“Michael Malone and Julian Strawther are on the same page heading into Summer League.
After Monday’s practice, Strawther expressed the desire to explore his ability as a playmaker in Las Vegas. His coach would like to see the same thing when the Nuggets kick off Summer League on Friday night.”

I saw Malone saying that he believes Julian can play point guard. It will be interesting to see if he gets on-ball reps during SL (he should imo).

I saw him run pick and roll with Jokic last year in game and hit Jokic in stride for Jokic to shoot his floater. The Nuggets need a pg that can run 2 man action with Jokic when Murray is out. That means hitting Jokic for the floater and if that pass is not available, kicking it out to a 3 point shooter in the corner. If Strawther can run 2 man game with Jokic, he doesn’t need to be a full pg. I’m a big fan of this move. Strawther looked like the Nuggets 4th best passer last year to me (behind Jokic/Murray/Gordon).

Julian is in a similar situation as Jamal was coming out of the draft. Different skill set, but the concept is the same. Obvious 2 guard with playmaking and ball handling upside. Malone developed Jamal, I believe he can develop Julian too.
