Man, I hope we’re not replacing some vet presence via pg with…. Strawther

I actually think this could work. Jamal wasn’t a perfect fit for the mold at first. If Jules can play a little pg he will make the rotation a ton

If Booth lets us go into next season with no backup PG, he deserves to get canned. And expecting Strawther or Pickett to “step up” are not answers given what we’ve seen.
I don’t mind Strawther getting more ball handling experience but expecting him to take over the 2nd unit is a huge stretch. I’d rather have Westbrook or even Lowry

No. We’re getting Russ or Micic end of discussion

Not PG, but both Braun and Strawther are decent drive threats so that is a start. And something they both do better than KCP which should help a bit
If Saric and Holmes are initiating bench offense maybe they just need a game manager in backcourt? Could try it but lack of creation will hurt
STRAWTHER BRAUN WATSON HOLMES SARIC
It’s worth a shot with Denvers current guard prospects, make your top 8 players all handle the ball and hope something sticks.
Braun should’ve got way more reg season mins and touches last season, and in end wasn’t ready.
This year rest Jamal in the fall and play the main 4 young guys 20 mins every night.

I think the first part of the statement is Moach being a supportive coach and backing up his FO to project unity in the organization with the development of a young talent.
I also think the second part highlights his own personal opinion on how they will actually utilize the talent of Strawther, and it will be as a secondary ball handler on the floor (combo guard style) and not the primary for the rotation team.
Moach also said in the same interview that there are still things in play to fill the two empty roster spots they have and that several items are still in the works.
This just gives me hope.
