Bulls that’s the thing though is that I can see very well this team being a team that’s playing a more exciting brand of basketball but I don’t know how much is I I think that this team with the lack of Defense still lack of uh of shot blocking still lack of three-point shooting I still think that this is a team that they may make some games interesting but they may keep in mind how many game the Bulls played 20 over 27 or they have 27 clutch game wins yeah and a lot of that was because of DeMar rosen they don’t have that anymore now so I think that this is going to be a team that even if they do play similar to the same level you don’t have your closer so now hopefully somebody steps up in that and then we’re we’re having a different conversation but if they don’t I could very well see them see us saying dang that one just got away if only they learn how to close but I think is is this the situation now where maybe you’re not in the clutch game because think about how we got in a lot of those clutch games blown leads in a fourth cuz we just couldn’t score I mean like the the the the off now maybe defensively you can’t stop anybody I don’t know what this defense is going to look like without Alice kuso being a part of it but offensively speaking I would say this is a this is a more capable offensive team I’m not gonna say it’s a better offensive team because Demar is an offense by himself but I think this is a more capable offensive team where you can have somebody literally set everybody up to go out there and be successful and Josh gy that Kobe white relationship I would assume was probably playing in the fourth quarter um very similar to how AC used to right like I think that you have more capability to be an offensive team and maybe not have those scoring droughts where last season I mean it was like listen those scoring DRS also were were in part because there’s no spacing and we still don’t shape up to have a lot of spacing that’s a large part in why we were so easy to defend down the stretch as well guess math problem that me you have talked about a lot for the last three years still has a big chance to present itself but see the math problem is the Bulls don’t take the threes now that problem can still exist completely that’s the part where it’s like you’re just not like do math dog like if you don’t take them you’re not gonna be able to be in this game I don’t know what to tell you now though I mean you’re talking about having percentage-wise four players that all shoot above four players that shoot above 40% from three right or above 38% from three and who we we got Patrick Williams doesn’t shoot over over 38% from three what’s Kobe Kobe I believe is like 36% from three if I’m not mistaken but the thing is is that we’ve had those players before and we’ve still had the three-point shoo ISS listen you gotta take I agree you need to take him and give yourself a chance I’m not saying don’t take them but aob was 37.6 last season okay damn yeah he did take 37.6 last I was going to say I thought it was a little better but what was IO from three IO was much better too down the stretch of that season uh I I’ll look at his numbers both overall in the season and I want to look at as a starter because they were much better as a starter yeah I IO finished last season 40% and then you add in Duarte who what what is he now de not how’s darte Gonna Get Off the Bench bro where’s di gonna play at he shoot he Sho that’s it but you got you got we you have 144 minutes total between the one two and three well not playing in my in my we know Javon so let’s go through the guard so between those three positions you got Josh giddy Zack LaVine Kobe white Patrick Williams Mattis billis that I see getting off the bench before you get to Chris De Arte and that’s not even to mention if Patrick Williams if dalen Terry if Tory Craig play any minutes at the three I just don’t see DTE crack in the rotation if Zack lavine’s still on this roster well if Zack lavine’s still on this roster no DTE gonna be sitting on the end of the bench kicking it they might as well wave him uh but uh like if Zack lavine’s on the roster that’s a whole different story but but even with that right like it I guess in a perfect scenario right which is the conversation we’re having Zack LaVine being a part of this team I I keep saying this I don’t see how playing changes your value of Zack LaVine mother are like well teams are going to get desperate they there’s kind of already some desperate teams out here that still don’t want Zack LaVine like I don’t know what to tell I’ve been saying it for a long time too it’s like I like don’t get me wrong there’s one scenario that think Zack LaVine increases his trade value by playing if he plays well and the bulls look great when he plays well but if he gets his numbers and the Bulls still suck they’re gonna continue to say he doesn’t contribute at winning if he God forbid he plays and twists the big toe they’re gonna be like oh oh injury the problem is this is AK and this is the Bulls and literally if they start winning Zack lavine’s not going anywhere oh no I don’t believe that I think if they start winning Zack LaVine is still going going somewhere I truly do that I truly think that this that this team from what they’ve signal now they may try to allude to like hey the Bulls are actually maybe they can be a little competitive to see if they can increase that value a little bit a little bit more but I think the moment that AK gets a deal that he likes Zack lavine’s up out of there bro and I’m not saying that’s I’m just saying man cause my thing is my thing is for you to win Zack LaVine can’t just be putting up 50 right it’s got to be giddy’s playing well Co playing well they’re they’re all playing well with Z it’s the only way you’re going to win right it’s not like well Zack LaVine was cooking and like the rest of them sucked and they still sucked so we got to get Zack LaVine out of there like I think if the team is playing well literally AK would be like well it fixed [Music] itself I don’t believe that but hey that be weird that’d be a weird situation to be in bro but we’ve seen listen whenn in Cur all I keep saying that we’ve seen that in the leag winning C when you do it at a high enough level but even if this Bulls team does work win we’re still talking about a 39 win team 39 maybe 40 win trade value is increased is like you’re on a trajectory to win like 49 games G you know I think I think that increasing the fact that teams may be more willing to take what the Bulls already offered as far as like what I mean by increasing is that oh May oh hey hey they’re they’re now calling us you’re like hey that first round pick that we offered that’s off the table you still want them and teams are like yes yes we still want Zack I’m just saying that I think that Z that Zack LaVine could do enough to increase his trade value where teams look at the the the offer that the Bulls already like I mean seeing Jay Williams on this list is disrespectful that’s like he’s not a bust bro number five was Jay Williams and sorry five I got I got it backwards I got it backwards I got it backwards number five was Brad sers it looks like oh was backwards I thought it started off with or maybe I think see I think we got two different what what what site are you on for yours I’m using uh Bulls wire in USA Today I’m on a whole different site so they got a different okay the one I see first is Brad sers but I thought it was Jay Williams first um Jay Williams being on this list is completely un I don’t agree with using them as a but like to me the circum I get why people call the Jay Williams pick a bust because he didn’t work out he played one season it didn’t work out but like to me that injury didn’t even happen playing basketball so I can’t lame him a it’s a terrible situation and it still sucks but I can’t label him as a player of bust because I just I I don’t know I just don’t view that I feel like Jay Williams would have been cold in the NBA but now here’s the thing can you label him a bust because the injury was him doing something that he literally has said many times he had no business doing it was in his contract if you do this and you get hurt we will not pay you and Jerry just ended up being a very honorable guy and paid him anyway yeah I mean yeah that’s what I said I can understand why people do try to label it a bus um I completely understand that but to me I just I just don’t personally look at it that way because it wasn’t like what he it was a bust because he couldn’t perform on the basketball court well I mean he couldn’t because of the injury but it’s not like it’s not like something happened on the basketball court it wasn’t dumb mistake that he even admit but uh it sucks man it just sucks number two or number four on this list I guess here is uh Marcus fizer Marcus fizer they say had a six-year career uh but he wasn’t terrible in Chicago nearly averaged 10 points five rebounds for his career however considering the Bulls selected him with the fourth pick in 2000 he was a serious fourth overall pick hey bro listen I’m G tell you this about Marcus fizer Marcus fizer is not even the reason that this is the Bulls front office is the reason that Marcus fizer is a bust because we wouldn’t give up Marcus fiser for the pick that became Dwayne Wade that’s why like I don’t even hate on Marcus fizer Marcus he wasn’t he wasn’t good as a fourth overall pick but like I all right whatever he showed some flashes there you go you I mean bro Dwayne Wade who wanted to come to Chicago who was clearly by every stretch of the imagination the better player I don’t care if he did play a Marquette that’s the guy that you were like nah you got I think you have to label him a bus mainly because six years you’re out of the NBA as a top 10 pick that’s a bus my boy yeah I think just by the nature of that it’s not like he just didn’t work out here he went you know even some players that you know some people try to lab label players that don’t just don’t turn into stars but they having really good long NBA careers where they’re solid role players it’s like yeah I guess you can as far as expectations you call it a bus but when you’re out the league six years where you’re still supposed to be in your Prime and you’re out The League yeah that’s a bust my boy here’s the tough part about me for Brad sers bro like he never had a chance because yes he’s 7 feet tall but he’s 210 lb and he was playing mostly power forward in add that jump shot bro that was the worst time of and he never tucked That Elbow quite right the elbow just never quite got tucked like yeah it was whenever he tucked it bro I ain’t gonna lie whenever he tucked it that mug was pure but when that mug was out here bro like he was like I remember there was one game where Tyrus Thomas hit three three points and took them confidently and I I don’t know if that was before Derrick got here or not but he took those three three-pointers confidently and you’re just like hey maybe he could put it together and then you started realizing like all you got to do is move your eyebrow if people if you moved your eyebrows he would jump and try to pump fake I mean and try to block your shot that’s it bro he thought he could block anything now I I guess hold on in his defense I guess in his defense in that 09 season I do think he was like two two and a half blocks a game 1.9 okay two that’s a good that’s a good I mean he averaged 1.3 blocks per game for his
