Reacting To Brandon Ingram To The Detroit Pistons Article? | Could This Actually Happen?

hey guys what is going on Anthony here with pistons stock hope you guys are having a great day so far what I wanted to do today and I want to check my phone real quick before I do it okay all we have is Kate Cunningham is agreeing to his Max rookie extension so there’s that so we already knew that was going to happen why you guys are here today uh because got my noties on for uh this time of year because you never know if you’re going to get a wer sham bom why you guys are here today Brandon Ingram was mentioned in this article with the Detroit Pistons there’s been a lot of rumor circulating with Brandon Ingram what the Pelicans are going to do are they going to keep them are going to trade them are they going to extend them are they’re not going to extend them it it’s just been like a lot to keep up with that’s why today we’re going to be looking at this clutch points.com article written by their National reporter Brett seagull so shout out to Brett for this article uh I’m going to go over and scroll down to the piss section of this article because this is a very long lengthy article if you do want to read it I will leave a link in the description down below and you guys can check that out but let’s go over to the Pistons section of this article talking about Brandon Ingram possibly being a trade Target for your Detroit Pistons this is the Pistons section of this clutch Point piece so let’s let’s read it real quick you guys Ingram and his connection to Detroit revolve around the ties to new Pistons president Tran langon who came over from New Orleans this offseason langon knows what Ingram is capable of on the court and the 26-year-old would be another experienced veteran the Pistons could add this season joining the laks of Tobias Harris and Tim Hardway Jr the Pistons need scores next to Kate cting ham and they may be willing to sacrifice players like jayen durran or Isaiah Stewart for a player of Ingram’s caliber so this is the one part of the article that I really want to FOC focus on and I think you guys will too says uh they may be willing to sacrifice players like a jayen Duran or Isaiah Stewart for a player like Brandon Ingram um I got to be careful of how I uh say this I think after listening to tr and Lin’s presser he was very clear of how he wants to build a basketball team he said he doesn’t want to rush like skip steps I think was his exact word from what I remember and when we talk about guys like an Ingram Zack LaVine Lori marinan they’re probably the most targeted players right now um with every front office not just Detroit I I I think if if the Pistons had any of those players on their roster uh we would be talking you know can the Pistons upset someone in the playoffs at the bottom of the East um you know can they push for a top six seed those are all great basketball players at the end of the day but this article mentions the Pistons possibly sacrificing a jayen Duran who’s entering his third season and by the way shout out to Jaylen durren for just having such a great us Team USA scrimmage two years in a row looks really good out there going up against bam atabo and Anthony Davis um and he closed the second game with one minute left and made two key defensive stops that was a really close game um obviously the select team did lose by one point but uh they they gave Team USA a run for their money yesterday but getting back to the article they talk about sacrificing a player like Duren and we’ve talked about Duran on this podcast on this channel making videos all the time I think he’s 20 years old there’s a lot to like there there’s a lot of offensive potential there’s a lot of potential just period with him as a player as a basketball player and he’s still in a rookie deal the Pelicans would absolutely love a Jayla dur I guarantee you any Pelicans fan that I’ve talked to they love JD they’d love to get Duren um in in New Orleans in terms of sacrificing like the way I take that is the Pistons are desperate enough they may attach to Jaylen Duran to get bi to get more scoring around Kate Cunningham right I think most of you they are subscribed to this Channel or have watched our podcast at least once or twice you’re probably fans Jaylen dur he’s a good basketball player entering his third season if the only thing we’ve really criticized him on this channel is defense and I think you can get better at that I think I saw um some progression in the scrimmages yesterday um you know grabbing rebounds blocking shots uh you know uh tapping the ball off Tyrese H Burton off his knee and crunch time and a in A Team USA scrimmage um I think jayen dur can get better defensively and I I I think it’d be very premature to give up on a player like that it would be such a pissing thing to do to uh trade a giley Tay andur right um now they did mention Isaiah Stewart and I think when we’ve talked about Isaiah Stewart on this channel a lot of you guys either like him or hate him there’s like no in between I personally like Isaiah Stewart now the Pelicans have been reported for multiple years dating back to 2020 they really like Isaiah Stewart they tried trading up on the draft in 2020 with Pistons obviously you know try Weaver and the Pistons said no uh they’ve called the Pistons ever since Isaiah Stewart has been with the organization even after he got his contract extension teams are still asking about Isaiah seart are the Pistons willing to take calls and we saw a report last month or a couple weeks ago that the Pistons are shopping to see what his current value is around the league seeing what they can get now that doesn’t mean that they’re saying we’re going to trade Isaiah Stewart they’re just seeing what his possible value is now this article does mention both Duran and or Stewart I think if the Pistons believe Brandon Ingram is a guy Brandon Ingram is a player to get them into playoff contention they will make this move they will trade for Brandon Ingram but I honestly think Tran Langan and the Detroit Pistons want to see what they have and and we said that all last year that you know the old front office wants to evaluate the the the young guys to to see what they have Tran’s brand new bringing in a new coach brand new front office basically and you look at the type of deals that they are making it’s not long-term money you guys to buy his ha sign for two years 52 million Tim Hardway Jr that we traded for is on a oneyear $16 million contract uh Malik Beasley one year 6 million these contracts are not longterm I think the Pistons are keeping their flexibility open they’re keeping their money open for better free agencies for years to come they’re seeing what this team needs if they can build around Kate Cunningham or if Kate Cunningham needs more help H maybe he needs a robin right I think of the Pistons wanted to trade for Ingram they could do it right now like this article suggest you get desperate enough you throw JD in there but I I think they’ll do that but let me know what you guys think of this article from clutch points do you think there’s a possibility the Pistons could try to land a Brandon Ingram from New Orleans or are you like me and you just don’t believe it you’d rather hang on to a jayen Duren and and Isaiah Stewart just to kind of see uh how this season does progress with the new head coach like JB bicker staff brand new players like Tim Hardway Jr Tobias Harrison Malik Beasley I’ll talk to you guys down Below in the comment section like always hope you guys are staying safe take care I’ll catch you guys in the next video [Music] peace o [Music]

  1. If he would take 4 yr 35 m deal then trade Stew Ausar but thats the most. He wont get us to 24 wins short sighted move

  2. The BI question is always who wants to give him the max contract he wants. Maybe it’s Detroit but then the money is mostly tied up in 2 players and maybe that’s good but maybe that should be spent elsewhere.

  3. I like Ingram but the pistons need to let these players play together before they make a trade. I think the environment will be better this season since Monty not there.

  4. I still we should look at some of the waived bigs and see what is still available for little to nothing and could be helpful off the bench like Pokusevski or bertans or both if possible

  5. Adding Ingram comes with high-risk/ high reward. The pros don’t outweigh the cons unfortunately. Questions surrounding him wanting a max deal, his fit alongside Cade & most importantly, his injury history. As much as I would like to see a player of that caliber in a Pistons uniform, it’s a difficult pass 🤷🏾‍♂️

  6. The players have very low trade value as of now since they are partly all based on last season. The shooting and and competent caoch will raise trade value of the guys.

  7. No offense to BI. I would like to see how JB Bickerstaff improve their defense.. a while ago,Pistons signed Paul reed for 24M for 3 years.. the best time to decide who stays or goes would be after 1 year.

  8. No…..we would have to give him the bag….over 200 million….dude average about 52 games a year…..we need picks and more picks

  9. Not for Jalen Duren. Not sure I like BI's game or not. What exactly is his game?? Duren has more upside, I think he's capable of learning how to shoot elbow jumpers. Let's see what we've got first with this roster under the new regime before we go "willy nilly"

  10. I understand the approach of Trajan right now. From what he said from his first prescon and how he evaluated the players and made a deal with the players. He's patiently waiting for the right time and not rushing everything.

  11. I can see the pistons trading Stewart and Sasser. The PG on pelican is not strong and they need bigs that can stretch the floor to help Zion. I do not think they would want Duren. If you look at their roster Murray and McCollum are really SG or combo guards.
