Mitchell Robinson has seen his FT% decrease for 6 consecutive seasons. (same volume)

HOW?!?!?! 0 improvement? Based on this trend he will be shooting in the 30's % next season from the line. It's a shame.

  1. Mind boggling. But those hack a Mitch free throw hits in the playoffs were epic af

Edit: I still propose he does the granny through like will ferell in semi pro

  2. JoshHartHustle

    Thatā€™s a bonkers stat.
Mitch needs to be shooting 200 free throws before breakfast if he wants to play late in games.

  3. TernoftheArctic

He also put on a lot of weight. Which can hurt with that

  4. Slicerwind

He changed his form from an arc to a line drive. Why, I have no idea.

Not even joking, look at the very end of this video from his rookie year. He actually had an arc on his FT lol.

What I donā€™t understand is that there are over 10 coaches on the Knicks for less than 15 players. Why canā€™t there be someone that works on this with him every day? I love Mitch but thatā€™s unacceptable.

As much as i love Mitch on defense, his offense limitations are intergalactically infuriating.

  7. He doesn’t practice enough obviously, he needs to do a lot more than just lift weights and work on his body. He needs to work on his free throws and work on his post moves. Love the guy but if he wants to keep getting these big contracts he’s got to improve

  8. It’s literally just the lack of arc and touch. He needs to practice with a net in front of him blocking him from shooting flat.

exactly why we need a backup big who can shoot a tiny bit. Mitch cannot be our center come clutch time. Everytime he’s on the court during clutch minutes, it’ll be like chet running around trying to foul Derek lively

    Shoot FTs underhanded!

    ā€œBut I wonā€™t do that.ā€

His FG% has also declined three years in a row and was actually pretty low last season for a center who only dunks the ball. I worry that injuries have cost him some of his springiness

  12. AlphakirA

With his personality I’m genuinely surprised he doesn’t give underhand a shot. Hell, if you’re reading this Mitch, it’ll make the highlight reels at worst, c’mon, give it a shot.

  13. GyantSpyder

When he got hurt a few years ago he added a ton of upper body muscle while recovering and has added a lot of weight in general, which seems to have interfered with his shooting motion or perhaps caused his shooting form to fatigue faster.

  14. YourAsianBuddy

Meanwhile mf trying to post workout videos of him jacking 3ā€™s. Get in the gym and work on those free throws

I think most fans ignore this fact when saying Mitch is actually going to be a starting center on a championship team.

There is no fucking way a guy shooting as terribly he does and as 0 of an offensive threat (REBOUNDING IS NOT AN OFFENSE SKILL, IT’S A SPECIAL TEAMS SKILL) that the team that he’s one of the starting 5 on will win the title

  16. It’s weird. He also seemed to have pretty soft touch around the rim in his rookie year but it seems to have gotten worse each season. Maybe bulking up has made him less flexible?

  17. JNerdGaming

thats disappointing. i hate to say it but this is sort of an effort issue. he needs to practice more.
