who did you model your game after growing up or who did you look up to or did you just say I’m just going to be myself and started my own way like I said earlier I always been like a underdog the only like Star like that that I used to be like man it was Alan Iverson and I liked him because he reminded me of somebody from my neighborhood he had tattoos he had braids he had big ass earrings in he was tall te’s and dags like he just had neighborhood swag about him so I felt like I could relate to him

In this clip, Lillard talks about having zero hoop role models, but loving Allen Iverson because of the way he acted, looked, and carried himself. It reminded him of Oakland.
