[Sixers Adam] Kelly Oubre Jr. says he had other options on the table, and indicates he had more money offered by other teams, but that he prioritized “situation.” Says his eventual goal is to sign a long-term deal, and he “fell in love with the game of basketball” in Philadelphia.

  1. Philly loves this guy, there’s nothing better than when a player breaks out when we’ve got zero expectations. Just stay off the motorcycles Kelly!

This says a ton about Nurse, Embiid, and Maxey.

  3. GOAT_SAMMY_DALEMBERT

He has his boneheaded moments, but this dude is very fun to watch in a Sixers uniform. Happy to have him on the squad.

  4. PSUDolphins

He has a clause where he gets a mil for every “you’re a bitch” he says. That’s his rate. They got to pay him that.

Thought he wasn’t important to the offseason that much before we signed him. I was very wrong. I hope he’s here for a long time.

Man got hit by a car here and said “Yep, that’s home.”

All time great vibes right now, I’m honestly having more fun than even the process era of underdog memes

The “you’re a bitch” moment is not something we’ll soon forget. I’m thrilled he’s back, he’s got a ton of talent.

Glad the city’s love for Kelly came through.

  10. And I fell in love with the player Kelly Oubre Jr after he visibly turned up his intensity in the final weeks of the regular season and the playoffs. What a high-character individual.

This dude for sure went to the Bryce Harper school of pandering but I don’t give a fuck I’m dumb and it works

  12. EaseofUse

Of the three big wing duos in the East, he’s definitely the weakest individually, but the opportunity to beat Boston or the Knicks in the playoffs is pretty juicy. Could potentially inflate his last bag just off reputation if things work out.

  13. theMAJdragon

Definitely need more dudes like him that are not afraid of the moment

  14. Oubre is the spirit animal of Sixers basketball, I’m glad he decided to stay.

  15. And they say philly only runs guys out of town smh. They never talk about how many players come here and never leave. Even if they finish their career with another team, some still return to be in the media space or help run/coach the teams. If philly is so toxic, why do so many former players return and stay forever?

If Kelly ✨ has a million fans, then I am one of them. 🙋🏻‍♂️ If Kelly ✨ has ten fans, then I am one of them. 🙋🏻‍♂️ If Kelly ✨ has only one fan then that is me. 🧏🏻‍♂️ If Kelly ✨ has no fans, then that means I am no longer on earth. 🪦 If the world is against Kelly ✨, then I am against the world. 🔪🌎

  17. We should have his early bird rights next offseason, so I imagine if he plays well, he will opt out and take a longer term, more lucrative deal.

Sixers Adam looks a lot like comedian Joe List.

Are 76ers going through the same “culture” revolution as the Eagles? Players really seem to like it here.

  20. JoetteJaramillo

btw paul george said kelly’s “your a bitch” moment inspired him to join the team not because Kelly necessarily but because Nick Nurse showed he cared when he was mad

  21. Cute-Contract-6762

Honestly I believe him. How well he played last year he could have gotten a bigger bag than what he got here. Love Oubre and hope he gets sick endorsement deals in Philly. He deserves it

  22. Alastor_Aylmur

i somehow feel willing to die for K.O. after how he’s been speaking of us.

  23. Well, the feeling is mutual, Tsunami Papi. Love you dearly.

  24. doctorlust

I think him and McCain will have similar play styles and will feed off each other. Gonna be fun to watch.

  25. He’s always had talent but seemed like he’s one of those guys who needed to figure out that he’s a high level role player and not a star. That seemed to click for him last year and hopefully it continues. He can play good defense and as a fourth or fifth offensive option and second unit bucket getter is elite.

I’ll be getting a black Oubre Jr. jersey if he does.
