Bam needs to take it to the rim strong and use his strength, speed and athleticism dammit.

  2. That’s 4 shots a game total across the two of them. Sometimes you just need guys to take shots.

Bam isn’t a long two guy

Big misconception with *most* those jumpers he takes. They are paint (non RA) jumpers. In what’s classified as the midrange yea thats not really his shot

Almost all of them average 20+ ppg. This doesn’t make them look bad it’s just makes taking midrange shots look bad.

Just off watching Jimmy and Bam, they kinda make it difficult for themselves and make those ridiculous mid shots. I’m not surprised when they don’t go in. Especially the fadeaway.

Outside of the Heat guys listed, I probably watch Poole and Ant more. Ant definitely makes it more difficult on himself. It’s like he’s driving to the basket, but he stops and fades for a middy. The worst ones are when him and Poole take them after the team drains the clock.

We don’t shoot 3s that much and suck at mid range. ooof.

First yall say he gotta create more and not be useless on offense, now we criticizing him for low midrange when it doesnt even say the zones, the distance and whatnot.

He will be fine and will be diversifying his range after this summer anyway. Just don’t know why this sub always looks for reasons to make themselves feel right about their belief the season is “over.”

At least they know where they aren’t effective with this graphic. Don’t do well with, but also don’t shoot many midrange jumpers.

  9. Zero0Mystery

Yeah Bam’s middy wasn’t as strong as it usually is. I’m fine with him taking those because come playoffs he will need to shoot em.

Unlike Jimmy with RS three pointers vs playoff 3s, it is hard to justify not taking middys in the RS than taking a bunch in the ‘offs.

One strange thing about this new era is that only the best players are even allowed to take midrange shots, which is why so many great or good players are on this graphic (minus Poole).

Do a DPOY 2 former league and final MVP. The best young guard and the best young center . I’d take any one on this list on my team

Eye test bore that out. Bam was less aggressive on offense, probably because of the Herculean defensive load he shouldered, but he for sure looked way too in love with that middie

  12. Adrian-Hechavarria

When you factor in mis range paint jumpers, bam is actually above 45% which is actually pretty dang good. This is a stat more-so for longer mid range shots.

I don’t know about this stat.

Both Jimmy and bam… And definitely Edwards are great mid range shooters
