All-Access: Matas Buzelis arrives home to Chicago | Chicago Bulls | NBA

That’s tough that fourteen nah, bro, that’s fire Get a good look at that Go Bulls, man. Go Bulls! I mean, it’s crazy. Growing up, in Chicago watching the Bulls it just means the world to me, honestly. So, you know, I don’t take this stuff for granted. You wearing the 5s for the photo shoot? I might, yeah Chest up a little bit, nice A couple of crossovers. The culture that they built here, a winning culture, that’s what I want to be a part of. I want to win. I didn’t really feel the realization of me coming into the NBA before the draft As soon as the draft hit, it was very emotional for me Of course you’ve all seen my brother, he was crying He knows how hard I work, so his emotions also poured out My sister cried a little bit, but it would look crazy if we were all crying The whole family worked extremely hard, so they know what it took to get here Yo, this butterfly’s tweaking On our right, we have the iconic Marina City Towers Ozark, Ozark was filmed there So cool to see it again. Great people, great energy, positive energy all the time. I’m just excited for the fans, honestly. The United Center is always packed out. Derrick Rose, Taj Gibson, Joakim Noah. That was probably one of my first games. Bean! Don’t go under there, it might fall You first! I don’t like this at all… I feel cool now under here, cause it’s a little hot outside There you go, get them angles. I got some waves. Thank you so much Appreciate it. Chi-town fans What is it, chicken? It tastes like chicken? Yeah, he’s a calamari guy! It don’t taste like chicken guys The experience that G-league Ignite was it was a great experience. My decision was to play against the best, of course, but also be coached by NBA trainers, you know, NBA coaches and play NBA rules. I think that was a big part of, you know, making the decision that I made. I think I fit many different ways because of my versatility, the pace that I play at, I can play on and off the ball. I can block shots, play defense. So it really depends on what the coach, you know, wants me to do. And that’s what I’m going to do to the best of my abilities I cannot do that glass thing from up top. I’m scared of that. Like walking out of the glass? No chance. I ain’t scared, I’m concerned. Look how many people are in that elevator… Hold your corner, everyone. This door better open This is too high. I live over there. No, no, I cannot do that Dude, I can’t do it We gotta face our fears, I guess C’mon, bro, I got you You gotta get a photo out there Ya’ll have to hurry up with the photo, it’s just a button! This is what I’m standing on? That ain’t enough You need about eight more pieces. Let’s get it Congratulations! My eyes aren’t even shut We did that I’m proud of myself for stepping on that. Man, that was scary. You got to face your fears, though, so it was fun. What’s up Bulls fans, it’s your boy Matas I’m here with Pat and Julian, and we’re about to go check out the NASCAR experience I can really be a NASCAR driver. Give me about two months. We’re walking to go see the Jordan car. They’re lucky young Matas isn’t on the road because it would be wraps for everyone. UFC, big fan of UFC so you know, meeting him is an honor The race is about to start. Very excited to see what’s going to go down. Bro, we finna have some fun today. It’s loud!

  3. The kid looks pretty skilled. AKME has made a lot of boneheaded decisions, but I don’t think this will be one of them.

  4. He literally said on a podcast with JJ Reddick that he didn’t grow up watching the bulls or basketball in general and now all of a sudden 🧢

  5. First Ayo and now Matas. Two hometown kids making a difference in the Windy City. You can tell that Matas is living the dream to think and win big in Chicago.

  6. 1:40 Marina City where The Hunter (1980) with Steve McQueen was filmed. Car chase where the suspect loses control drives off a high floor of the garage into the Chicago river.

    Yeah, I'm old.
