Utah’s SHOCKING Asking Price For Walker Kessler REVEALED… | Knicks News

over the last few days the Knicks have been working the phones speaking to the Utah Jazz trying to pull off a trade for Walker Kesler and now finally the Utah Jazz have revealed the asking price for a walker Kesler trade to actually happen we’re going to break down these latest reports and so much more today if you’re not already subscribed to the channel go ahead and hit that subscribe button now trying to trade for a big man Center over the last few days there have been a lot of names that have come up during that time Nick Richard from Charlotte is one of them but the other person the other name that’s consistently come up in the Knicks trade talks have been Walker Kesler but the number one question on everybody’s mind was what was going to be the asking price from Utah in order for the Knicks to pull off that trade and now we finally have that information thanks to sny’s Ian Bagley let’s go ahead and pull up those following reports shout out to Ian Bagley for giving us the following information according to him the Jazz are asking for at least a first round pick and a walker Kessler trade Utah appears very open to listening to offers on the 7ot rim protector that is absolutely shocking if Walker Kessler’s asking price is at least a first round pick the Knicks have the assets available to pull off that trade now you might be asking yourself Troy they traded a lot of their first round picks from Mel Bridges true they did but they have those protected picks and they also have second round picks as well too and for everybody in the comments who screaming at me to include Duce McBride in this deal I don’t have to here’s the thing the Utah Jazz have enough players they have the players on their roster that they actually want they don’t need any players the Knicks don’t need to give up any players in this trade to get Walker Kessler with the roster that they have they can acquire Walker Kessler just by giving the Utah Jazz draft picks and then they can absorb his contract into their salary cap that way they can get Walker Kesler just by giving up picks and nothing else it sounds perfect for the Knicks and also perfect for the Utah Jazz the only question is will the Knicks protected picks be enough for Danny AES to say yes I’m willing to do this trade according to Ian Bagley it may not actually be enough at this point in time according to Ian Bagley he States the Knicks had some interest in trading for Walker Kesler teams in touch with Utah say that the Jazz are looking for at least one first round pick for him I’d assume the Knicks wouldn’t be able to get that deal done they are in touch with PR zoua who has drawn interest from several contending teams shout out to Ian Bagley of SNY for giving us the following updates about the Knicks and their trade interest in Walker Kessler here’s the thing though I’m not sure why Ian Bagley stated he doesn’t think that the Knicks would be able to get that deal done because in my head I still see the Knicks having those protected first round picks they still have second round picks as well too and if the Jazz are only looking for at least one first round pick in my opinion the Knicks have all the assets necessary to make this move happen and get Kesler on this team and as I said earlier they do not have to include a player in this deal to pull it off and get Kesler on this team they don’t have to include Duce McBride and if you look at the Utah Jazz and their roster let me ask you something do they need Deuce do do they need anybody on this Knicks team right now do they want anybody on this Knicks team right now because if I had to guess I would say no Utah is looking to load up on picks as many picks as possible that’s what they want and the Knicks have picks to give them right now the Knicks need another backup center sure they can look at prua but he’s likely the only name in free agency left for the Knicks to go ahead and sign to add to this roster as potentially another backup big man but if they trade for that backup they have a lot more options especially when you consider Nick Richard with the Charlotte Hornets and of course Walker Kesler with the Utah Jazz over the last couple of days the Knicks have made their intentions clear they are looking to get a backup Big Man on this roster either through free agency or what they seem to prefer at this point in time via trade they didn’t add a big man via free agency for a very long time in my opinion the only reason that happened is because they were working the phones trying to trade for that backup big or potentially that starting big whatever you want to call Walker Kesler if he’s added to this team a starting big man or a big man Off the Bench either way he’s likely going to see starter minutes when Mitchell Robinson goes down with injury I not hoping for it I don’t want to see it but if we’re looking at his past we’re looking at his injury history Robinson has been injured pretty much every single year of his career which means that headed into this season he’s likely going to experience another injury and that means he’s going to miss significant time for the Knicks if that happens we need a consistent big Off the Bench that can play all the games we ask them to but also have an impact when he’s out there for me there is no better big available on the market right now especially via trade than Walker Kessler he’s young he doesn’t make that much money he would Thrive under Tom thibo and with the roster we have right now he would also Thrive because of that we are also young we have Jaylen Brunson as our Superstar point guard imagine Brunson and his pick and roll game with Walker Kesler that would be phenomenal it would be mustsee television I would want to see it and I would absolutely want to see how it looks I would want to see the chemistry he has with Julius Randall with OG an anobi with Mel Bridges with other players on the bench because I think his impact is better than most players available right now on the trade market the Knicks must pull off this trade they need to get Walker Kesler on this team because if they don’t they really don’t have that many options left as I mentioned free agency not that many options left on the trade market not that many options left if they do nothing then going into next season they’re going to have Mitchell Robinson starting and then your backup center is likely going to be Jericho Sims who by the way has been in the gym he has been working on his free throws and his jump shooting yes I said jump shooting we’re going to get to that in another video but it is important to note he is doing that maybe the reason he’s doing that is to stay ready and prepared just in case he gets traded or indeed he has to play that backup center position for Mitchell Robinson either way the Knicks don’t want to leave it up to Jericho Sims to be the only person we have at depth for the backup center position it’s clear the Knicks are looking to add other big man to this roster to help back up Mitchell Robinson in case he goes down with injury or whatever the reason may be if they had enough faith in Mitchell Robinson or Jericho Sims they would not be doing this the fact that they’re doing this shows you where their concerns are for this roster it’s the center position right now as presently constructed the Knicks are an NBA Finals team and if we get there we have the chance to win a championship the Knicks understand that and they want to make sure when we get there we have the best roster available to us Mitchell Robinson he’s good when he’s available when he’s available health and availability have always been a concern for him that’s why I’m not mad at the Knicks looking at other centers on the market potentially trying to get them on this team because they recognize the same issue I recognize Robinson’s good when he’s there but the Knicks are very vulnerable when he’s not there the Knicks need to figure out that answer and make make sure they can fill in that void so we don’t have any issues in case Robinson misses time that’s going to be the biggest issue that the Knicks are going to have to figure out come this off season but right now I can say without question that the Knicks doing what they’re doing trying to trade for Walker Kessler and making sure they can get that deal done is the best move they can possibly do at this point in time in my opinion do not go after pre toua right now until you’re sure that Walker Kessler can cannot come to this team and that deal is dead if it’s still on the table or it’s a possibility Leon Rose worldwide West Gerson Rosa I trust you I believe in you and I know you can get this deal done why do I believe that OG an anobi is a Nick right now Mel Bridges is a Nick right now please Leon make it so Walker Kessler is also a Nick right now you do that you will go down in history as one of the best presidents of basketball operations of any
