The Memphis Grizzlies Will Be Elite Next Season
what’s up everybody welcome back hope everybody’s having a great day or night whenever you’re watching this I can’t help but feel like the Grizzlies are about to have a pretty impactful and uh entertaining Revenge season next year just because I feel like they just slept on now they they were injured all last year so nobody was talking about them but now we’re looking at like who who are the teams that are going to be lining up to be fighting for the Conference finals next year and I don’t think a lot of people are thinking of the grizzly when in reality they’ve been one of those best teams in the league prior to last year where they had all these damn injuries but now they coming back they coming back they’ve got young talented players I mean that a lot of the roster is just flat out young and talented but they got a star and John Mor they got a lot of good things going on and I want to talk about it as to why I think that they’re probably going to dominate a lot next year and uh I don’t think they got enough credit so uh let’s do that yeah if you’re new to the Channel Please Subscribe if you like this kind of content please like the video but let’s talk about why I think the Grizzlies are going to be one of the best teams in the west next season and I’m just going to tell you and I want to know in the comments where do you have them ranked in the west what seed do you think they will be I’ve got them right at five I think five is a safe spot as long as they’re healthy but here’s the thing they got John Mor right we’re going to start with their best player and there have been so many things said about him bad bad bad he’s this he’s that with the really have him been saying is that when he’s healthy he’s like a top two or three point guard in the entire NBA who has shown up in the in the playoffs and dominated other great defenses putting 40 plus point games on teams that eventually went to be Champions he’s had a lot of good stuff happening in his career obviously we have the bad stuff but we haven’t heard any of that in like a year plus so if he stays on that path where the bad stuff is not popping into the picture and he’s just hooping there’s not many better than him and people don’t want to give him that credit because they want to say he’s this he’s that and I think it’s dumb uh as long as he continues on this path where he’s you know keeping his life in order and I think it’s at this point he’s become slept on you can even maybe even say underrated by a lot of just because people you haven’t seen him in a while and the last time you did see him they were talking bad about him and you know he was doing some bad things of course but the talent is is has always been there so I if he’s healthy there’s there may be one point guard in the NBA that’s better than him and he plays in Golden State so and even that it could get debatable sometimes when they go head-to-head and it I’m not saying I’m not saying that he’s bad I’m not I’m not doing that I’m just saying it could get debatable cuz he jaw shows up when he plays against other great point guards he shows up in big time but yeah so you’re going to get him healthy back you’re going to get one of the best players in the world back and healthy that you can never go wrong when that happens then you have jiren Jackson Jr who feeds off of johnar R last year we saw sure his points and things like that went up his efficiency went down just because of the main factor of when your best player is not out there the defenses look at you different they’re able to size in on you a little bit more he’s he’s coming back he’s going to be healthy he’s had a few years in a row now where he’s been healthy and the former dpoy he we know he can protect the rim and I think that they did a nice thing bringing in somebody next to him this you know in the draft I’m going to talk about him later youall probably know who I’m talking about but they allow him to play the four be that free safety Defender uh and how that’s how I’m envisioning they’re going to use him and he’s really good when he put him in that role so floor spacing big man that protects the rim not many of those that are as Elite as he is at both so I like jiren Jackson junior going into next season then you have Desmond Bane who is shown he can be a 20 plus Point per game kind of guy any given night he can create for others he’s 40 plus% from three he will get down in the nitty-gritty on defense he plays with an edge he’s everything that you want out of like a a complimentary guard next to johnar that’s he’s basically does everything jaw doesn’t do great at like particularly on the shooting side of things and the defensive side of things he amplifies it so Desmond ban coming back next year after having an injury Riddle last year I think is going to be nice uh he’s he’s shown that he can be that guy on any given night so what else do you need to know so those are like the three main core guys right it’s been that way for the last several years for Grizzlies fans but the who’s the glue guys who’s the the rotation pieces that are going to fill in every single night and provide the team with what they need you’re starting with Marcus Smart that I think it starts right there he’s the ultimate glue guy he’s former DPO locks up still can shoot the three can create for others rebounds hustle does it all that’s one of those guys that teams love to have hate to play against and they they have a couple of those guys on this team but Marcus is also he’s a leader too that’s that’s something that I think that this Grizzlies team needed was a vocal leader and they got that and Marcus obviously last year they were all injured he was injured for a lot of last year as well coming back into this year I like his fit on their team I like what what could happen then you have other guys like Brandon Clark coming back who came back at the very end of last season uh looked decent towards the end it takes a long time to come back from these injuries that he’s come that he’s come down with the last couple of years but that’s one of the better LOB threat big men Off the Bench that can rebound can block shots get is an energy guy off the bench I’d like to see Brad and Clark back next year healthy finally has a full off season where he’s not you know recovering from something and he can go in and train and I think that’s going to be beneficial get his body right uh then you have Luke Canard 40% from three I think he got a different like they restructured his contract or something like that got him back he’s just a good player he’s going to space the floor he’s going to be a good option next to guys like Mor and Bane and others that I’m going the list um just a good player you not a Defender he ain’t going to do anything like that but he’ll create for others sometimes he’ll knock down the midi he’s you have to respect him 45% from three you can’t leave him out there otherwise you’re going to get scorched so I think having him is nice then you have Sanel dama who I didn’t know this but is apparently 7 feet tall I thought he was like 68 69 uh but he he could space the four a little bit I think he’s like 35% from three it’s not Elite or anything like that but he’s a you get a big man that can do that and as like a a good solid effort guy uh cool like you can’t you can never have too many of those on your team so I think he’s good Off the Bench I like him and then this is where it gets fun for me and I’m looking at my notes here because that’s seven guys right there that are like either star players All-Star level players or or good rotation players that’s seven guys right there which in the playoffs you usually only play seven or eight guys so you have a good solid seven right there but the young guys on this team I’m talking the young young guys the guys that have only played a year or two or rookies that’s where I think theyve they’ve set themselves apart in finding gems uh in later parts of drafts and then we’ll start with Zach Edy who was a you know I think he was pick nine this year you just gave johnar a 7 foot4 Center who is going to be a monster on the glass he’s going to protect the rim he’s going to set nasty screens and anytime johnar drives to the rim he’s going to attract two so you’re going to have easy put backs all day long I can’t wait to see those two play together cuz Ed might be just a a 13 and 10 every night playing 23 minutes a game whatever it is but that combo is going to be nice and I I also like the Ed fit next to jiren Jackson Jr because it allows jiren to go into that free safety rule where he’s playing off ball on the defense and has the helps side Rim protection which is always a great thing that to have with him so Edie is going to put jiren in a little bit better situation he’s going to make life easier on jaw and he’s just a monster in the middle that’s something you have to pay attention to you you can’t leave him one-on-one more than likely down there with most centers like that Center is probably going to get cooked he’s too big so that’s going to attract the defense’s attention which is now you’re taking attention off of Desmond Bane off of John Morant off of jiren Jackson Jr and off of anybody else that’s on that floor those dudes all demand attention so now you’re taking it and you it’s pick your poison with him now I was a little skeptical with a pick but I’ve warmed up to it after kind of seeing how he fits on the roster we got a guy that I also want to talk about there’s two guys left but I’m going start with GG Jackson he’s 19 right now he ain’t going to be 20 till like December he was 18 for a portion of his rookie season and we watch that man after the All-Star break average a dub average like close to 20 a night last game of the season puts up 44 points he can score he’s going to put the lights out and he’s putting up numbers like that granted is on a bad team injured team that was struggling but he put up numbers like that on a team as a 19-year-old kid essentially while teams knew that like yeah we really only have to worry about him I I think that’s impressive I think he’s going to be kind of like a lightning in the bottle kind of player and he’s one of those guys I was alluding to and I say you find gems later in the drafts that they fall for whatever reasons but he plays with Attitude he can score he you know he seems to be an infectious kind of guy so and like I said he’s still super super young and he has other great players around him either you know around his position or in complimentary positions he’s a fun player he’s a fun player and The Grizzlies fans are going to love that guy for a long time as long as he’s there but another one that they go to love Vince Williams Jr got to watch a little bit of him in his sophomore year last year where you know he was forced to play a bigger role just because of all the injuries and he showed that he could do a little bit of everything jack of all trades where he can get you 10 15 points he can get you five six rebounds he can get you four five assists he can lock up like he’s getting he has like Elite defensive potential and now once you kind of take the offensive responsibilities off of him and you’re handing them to John Mor Desmond Bane you know Marcus Smart guys like that you’re putting the offensive responsibility on those guys now he can lock up even more on defense he fits perfectly next to all these guys so you have three young guys that like really young guys that are quality rotation pieces at the worst that you found either late in the draft or took a chance on early in the draft like Ed where you know teams were were trying to to trade up to get other players and like they just took best player available in their minds and he like the fit is nice they’ve got 10 Deep you got 10 Deep and that’s not to say that there’s not somebody else that could come in and be that 11 guy when somebody goes down for a couple weeks whatever it is if Health if healthy they’re they’re a matchup nightmare because they can hit you from always and they’re going to be good defensively and they have a good coach and Taylor Jenkins if healthy if healthy that that is a huge asteris that we’ve learned with a lot of NBA teams if healthy they’re going to be a problem and health is the only thing that scares me with them because anytime you have an injury brutal teason like they just did like it’s it’s like oh hopefully that doesn’t carry over to the next year and we’re just cursed I think hopefully that will not happen of course but because of that I would have him at five but if they’re healthy they can climb they can climb up that that conference no problem but I like OKC I like Dallas I like Minesota and I like Denver to all be right in that mix too but that’s not to say that like I said it’s not like it’s not to say that Memphis can’t be above any of those teams they can’t you know be a dark horse run in and and make something happen but let me know in the comments do you think five is fair do you think it’s too high do you think it’s too low let me know in the comments why what’s the rationale cuz I think they’re polarizing team that that the more you talk about them the more you like them and that’s one thing I’m noticing in this video I’m I’m becoming like like really excited for what their what next season will look like for them cuz they could be special yeah anyway if you’re new to the Channel Please Subscribe if you like this kind of content please like the video just watch out for Memphis next year if they’re healthy they a problem it’s that simple but thanks for watching done peace

Will the Grizzlies be a top 5 seed in the west next season? Like & subscribe!!
So great to hear from other basketball fans that have payed attention to the grizz. It seems you are as on the pulse to what us grizzlies fans witnessed last painful season and how it set us into a now hopefully special season ahead. a couple things you might've missed is the fact we have unfortunately yet to resign Kennard, the development of our now backup/3rd string 1 (behind Smart possibly) Scotty Pippen Jr. into an efficient Tyus esq PG and the incredible hole left from Steven Adams đłđż of rebounding/powerful screens that its looking like Edey might be able to fill with the bonus of elite finishing. here's hoping for a healthier season
You smoking good dope if you think we going to be #5 đ
My only thing I'm a lil nervous on is GG Jackson isn't ready to step in whatever role that they will have for him….he try to play hero ball and we don't need that next year…. jacking up a lotta 3's and stuff…
Thank you sir. Hearing these types of compliments from someone outside of Memphis, or someone who is not necessarily a Grizzlies fan is very flattering. Here in Memphis we are expecting a special season as well. We wanted But it seems like that feeling is only here in Memphis. We have not signed Kennard yet, but l think that we will, which is a good thing. Anyway…WE ARE MEMPHIS. GO GRIZZLIES AND TIGERS!
They better make sure they build the team around Zach I know that for sure
ja just looks smarter, actually a joke, no much use ,
